The transforming and movement of the bots really sold me. Especially the cool rolling/fliping that Starscream does.

The Bumblebee air freshener hanging from the 80s Camaro rear view mirror is a nice touch too.

I liked the "the must be Japanese" line from Spike, funny.

When are the weekends? These look very cool (if I can find them)! Leave it to Hasblo to make the coolest stuff the exclusives.  :P

Saturday and Sunday  ;)

A few months ago, fans got a sneak peek at four new exclusive maquettes bound for this year's Star Wars Weekends at Disney-MGM Studios in Florida. Visitors will have a bunch more exclusives waiting for them this year when the annual event stops in for four consecutive weekends between June 1 and June 24, with a great poster, pins, figures and other collectibles now readying for release.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Gas Prices
« on: May 11, 2007, 07:31 PM »
Today at noon gas was $2.99 I figure "hey, I'll just wait til after work then to get gas, surely they won't gouge and raise the price over the next four hours".

So, 4 hours later I pull up to the pump $3.25. I didn't give them the satisfaction.

******* ********.  >:(

Same card shape and graphics; coin is there, figure is there.  Cardback is different (on US cards anyway) but that's not so obvious.

True, but I think it's the blue accents that's the attention graber which draws the unscrupulous and collector-types alike. So, I rank these on the same level as last year's UGH and this year's uber-UGH gold coin chases. Hasbro must be cognizant of that...

It's almost EU in the sense that it's not movie canon, though it is the basis for what we eventually got.

Pre-canon...  ;D

McTrooper is gone.

The hoopla around these McQuarrie figures is amazing - everybody wants them, from the casual collector to the completist.

I wonder if Hasbro has been taken by surprise...

Hmmm... make an all new figure, put it in packaging that sets it apart from others in the line, (which seduces scalpers and hoarders) and have 1x or 2x per case?

I doubt they're surprised.  :P

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 2007 Saga Legends

I probably should go look for photo reference first, but just offhand, is it still accepted that there are grey and white pauldrons (in the film, that is)?  I thought the grey had been discounted as dirty white ones.

From SW.com Databank under Sandtroopers

"Sandtroopers wear colored pauldrons as a designation of rank. A stormtrooper sergeant's pauldron is white while an enlisted stormtrooper's pauldron is all black. Squad leaders, who lead units of seven troopers, wear orange shoulder pauldrons."

No mention of gray.

Regarding the beer and ebay... You've probably heard about the idea of having to blow in to a breathalyzer before you can drive- well, apply it to computers and maybe you've got a product worth licensing to SW fan wives everywhere.

As long as shoe/clothing retailers get the same thing  ;D

I only wish we'd get and accurate ROTJ Blaster Rifle for Fett rather than the ESB one he comes with.

Nice! I hope BBTS pulls through for me  :-\

It was supposed to be the Cloud City Version of Chewie with 3PO in tow, but as you know, that ended up in one of the Repack waves (WV7) of the Saga line. So we're stuck with this.  :-\

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Customs by Sith's Herald

Nice Stuff Steve! The Ewok is great as is the Force Witch with Rancor - nice use of the Elizabeth Swann from POTC:AWE figure. Very cool.

What did you use for the feather on Skunky the Ewok Warrior?

Made for TV, just like the Ewok things were, so they could be anything.  Hopefully one will be for Lifetime, dealing with Gargan's struggle to carve out a new life for herself following the unfortunate death of her boss, and her difficult decision to undergo triple breast-reduction surgery.  Starring Meredith Baxter-Birney.

I'd watch it.  :P
