So yeah, this just got announced.  I'm all in.

Figures.  Just got mine off ebay for about $27 shipped.  After waiting on the rainbow droid and getting bit in the ass, I didn't want to take any chances.

Did you see it and actually decide to wait on it?  I feel like it was already going for $50 on Ebay by the time I even heard about it.

I was seeing the Pride Droid in the $35 range (which I gladly would have paid if I knew then what I know now) when they were first released.  I always try to stay under $25 shipped for these droids and for the most part, have been successful.

For those wondering about free shipping, D23 members get free shipping for a limited time -

I'll keep an eye out for it and maybe we can group order if it pops up.  I can check with my Disney contact too.

*EDIT* Reached out to my Disney contact on FB to check stock and prices.  Anyone else looking for these or just Dave and me?

Kubricks / Re: Recent Acquisitions
« on: January 15, 2020, 08:12 AM »
After years of not really collecting Kubrick, I've been going back and trying to fill in the holes in my collection (mostly chase figures).  Managed to win the Hoth Rebel Soldier, Imperial Commander and the black R2 unit for a good price a couple of weeks back (lost out on Owen from the same seller).  Since then, I've found Gree and Shaak Ti for a good price.  I got my eyes on some others that I might bite on as well.  Hammerhead, AT-ST Driver and Tion Medon might be pipe dreams, as those are few and far between and the prices are still a bit rich for me.

My short spoiler free review of Endgame - it was perfect.

Will discuss more once others have seen it.

If you've ever wondered what the Bat-Dong looked like, well, your prayers have been answered:

(Spoiler - it's nothing like Toad with Yeti pubes...)

Normal Skrulls are fair game, it's just Super Skrull and the other FF characters Marvel can't use (yet).

Long shot I know, but is anyone interested in just the girl and the protocol droid and not the astro droid?  I was ready to buy the set, but I just can't bring myself to spend almost $60 for just the astro droid.  If someone's willing to split the set with me, I'll buy it and we'll figure out the details.

Holy ****, that thing is hideous.

Can't wait to add it to the collection.

Depends.  There are a few curse words, including one use of **** and the second key challenge might be a bit intense for her (I don't want to spoil it but it's based on a scary movie).  My twelve year boy jumped a bit.  Other than that, it's similar in action to the MCU movies.

Saw Ready Player One and loved it.  I've read the book twice (finished the second time just last week in anticipation) and while the spirit and general theme of the book is in the movie, there's some drastic changes.  I understand why it was done (who wants to watch two avatars playing Joust and acting out War Games?), but I went in expecting 80s pop culture up the wazoo and that's what I got.  If you're expecting a straight adaptation of the novel, you'll be disappointed.

It'll take a long time to analyze the cameos, references and assorted call outs contained within.  Looking forward to seeing it again.

Lego shop at home had a limited supply in stock yesterday and I managed to grab one.  I was going to wait until I was able to get double VIP points on the purchase, but have jonesing for the set since I finally saw it in person a few weeks back.  So glad I decided to sell off my Marvel Legends and DCUC that paid for this (plus the Silent Mary and a new set of golf clubs  8))

Other Collectibles / Columbia Hoth Jackets

Han's jacket's the wrong ******* color  >:(

I like them but not $400 like them.  Can't say I'd wear it skiing either (and this is coming from someone who proudly rocks his Sperry Death Star boat shoes), so these are more of a novelty item for me.
