I still need to mail in my pop's for Qui-Gon and the Eopie.  I've got an Eopie from the Episode I line, but I think I could go for another 3 or 4.  Especially considering it's relatively cheap.

The character selection did not help the second Droid Factory series.  The Darth Maul was a Meh offering for collectors.  The Corran Horn should've been in the green flightsuit to appease the fanboys.  The Grievous was inferior to the basic carded Grievous.  Anakin?  Uck.

And some of the droids were underwhelming.  The pack-in with Grievous (CB-3D)?  Not good.  The Cortosis Super Battle Droid?  A great way to kill a good figure.

If Hasbro just worked a little harder to get these sets to be a bit better, I think people would've have bought these.  Even at the higher price.

No real interest here.  We're 3 or 4 years removed from the release of the Republic Commando game.  A cool game, yes.  But one of the coolest Star Wars games we've ever seen?  I'm not sold on that.  From a gamer standpoint, I still see more interest from people about KOTOR, The Force Unleashed and more recently Star Wars - The Old Republic.

Perhaps if the Commandos showed up in the Clone Wars animated series I could get more excited about them.  But I'm generally kind of cloned out.

That would be George's call, actually.  Filoni has expressed some frustration about GL getting involved and changing what we thought was established continuity.  But in the end he says that it's all George's deal and if he wants to do something, he's going to find a way to do it.

Beyond that, we'll hold onto that as the packs may not get out.  As for the Empire Darklighter pack with Camie and Fixer, it will be coming as a convention exclusive set next year.  The Heir to the Empire pack with Noghri and Ralrra does not currently have a home; right now it might become a Convention exclusive in 2011.

So there are some rumblings around another(R) place that the big AT-AT might be shelved.  At least until the economy gets better.

And based on the shelfwarming of some of the current large vehicles that are out now, I can understand why this might be happening.  I still see the Falcon and AT-TE at TRU stores with alarming regularity.  And the Turbo Tank hasn't exactly been flying out of stores.  And on top of that I've scarcely ever seen one at a WalMart store.  It seems very clear that the retailers are playing things very close to the vest.  And at this point I can't see them taking another chance on a large vehicle like a Big AT-AT.

Scored the variant Ugnaught this morning.  Saw pretty much a whole case of the ROTJ wave.  The distressing thing though is that Target only seems to be restocking TLC RED one case at a time.  That really bites when almost every figure is now packed 1 per case.

The Geonosis Assault battle pack is reshipping with the new Battle Packs.  I saw it in the red packaging along with the Battle for Endor and Gelagrub Patrol packs.  I think the CW Rishi Moon Outpost pack may be shipping with these, too.

It seems like the Dewbacks and AT-ST's are shipping at the same time.  The AT-ST is insanely cool, and I don't think I'd wait on this one.

I didn't see any sign of the comic packs.  But based on the auction that popped up with the IG-97 droid, I think it's more likely that those will show up in 2 - 3 weeks.
