Managed to get two pix that show the face details better.

I think you should try making a removable blindfold for him with a little piece cloth. Kota seems to wear that more often than not.
I probably will, at some point.

For some reason, the detail on these pix isn't as strong as usual. Might be the background, as it's the first time I tried using the insert from TFU 3-packs. Guess I'll have to go back to neutral tones.  :P

Star Wars Action Figures / Blind Rahm Kota
« on: December 3, 2008, 05:19 AM »
I really liked the storyline behind Rahm Kota's reintroduction into The Force Unleashed after his duel with Starkiller, and decided to customize a figure based on it. It's mostly a repaint of the regular Kota figure, with a bit of new sculpting on the head and some battle-damage to his chest and shoulder armor pieces.

This is an easy pass for me. If they'd done something unique, like a new trooper deco, I might've considered it. If there's a villains set, though, I might go for that ... unless it's just a couple of Battle Droids and a Super BD. Got those guys already!

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Tattoos -- Love 'Em or Hate 'Em?
« on: October 3, 2008, 03:09 AM »
I like tattoos, but can't get them because of a skin condition. Kinda wish I'd got one in my 20's now, because the skin condition didn't develop until my 30's. A very good friend of mine is a tattooist in Utah. He was a professionally trained artist first, and people always said his art would make awesome tattoos. So, already in his 40's, he goes out and apprentices! Now, he's inking full-time, and really making a name for himself in Utah. Goes by the name of Johnny C'thulhu, if any Utah members want to look him up.

I think for the big box stores its 12.99, right?

Target is $12.99
WM and TRU are $11.99
Not sure about KB but I would guess they are $17.99  ;D
Actually, I've seen them for $12.88 at WM. Paid $12.99 last night at Target for Cade/Talon and the Knights.

Newbies / Hey, how's it going?
« on: October 1, 2008, 07:10 AM »
I don't know, I registered here back in July 2004, and could swear I had a few posts ... but, I guess not! Anyway, you've probably seen me around at other forums. I've been knocking around the various boards since 2000, at least. I've written for various genre magazines, including Cinefantastique, Imagi-Movies, Femme Fatales, The Phantom of the Movies' VideoScope, Draculina, SPFX, and Horror Biz, to name a few. Also was a regular contributor to fandom.com (RIP) and cinescape.com (also RIP). Currently contributing to swCollector, running their Hasbro Q&A.

I first saw Star Wars on opening day in 1977. Been a fan since reading the novelization in December 1976. Been collecting Kenner/Hasbro figures since the original Early Bird Special. Not really in to the higher end stuff, just concentrating on those crazy little plastic army men from outer space. :)

I also customize figures, but I find less time to do it, unfortunately, these days. Well, see you around the boards.
