I Am Sith wants in next season but doesn't have the time or computer access right now.

Thanks again for the invite guys.  I'm going to be moving in the next few months and won't have my computer at home for a good chunk of the season.  I'm definitely in next season though as long as you have room.

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: "Battle of Geonosis" Battle Pack

Just a heads up to everyone, I was at Target today and all of the general Battle Packs were on Clearance already.  The DCPI is 087-06-1707 and the price was $13.98.  Good luck if you are still looking to get your re-released figures at a discount!

I did come across these when I was out last week.  I don't view the changes as anything that I need to update my collection over, so I'm sticking with the wool ones for now.  At least one company won't be getting houndreds of my dollars this year...

My local Target only had one case of Wave 1 figures so I got everything I needed/wanted from Wave 1.  They didn't have any Tantive IV BP's or Coin Albums though...

Are there any other Battle Pack's on the horizon that we know about - save for the Bantha and the Arena set??

The only other one I know of that was 'confirmed' was the Treachery on Saleucami WM Exclusive and the rumored Jundland Wastes Encounter one.  Can we consider the TRU Exclusive Rancor one a rumored BP at this point?

This is what I found most interesting about the article:

'Although the game features multiple endings, this novel will be one of the only places where fans will be able to find the official "canon" ending -- the definitive conclusion that will mold the events of the Star Wars galaxy for the future.'

I know that I've read on the boards multiple times that some fans only consider the 6 movies to be 'canon' and that everything else (books, video games, comics, etc) is EU.  I personally find it nice that the Official Site discusses a novelization of a video game as something that should be deemed 'canon'.  I don't think the debate will ever go away, but I think this gives some fans a little more ammo when discussing topics outside of the movies.

Just wait until the end of October, after the Yankees win the World Series all of the other teams hats will be 1/2 off on clearance.

Ah, Spring Training isn't even in full 'swing' and the trash talking is already starting...  I'm going to have to remember this post 7 months from now, but then again, I'm sure if they do end up winning, you'll remind us all about the prediction  ;D

I say good luck to all the teams and their fans.  Can't wait for the start of the season!

Sorry Matt, I've been away for a few days.

I have to say that this is the first I've heard of this and I am curious about how the general public will react.  I have an extensive White Sox hat collection and I'm not looking forward to having to replace these with new ones...

However, this is about the players, isn't it?!  Because when you're making millions of dollars a year, you're worried about how your hat absorbs sweat and the odor it gives off.  That is, unless you're sweaty Freddy Garcia.

I would love to see them both reunite, SG and RatM.  I never got to see RatM in concert when they were together but saw SG a ton of times.  There are very few songs that I really like from Audioslave, but on the whole they are a welcome retreat from some of the more popular bands these days.

Hands down the best albums to pump iron to.

I second that!

But I have to wonder after reading the latest issue of Dark Horse's Dark Times if they'll do a repainted version in a grey/Imperial color scheme.

Let's hope that they decide to go that route and not the rainbow route that they did with the Jedi Starfighters.

Snow expected in the 4-12 inch range with 20-25 mph winds right now in Chicago.  Oh how I love the Midwest in winter...

That price makes it much more reasonable to get all 6 of these, but I have to admit that I was getting them regardless of price.  Now I'll be able to afford a few more $6.99 basic figures  ::)

I've let my 2 and 3 year old watch TPM and ANH numerous times and they really like them both.  They were a little scared at times during AOTC, so I've only played that one once.  They have no idea about timelines at this age, so I'm ok with not showing them in order at this point in time.  They are mostly interested in the action and who has/doesn't have a lightsaber.  They love the pod race and the lightsaber fighting in TPM. I think that your 4 year old will enjoy the movie, so my recommendation is to start there.

I personally won't be letting them watch ROTS until they are at least 7-8 and even then, I'll probably still skip the scenes where Palpy and Anakin are both getting burned to a crisp.  Not sure about the Jedi purge scenes either right now...

I was surprised at how bad the Bears D ended up being. I really thought they'd keep the Colts in better check, maybe even sack a few times. I'm thinking the Bears might need a new QB.

I think that the telling factor of why the Bears D performed as bad as they did was when they showed the total Indy plays at 64 and the total Bears plays at 24...  When your defense is on the field for that long, you can't expect them to do very well, especially late.  I agree though, I thought that they were going to have a much easier time stopping the run than they did.  I'm looking forward to next year when they get Tommy Harris and Mike Brown back.  They also need to make sure that they keep Briggs next to Urlacher for a long time...

As far as Rex is concerned, I take him for what he 'technically' was this season, a rookie quarterback with a lot more to learn.  This was his first full season at the helm and he was able to help get them to the Superbowl.  If he can work on his weaknesses in the off-season and work with Ron Turner to develop a more diverse offensive attack, I think that they will be in good shape again next year.

Congrats to the Colts, and Tony Dungee.  It's been a long time coming.
