All my thoughts and prayers are with you, Shannon.  No fears.  May the force be with you.   :)

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Question about Anakin's injuries?
« on: June 13, 2005, 08:52 PM »
The thing that bothers me is where the cuts (referring to Vader's) are placed: right at the point where the final reel starts.

Yes!   I was going to say this too.  Good call.  It's horrible placement.  And I'd like to see more screen caps; I've seen the film three times and I still don't have a clear idea of what happened.

Yeah, it's very difficult to see and I have no clue still how he gets the arm in the same move.  It's not staged properly, either.  At least in the sense that Obi Wan's easiest move here would simply be to cut Anakin in half.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Can Sith Beat Titanic?
« on: June 12, 2005, 07:03 PM »
I think Sith will without a doubt break the top ten, and will probably even do it next weekend or just after.  How far it goes after that depends on where it bottoms out.  If it makes $15 million next weekend, or roundabouts, then $400 million is a sure thing.  If it makes ten or less, I don't know.

That's great, Mike.  It's great to see a fellow writer here (though you're much farther along than me).   :)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: KB 9-pack Exclusive w/ Silver Vader

Things that make you want to go "Hmm..."   ::)  I don't think the line is selling so poorly they already have to dangle pegwarmers at Kb with the prospect of the Red Guard and yet another silver Vader, but who knows.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Recent Purchases
« on: June 7, 2005, 08:37 PM »
Found my second tan Wookie #43 at Target today.  They seem to put out lots of this wave, but finding #41 Clones is a crap shoot.  Neimodians, though...  ::)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Any ROTS figures you will pass on?
« on: June 7, 2005, 03:44 PM »
I've actually passed on quite a bit, mostly due to limited fundage.  It's probably better to say what I have bought:

Figures:
Dooku
Padme
Royal Guards Red and Blue
AT TE Tank Gunner
Plo Koon
Luminara
Kit Fisto
Agen Kolar
Vader's Medical Droid
Obi Wan #1
Grievous #9
Anakin #28
Obi Wan Jedi Kick
Palpatine #35
Mace
Bodyguard
Wookie Warrior #43 Both flavors
#41 Trooper
Clone Pilot
Clone Commande
Holo Yoda
Deluxe Vader w/ Table

I'm kind of hoping for the end of summer clearances to clean up, but the way this stuff has been selling...

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: ROTS 's PG-13 rating justified ?

I agree.  The dismembering wasn't any more gruesome than it has been before in SW.  It was the immolation scene.

Happy birthday Guys!!

Target raised their prices to $5.99 here in Iowa too.   :(  Way to put the brakes on there, guys.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: What figures are hard to find now?
« on: June 2, 2005, 03:28 PM »
Yeah, it's pretty much the same here:

Vader
Grievous #9
Clone #6
Red/Blue Guards
Dooku
C-3PO
Anakin #2
Battle Droid
Both Yodas seem to have dried up too

And to a lesser degree:

Tarfful
Padme

Capt. Antillies - "With POTF2 articulation!!"  ::)  It's okay, I guess, since he won't be leading any armies.  My least favorite.

Zett - Pretty decent.  Always dig the Jedi.

Utapau Warrior - If only these guys were in the film!  I love him, the design is crazy.

Turbo Tank Driver - Also not in the film (I think) but he looks great and plenty of articulation for me.

Mustafar Sentry - I like him just because he's so weird.

Obi Wan - Finally.  FINALLY.  I can only guess what's under the robes (that sounded weird) but this by far the best PT Obi they've ever done.  Getting two for sure.

2909

1. SA Commander Cody w/ the works.
2. SA Obi Wan Jedi Council w/ chair
3. SA Emperor Senate Duel w/ senate pod
4. Padme Funeral w/ carriage
5. SA Mygeeto Snowtrooper
6. SA Mace Windu w/ removable arm
7. SA Clone - 501st, Utapau, Coruscant, Kashyyk flavors
8. SA Commander Gree
9. SA Commander Neyo
10. Baby Luke and Leia any way we can get them

Revenge of the Sith / Re: "Evolutions" assortment...

I don't know if Chewie would work, but I'm game for anything.  And I'd be happy with any incarnation of Padme at this point, so long as it's not something we already have.
