So at Wal-Mart today I came across the endless supply of Vader carrying cases with the Clone and Anakin. But all of the Clones were the SA version from Clone Wars and the EE Exclusive set. It wasn't in just one, it was in ALL of the cases. All of the pics and reports about them show the #6 Clone. Is this a variation? Has anyone else seen these?

No variation. They have always been this version. Cant wait for these to go on clearance. Sure beats paying ebay prices for this version.

The ones I've seen have the E2 clone, and that was all I've heard of up to this point.

I looked at these this AM. About 20 cases still gathering dust and they are defintely the E2 Clones. If this is a variation I have not seen the correct E3 ones.

Yep, a friend of mine bought one for his kid and this post made me ask him. It is not a #6 clone but a ATOC clone, he wasn't sure about the articulation though.

I definatley am sure mine are #6's. The Helmet and big Sholder Armor give it away, you know?

So then I wonder if the Anakin figures are different as well. Maybe some have AOTC cut off my arm anakin and some the ROTS two sabers anakin.

All I've seen include the SA EP2 clone. I didn't even think about it when I saw them. I'm waiting for clearance on these. :)

Technically, they are the CW SA clones with holes in the feet. If there is anything else in the case, it's been swapped out by a thief. I've seen the clone replaced with non-Star Wars figures.

Yep, that's what I was thinking.
Bums are buying the case, swapping out the SA clone for a #6 clone and then returning the case to WM. Hell, they're probably selling the loose SA clone on ebay.
If I lacked a conscience and a work ethic, I'd do the same!

Then quite possibly, there is a collector in your area who bought up a bunch of Clone #6, bought a bunch of these carrying cases, took everything home - swapped out the clone packed with the case, reglued, stapled or taped the single figure bubble shut and then returned them.
There is a jerk who does this in my area who has put a wide variety of figures into the left figure slot - everything from battle droids, to the EU cloud car pilot that came with the EU single pod cloud car.
It's not a variation you see, it's product tampering.
EDIT: Sorry - I should have read to the end before responding to Famine, Ruiner already hit the nail on the head here. Someone altered the items at your WalMart.
