Title: The Black Series 3.75" - 2013 Wave 1
Post by: Jeff on February 9, 2013, 05:28 PM
Let's see, it looks like Wave 1 will be:
- AotC Anakin
- AotC Arena Padme
- AotC Clone Sergeant
- Bespin Dinner Vader
- Biker Scout (looks like the one from the Bike?)
- Yavin Ceremony Luke
- X-Wing Pilot Biggs
- Clone Pilot

Other than Biggs, Luke, Padme, and to a lesser degree the Clone Sgt. and Ani, this wave's not something I'll buy a ton of I think.  Definitely no duplicates, which is nice.  Get my few I want and I'm out.

I'm most excited for Luke, Padme, and the Clone Sgt, though I'll probably buy the Biggs and Vader as well. I'll pass on Anakin and the Scout unless I'm really impressed in-person. I'd love to get the clone pilot, but I will only pick it up if the visor paint is cleaned up on the final release.

Our pictures are starting to trickle into our image gallery.  Here's a look at the Hasbro press images for this wave:

I'm definitely more excited with the new revamped 3.75" line. The first wave, although not great, is definitely better than the boring first wave for BAD, which really saddened me.

I love love love the new packaging. ;D

The figures still look well done, as before, but just nothing that is too exciting I guess.  I'll pick up some of these, but honestly, the lack of build a droid parts makes it easier for me to pass on some as well.  None of them look bad, mind you, but I have previous versions that I'm happy enough with already.  I'm in for probably all the OT ones, and a couple others like Anakin and Padme.

I'm probably going to pick up everything, including multiple Clones and Bikers. My original SA/Entertainment Earth AOTC Clones are yellowing, as are my VOTC Bikers from 2006, so I'm more than happy to replace them with the new versions. :-\

I feel the way I did last summer when we saw this stuff at Comic Con...

They look fine, but...there's noting "new" there.  Right now, I'll decide on these when I see them in the stores.

I like the "new" Padme.  Anakin will work as an extra Jedi I suppose?  Maybe custom fodder.  I actually like Yavin Luke.  I didn't like the 30th anniversary version that much.  Not that this one is tons better but it's decent.  Biggs is okay.  I'm not interested in another Biker Scout.  Vader is okay.

It's just nothing there that is "Wow!!!   Look at that!!!"
Title: Re: The Black Series 3.75" - 2013 Wave 1

I'm about the same but this wave was to be BAD, and you had the parts to look forward to...  I'm amazed more people aren't actually pissed about that since, well, the droids were the value-adder and the "fun" of a line like that.  Without them, this wave is a lot less impressive...  yeah you might get the droids at some point, most likely, but without them included as pack-ins to me that's the crummy news right now.

Folks are mad about those Yoda card figures...  I get it I guess, but to me nothing in those was very great.  Build-A-Droid's cancellation was a much more depressing thing, to me.  $10 figures were soemwhat more worth it and that's out the window.  Oh well.
Title: Re: The Black Series 3.75" - 2013 Wave 1
Post by: Brian on March 4, 2013, 09:09 PM
Yeah, I'm a little disappointed about the lack of build a droids as well.  I went from planning on buying the entire waves to get the droids, to buying maybe half of that.  The figures are nice looking and all, but so many of them we have a number of nice versions of already so I don't feel as compelled to pick them up at $10 a pop.

It is really tough to predict anything at this point, but I really wonder about the future of the "vintage style" figures right now.  From all indications (at least from Hasbro) it was the "worst selling line ever", and honestly, the lineup coming up doesn't look to change that too much.  We've had such a focus on prequel stuff for a long time now, with those movies being more recent/the bigger push, and I think a lot of us are getting burned out on that a bit.  A part of me thinks Hasbro is really hoping that the 6" scale Black Series and the 5 POA 3 3/4" line take off, and they can stick to that, but maybe that's just in my head.  Adam at GH mentioned something along those lines in his Q and A today, and I could see that too.

More self sabotage...packing a clone one per case and Biggs 2 per case.

Post by: Pete_Fett on March 29, 2013, 01:56 PM
I think the Anakin, Padme, Luke and Biggs should have ALL been only 1-per case and the other four figures 2-per case.

Damn Hasbro, why not just throw in EP1 Qui-Gon in this case while you're at it?
Title: Re: The Black Series 3.75" - 2013 Wave 1
Post by: Jayson on March 29, 2013, 02:07 PM
Biggs as 2 per is idiotic. "A-level Heroes/Villains" should be 2, "Army builders" should be 2, mustachioed Death Star trench grease spots should be 1x.

Perheps Biggs is two per case because of this Biggs X-Wing (http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=22896.0) coming out about the same time?

True, but I'd hypothesize that individual figures are produced in greater numbers than individual vehicles. So, if there are a ton of Biggs out there, there won't be enough vehicles for them. If Hasbro was concerned (in the least) about having a modern Biggs to go with the vehicle, they could have done him as a pack-in to facilitate a sale.

I am having a difficult time understanding these case assortments. Why in the world would Hasbro double up on Biggs? If Wedge showed up anything, it's that pilots aren't nearly popular enough to warrant 2x per case or reshipping in multiple cases. Double up on the Clone Sgt. or Luke instead.

It gets worse. Biggs is also carried forward into wave 2.

I think that something got messed up when telling the factory which figures should go in the cases and Luke and Biggs got switched.

No, what's worse is that it looks like they're repeating the winning (and by winning I mean self sabotaging) formula of having the succeeding wave filling half of it's slots with re-issues of the previous wave.

I understand (but don't like) why Anakin and Vader are doubled up, but Biggs was a baffling choice. If the Clone Sgt. or Pilot were doubled up instead, I would be ordering a case. As-is I can't justify pulling the trigger.

I grabbed a case from EE.

I don't mind the Vader since he's got the alternate hands and god knows I have plenty of Bespin Hans to display the Vaders with. :P

But yeah, Biggs is the odd one for sure.  I get that his ship is coming soon, but it seems like too much.  It's like someone saw how much demand there was for Wedge (and that demand was all artificial from the way he was shipped) and tried to make sure it didn't happen for Biggs or something?
Title: Re: The Black Series 3.75" - 2013 Wave 1
Post by: Jesse James on May 30, 2013, 11:51 PM
He's one of the more needed in the wave?  Just guessing...  Would a Clone Sgt. or Pilot do better at this point ya know?  I dunno.  To me, him, Padme, and that Luke are the more premiere figures in the wave in terms of newness...  vader's always Vader for demand too, so him, but he's a little less appealing to the older crowd I think.

The rest I dunno.  I'd think Luke would've made more sense to double-up than even the Clones.

I'm pretty sure the extra Biggs (and the carry forward into wave 2) is a mistake and it was supposed to be Luke. And if it wasn't a mistake whosoever idea it was to double up Biggs and carry him forward while having Luke be one to a case and not carry forward needs to be fired because they are either incompetent or trying to sabotage the line.

Hasbro's been self-sabotaging for sometime now....the glut of Phantom Menace product shows that. Did Lucasfilm insist they push it that much, despite, oh, the glut from the original 1999 release that  eventually stalled the SW line back when  more people were buying SW than today.

Going further back and comic packs with subpar molds (for a mostly collector aimed series) and re-reshipping the Marvel comic packs.

Oh, and 3 Geonosian speeder to 1 rebel yavin transport cases.

Probably a lot more. Their refusal to mass release army builder friendly battle packs for the longest time or reissue ones that were wanted.

I'm gonna risk that these are plentiful in stores. The case ratios just suck too much to justify buying a case online.

If it turns out that I regret that decision, then maybe it will be time to call it quits...

The ones from this wave that have the best chance of being hard to come by are the two that won't also be released in wave 2, Padme and Luke. And of course, those are the two I'm (and it seems like a lot of other people are too) most interested in.>:(

I thought they looked kinda "classy" in how they put the focus on the figure...  but they're plain.  And ultimately, and this includes 6" figures too, these aren't "high-end collectibles" no matter how you try to make the packaging LOOK like it is.  These are mass-run toys...

I just don't get why they changed from TVC when there's such a tiny window between now and inevitably new looks...  Keep going with TVC, cut the # of figures down per year, and call it a day.  Spicing things up with a new look seems pointless...

I have a very good "feeling" this isn't intended to last more than a year anyway.
Title: Re: The Black Series 3.75" - 2013 Wave 1
Post by: Jeff on June 3, 2013, 11:21 PM
Yeah, these have to be the worst cards of all time.  Tons of wasted space and blah when compared to the vintage.

I get they are trying to tie into the 6" stuff, but I agree with JJ.  The vintage card back says "COLLECT ME" way more than this cardback does.  Way better way to sell toys to collectors than this "elegant" nonsense.  Would have been really nice if they had just gone back to that well to bridge the gap between now and Ep7.

Probably true. Collectors forget that the retailers have an influence over packaging. There's a reason for the constant packaging changes.  Vintage was the longest running packaging since Saga 1.

I liked the front...  the back is laughable.

Front I'm ok.  I know there's the massive hard-on for The Vintage Collection cards, but they probably aren't completely dead and refreshing the line's a positive thing sometimes I think.  I was happy when it was going back to Droid Factory just because I wanted the thought I was getting some kind of extra umph when I shelled out the $.

But this...  yeah...  It's very haphazard looking and the back is like someone played with some photoshop settings and just called it a day.

I got my case from EE last night.  Didn't get a chance to open them (we're moving next week, easier to just keep them carded for now), but I really liked the look of Anakin and Padme in person.  Biggs and Luke ended up looking pretty good too.

Smaller cardback sort of surprised me though.  I thought Hasbro said the collector-aimed cardbacks would always be in the 6x9" range, but they're pretty narrow.  Skimping and saving where they can I guess. :P

For the pics  shown there is more improvement in Luke
from Yavin vs its tlc version, with a more detailed jacket

to match the original tsc vintage biker scout.

There are a mix of new repacked/kitbashed figures in wave 1.

Clones are repaints, Biker Scout is a repack of the Speeder Bike figures, Padme's new, Anakin is a kit bash of old figures with new sculpted parts. Biggs is a kit bash with new head I think. Luke is a kit bash with new parts

Awesome, thanks again.  With the scarcity of brand new figures (characters that have never been made), and Hasbro's insistance on releasing core characters so frequently, it's getting hard to keep up with what's new and what's not.

Saw them at our local TRU today as well, not sure if they were just put out today or not, but the entire case was still on the pegs I think.  Surprising how much smaller the cardbacks are (on the Mission Series as well), but I don't mind.  No sign of the 6" line, or the Legends, but they had the Mission Series packs there too.  Big difference in articulation and all of that of course, but it is strange seeing two packs right next to the Black Series figures for the same price.  Might make a difference with parents/grandparents/etc. come holiday time.

I admit I am getting a little annoyed these have not shown up here yet, even though I have zero interest in them. As of yesterday , NONE of the Targets around here had reset. I guess they want to wait for a time when foot traffic in the store will be minimal. I do want to see those 6" figs up close.

I guess I just hate living in one of those places where finding new toys sucks. I would love to live in one of those places where people find stuff like 1-2 weeks early.

I feel ya, Toy R Us is so worthless that I only check it because Marshalls and Five Below are in the same shopping center. Even those Dollar Tree deals that some people got (Trek, Green Lantern) never arrived here.

I'd love to live in those countries that have fully stocked stores teeming with hard to find Vintage releases.

But then, I probably wouldn't speak the language, which means no job, etc...

They hit my local TRU today - unfortunately I couldn't be there at opening so I missed the Luke and Padme figures - left the rest.

I have a feeling this line is going to just SIT. The only reason why someone grabbed the Padme and Luke figures is because it is known that they have secondary market value. If they weren't getting any secondary market interest, those two figures would have still been there as well.

If you have all the parts and it just naturally fell apart and you didn't take it off the card yourself, isn't it technically MOC still? :)  Nobody opened it...  It just kinda opened itself.

I saw most of these yesterday, and for the first time since 1995, I just kind of shrugged at new figs on new cards.  It was seriously a downer.  I want Padme, and maybe Luke, but I just can not buy more of the same.  It breaks my heart to be so blah about the whole thing, but Hasbro, you finally lost me.

I have been looking for the 6 inch figures though.  No luck.

You know I felt the same way. I actually didn't even look at most of the figures. I grabbed Padme and the Pilot out of some sense I needed them - Padme happy about, the Clone I guess I don't know why I bought him - but I think this is really more to do with the selection. If those rumors about Toryn Farr and the Snowtrooper Commander come to pass, I'll be doing cartwheels. But this is very very blah right now.

Found leftovers at a Hastings today.  Luckily, one of the leftovers was a Biker Scout, which the only one I really wanted from this wave.  I know it's just like the one that came with the TRU Speeder Bike, but still, one can never have too many Biker Scouts, right?

I heard that the Scout has some black marks on his belt, which the TRU version didn't have.  I'm also curious if the shoulder joints are molded in white this time or still black.  If they're white, I might buy them just for that reason alone.  I felt the black was an eyesore.

Far as I've heard, they have the black pin everyone hates.  Matching pins to the color they should be seems to be something Hasbro has cut corners on in the manufacturing process...  I don't know if it's them doing it to save $ or the factory doing it and Hasbro not able to make them adjust.  It's happening way too much these days though.

Got a chance to open the figures I picked up from this wave today, well done.  It is a strange wave, because it seems like all of the figures are very well done (I was particularly surprised by the Anakin), but it just isn't all that exciting for some reason.  I don't know if it is because of so many re-dos, or if it is due to the wait, or what.  Plus, I'm a person who usually likes seeing resculpts of the main characters - so it isn't that.  I didn't get the entire wave, but what I did get (Luke, Biggs, Scout, Anakin, Padme, and Vader) were all great - just didn't generate a lot of excitement.  I have to say though, of what we've seen of the first three waves of this line, I think Vizam is the most exciting figure to me.

As a side note, our Target reset this week as well, and filled the pegs with a fresh case of TPM revisions.  There was a Vader and Hoth Luke included in there, but otherwise more TPM stuff staring back.  The pegs are even labeled "SW Vintage" still.

Found most of Wave 1 at a Wal-Mart this morning, literally hidden behind a cardboard WWE aisle display. Luke and Padme were there so I snagged them, and will probably put an order in for Wave 2 online sometime soon. Cardbacks were glued on pretty well on all of the figures, looking like most of our usual standards.

Only other figures I saw were Vader, the Scout and the Clone Pilot.

I've still yet to see this wave, save for remnants at a lone TRU...  I've never seen a sniff of Luke/Padme in the wild even though a local buddy got them for me.  I honestly have seen jack of this stuff, anywhere really, but that one TRU sighting.  I bought the Clone Sergeant and still haven't opened him because I just don't care about those repaints enough I guess.

So far this is the worst distributed series...  Between Target's complete ball drop on the matter, and all the other retailers having space but no product, it's weird.

I've seen 6" a lot now...  The same 4 at my K-Mart haven't moved since Day 1.  I've seen tons of MS and Legends too...  Some sold at first, but for the most part aren't moving at this moment but it's just back to school time too...

But still, no TBS 3.75" around at all...  It's disappointing as I'd probably buy a few Biggs for average height X-Wing Pilot customs.  That's been a rare body ultimately for that, but I've yet to see him at all.  Go figure.

Yeah my sighting today was my first as well. All Targets have either bare shelves or old Vintage figures at full price. Wal-Marts don't even have shelf space for Black Series, and some I've seen don't even have Star Wars in the planogram... and TRU is, well, TRU. They're good with their two restocks per year.

Haven't even seen any sign of 6 inch figs either.

Saw remnants of Wave 1 at HEB (Texas grocery chain) today, and since they still had the Vintage SKU, they were priced at $7.98 (these stores never went along with the price increases). Almost snagged the lone Biker Scout and Clone Pilot, but ended up passing in the end.

I've not seen a sniff of these outside remnants at TRU and remnants at K-Mart...  once each.

*shrugs*

In my estimation, TBS 3.75" is nowhere to be found...  It's not even being distributed at most Target stores, TRU's the only one to get much in, WM is hit and miss (at best) nationally much less localized (nothing here, yet), and K-mart's getting a case or two in, that's it...  some, not at all yet.

TBS 6" seems like it's doing ok, though Maul, Luke, and R2 are findable...  I see them anyway in my little localized area.  Sandtroopers sell steadily.  I think hype's part of this, personally.  But the line seems to be doing ok out of the gate.

Legends and Mission Series, I see everywhere...  Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, and Toys R Us all have these in abundance...  If I were to point to pegwarmers, it'd be these, out of the gate.  Only Yoda seems difficult to find if you can give that label to any figure.  I thought Vader/Droid might be a tough nut to crack, but no...  He's everywhere in abundance.  These are the only heavily distributed action figures from Hasbro so far this year, and it seems to be national not local, so I think that can get some finger pointing...

TBS, either size, I agree for now...  Way too early.  I've barely seen anything of 3.75" and 6" I think really hasn't seen full distro yet either...  better than that 3.75" line though... yikes.  It's a shoddy assortment though, and shoddy carry-overs as well IMO.  I think Hasbro's going with what was produced though, not what maybe was the best choices...  I think a lot of Wave 1 was already in the wings for AOTC3D and just got put on new cards, more or less.

Its much the same here, although I haven't stepped foot in a Wal-Mart for awhile now so I can't say what's there necessarily.  Target put out a fresh case of TPM vintage figures, and has tons of both the Legends and Mission Series packs.  I've seen the 6" figures sell through twice, and there is currently a set of four on the shelf at our local store.  TRU is where I found the 3 3/4" Black Series (the only place I've seen them yet), but I haven't been back there since then either.  It really sounds like those are a tough find everywhere right now.  That, combined with an already questionable lineup, makes me wonder what the future is for this line.  I mean, I'm sure it will be done with as the movie moves closer, but I wonder if it will even last that long.  Cue the conspiracy theories that Hasbro is killing 3 3/4" collector figures to make room for a Legends/6" Black Series combo ;).

Saga Legends, Mission Series and the 12" soap bottles, mini vehicles have been out (technically) just as long, so are peg warmer articles "too soon" for those assortments too? The article is obviously anecdotal and written from a first hand POV. Sure it has a "told you so" slant, but the observation and opinion regarding the trend is sound and not without merit nor beyond commentary.

Pretty much.

Opinion pieces might drive page views for a site, but they can also erode the overall credibility of a SW collecting site. It begs the question: do local store reports really stand on their own as national collecting news?  And very often pieces like this will snowball until you wind up with W.B.B. style opinion pieces dominating the real news.

I think it's early on TBS 3.75" and 6"...  Mission Series/Legends, I think they're near fair game at this point because it seems EVERYONE has those...

I've seen all those and the soap bottle guys and new $20 vehicles a lot longer than any TBS item though, at all.  That's maybe just here though...  Right now TBS is nowhere here really...  6" is it and it's sold ok enough it seems...  I have no doubt Wave 1 3.75" isn't a home run though.  Poor choices, too many repaints/repacks, not really any "new" there at all.  Bad wave...  Don't think anyone's going to argue that point.

So,

sites that strictly tow the line, dump the latest press releases and post ads/eBay links = credible
sites that do the above plus openly question brand decisions, product quality and actively solicit a dialogue with collectors (through comments and forums) < credible

If there is one thing that YF has never, ever, ever cared about (in my tenure) it's "driving pages views". Maybe it shows, I don't know. Others are voracious about it. I, on the other hand, couldn't give 2 *****.

Anyway, back to TBS. In my area, sell through has been pretty good (kickstarted by the "catch and release" program we have in MN for TPM/TVC pegwarmers). Vader, Anakin and Biggs seem to linger but for only a few days if they haven't fallen off the card (http://yakfaceforums.com/main/2013/08/19/shaken-not-stirred-the-black-series-bubble-issue/)* by then.

For the 6", R2 and Luke are perpetual buddies on the shelves. Sandys and Maul (to a lesser degree) are snapped up.

*warning: driving page view(s)  ;)

It's not about "Towing The Line" with Hasbro regarding news.  Are press releases important?  Absolutely.  And so is analysis of those releases and events.  The analysis of those press releases is what sets sites apart from one another when Hasbro does an image dump.

Personally, I think that posting eBay auctions as front page content is bull****.  I always have.  But some sites like Rebelscum regard that as a revenue stream, and I understand their motivation for doing so.  I don't like it, but I see what drives it.  And it's not much different from Adam Pawlus's Figure of the Day feature (and other copycat features).  Although in his case he's actually doing work, writing about and photographing the figures in question.  Features like that are designed with the express purpose of generating content for a main page, especially during a drought in news.  But I know that you know that, too.

As for stories that are hot right now?  The TBS cardback issue is a significant story.  That's a defect that's being seen across the board.  When the blisters of brand new figures are falling off the cardbacks in the store, it's worth reporting.  The spring issue with the Amazon exclusive Slave I is a story.  The revelation of Merumeru (which didn't come through Hasbro) is a story.  Why did Hasbro hold Merumeru back from SDCC/CE2 is a sideline story.  The reception that the 6" figure line is getting is a story.  And reactions to the 5 POA figures and scaled down vehicles are stories.

Regarding sales trends?  That's a story that takes a little more time to develop.  Especially with a line that's effectively been on hiatus for almost half a year.  But the current climate of short attention spans is focused on pegwarming.  All the while not taking account that it's on a line that's launched at the end of a slow summer, when people are vacationing.  It comes across as being short-sighted.

To the people who said Luke is just a repaint, not important, not worth buying...  You're nuts.

And I don't mean that to be a dick, but you really are nuts and must get this figure...

I opened my Luke and Padme tonight.

Padme, she's good...  She's very crisp, good detail, and beside the elbow pin being **** (absolutely, totally, BS), she is truly an awesome figure.  Great articulation, love the Droid blaster and wish I could buy packs of these alone, and I thought the deco was pretty spot on but that one pin...  But she isn't the wave winner like some are saying.

Luke is the wave's winner at this point.  Here's why.

-The sculpt is far more new than first thought.  The head of course is, but so is the upper and lower torso.  They're more crisp, and the shirt's FAR more detailed.  The coat is maybe based on the previous figure, but far more crisply detailed.  It came out of the molds just much better looking.

Likewise the holster is all new, and far more detailed than the previous figure.  Truly, this shocked me how much nicer it is.  Hasbro really needs to get its **** together on sculpting separate holsters with thigh-straps like this again.  Totally appreciate that kind of detail.  Plus it doesn't hinder the leg movement, at all.

Adding in that they gave a nice new left hand (probably both, but left one I'm sure is new) with separately sculpted index and middle fingers...  Minor?  Sure, but life-like improvements like that are what always set the bar, and this figure has them.

-New accessories...  The pistol and medal are both new, and far more detailed than their previous incarnations.  Totally worthy updates to both.  I love seeing the details on the medal.  This makes me very ahppy to get a 2nd of this figure in a later case.  I want another of that medal.

-The deco blows the 30AC figure away...  not just the skin tone though.  The weird badge thing on the coat, the striping accuracy on the caot and pants, the gloss on teh boots, the color and wash of the hair...  It's pretty damn perfect.

-Luke's expression alone...  totally worth it.  It's not so specific it's odd or out of place in other poses, but if you're like me this figure will largely be posed holding his hands behind his back and ready to get his medal...  Well, let me say, this face sculpt has that "satisfied" grin, but still with the look of seriousness, that Luke had in that scene...  It's classic, and really maybe the finest Luke likeness Hasbro ever has done.

Sure, there's no ankle articulation...  The legs appear to be pure re-release.  But they were accurate in the first place, and the ankle joints are the single joint I think can be cut across the board on all figures, and I don't believe it will impact any figure who has flat, neutral sculpted feet/ankles...  IE: Not like the Clone Recruit from the 30AC line with his pre-posed "walking" ankles.

Really though, I thought I'd just give my $.02 on this Luke figure...  I'd seen some folks passing on it, and I don't think they realize how improved it is.  Some of it takes some examination, but this one's far better than I thought as well.  May be my current favorite Luke in my collection now.

Been seeing these a lot at retail lately. Not moving as fast as the 6 inch though.

Here's why.

Hmmmm... I think you convinced me to pick up the Luke.  I had considered it a repaint and wasn't going to bother, but it sounds like it's a worthwhile purchase.  I was really torn on Padme since I wanted to upgrade her, but again, I wasn't sure it was necessary.  My collection is still boxed so I don't have the figures handy to see how badly upgrades are needed, but you sold me.

Well done.  8)

On Padme there is no good version of her with the scratches...  To me she was almost an unmade figure haha.  Luke the details are small Jess, but make huge differences.  The 30AC figs shirt was totally inaccurate actually.  It's really nice.

Seeing the Biker Scout from this wave as a $3.49 "add on" at Amazon makes me wonder why I was trying to army build these back in the VTSC days, still like that figure a lot.

Finished Wave 1 thanks to Amazon's prices... kinda. I've decided to skip troops and repeat characters and basically pick up the main characters individually until I see a case I'm 100% happy with. For Wave 1 I bought Luke and Padme back in August and just ordered a $3 Biggs and Anakin from Amazon. I'll get the Vader and the Clone Pilot in some other case, or just get them individually for cheap too.
