Half off $15 groupon. Gotta follow these directions as it is tough to find (well, it was for me). This works at all locations but when you do your search put in Shreveport for your location and then type in the search toys"r"us exactly like I wrote it. good luck:

Check your mailboxes: I've gotten coupons from TRU and Target that go into effect for most of November. Target is something like $5 off and TRU is I think 10% off of any purchase over $100. Nothing extraordinary, but why not?

35 Star Wars Items $5 or less (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/list.aspx?list=14580) at BBTS.

I put it here since it includes the Black Series Wave 1 commons (Bigss, Anakin, Vader, Scout).  Also has some older Vintage Collection, Clone Wars, and some other nice fodder figures for army builders or customizers...

K-Mart started a sale today which seems to run till 5/5 according to shelf tags.  Everything Star Wars was on sale, including Lego but it was barely anything ($.50 for the most part).

Black Series 6" and 4" were on for $17.49 and $7.99 respectively though.  Good dealio, especially since K-Mart's actually getting new toys in for both lines.

Mission Series were also $7.99, and Legends were $4.49.

I didn't see a print ad though, to see if the sale could be taken with you to other stores.

If you can handle dinged up packaging, check out the Not Mint Sale (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/hitlist.asp?id=JE-405087801&spotlight=3842) for some great deals on some Vintage Collection, Clone Wars, and Black Series figures!

BOGOHO SW figures @ TRU today. I literally could not find two things there worth buying though. (In-store only)

Hasbro has a 25% off + Free Shipping deal too, HOLIDAYFF14 is the promo code. I got sucked into buying some more 6" Clone Troopers since that wave was so scarce. All their Rebels stuff is sold out though. :(

Yakface is reporting a $2-$3 increase for TBS 4" figures...  Which really isn't a rumor because Imperial Holocron saw it at a local Target and posted it via Twitter.

Target's goofy like that of course so who knows...  I think $10-ish has become an obvious threshold for the line where stuff doesn't really sell too well, so I can't fathom the logic in a price hike.  The irony?  Wasn't it always oil prices that justified the price jumps?

So here's the price hike issue looming once more, and this one's seemingly quite a gouge rather than anything remotely close to incremental.

If figures came with some really cool collector-focused goofy **** that collectors always say they want but rarely pony up to pay for, I'd be ok (I think?) with that.  Tables, chairs, boxes, mini-environment stands...  that kinda junk.  Oh yeah, and GOOD paint apps and articulation, of course.  Somehow I think if the hikes are here to stick and are going to be across the board at all retailers, I doubt Hasbro beefs up quality to the old levels or packs in greatness like 2007 (or better than 2007, which I think is justified for $13).

I'd almost forgotten what it was to actually be annoyed about Star Wars toys, it's been that long since I gave a ****.
Title: Re: Re: Black Series Rumors
Post by: Rob on January 9, 2015, 12:15 AM
What's the actual price that was observed?

$3 more or $2 more?

Also, more than what?  Figures around here are $11.49 at Target but $9.99 at Toys R Us.

So if it's $2 more that Toys R Us then that's only a buck more than I pay on Amazon anyway.

If it's $3 more than Target then we are over $15 with tax, which is crazy.
Title: Re: Re: Black Series Rumors
Post by: Diddly on January 9, 2015, 12:28 AM
I think since the Black Series line started, I've paid full price for five figures total. I've either gotten everything during a TRU BOGO or during online clearances.

Then again, if Hasbro fixed their distribution problems, maybe they would sell more stuff and not need a price increase?
Title: Re: Re: Black Series Rumors
Post by: Jesse James on January 9, 2015, 01:19 AM
Not sure this is Hasbro's price increase, or any details.  Eric (Imperial Holocron.com) spotted them at Target for $12.99 and called it a $3 hike so I'm assuming $9.99 was his old price in his area (He's Northern NY)...  They're $9.99 here anywhere I've seen TBS 4" figures that I can recall, but admittedly I've not bought a figure in a store this year besides K-Mart ($9.99).

So if they are or were $9.99 it's $3...  If they're $10.99 they're $2 of course.  Depends on where you are, and what you're actually seeing, if anything I guess.  Feel free to post what you see here or to social media or whatever.

I think the last time I was in a Target it was to try and find C9 light bulbs for Xmas...  I look at it as about as pleasant to go into as a Wal-Mart at this point, and since it's a little further down the road and with less groceries, I don't go much if I can help it.  :-\

Amazon's been my bag, and most of it on sale prices if I can.  I picked up a pile of Dak figures for $5 or less in the last two days...  Can't beat it.  Black Series 4" stuff barely makes it to $10 in value, to me.  Actually come to think of it the Snowtrooper Commander and Dagobah Luke were the last two figures I think I paid full price for and didn't feel bad for doing so.
Title: Re: Re: Black Series Rumors
Post by: Rob on January 9, 2015, 09:39 AM
We should wait before we get all panicky about it.  There were Targets around here that went up to $12.49 a few years ago but it didn't stick, I think they're $10.99 at the moment, but have also been $11.49 at points.  They test prices and see how things move.  It doesn't necessarily indicate a change in MSRP or a price shift across the country just because someone spotted it like that in one store.

But who the hell knows...
Title: Re: Re: Black Series Rumors
Post by: P-Siddy on January 9, 2015, 09:48 AM
They test prices and see how things move.

I think this is the case.  When I lived in Minneapolis (Target's HQ), Target were in abundance and in competition with each other, so sometimes one store would have higher prices than another.  And it seems in January, they raise prices by a buck or so to see if the demand would still be there with the higher price.  I know I paid the extra since there were some good figures out at times, but eventually, they went down... sometimes to the original price, sometimes to maybe $.50 more.

I don't think there's a reason to panic yet about this.  As of now, I'm up to date on figures and the next release is supposed to be in the spring (right?).  I think it would be slow goings for SW at the moment.  Plus, it doesn't make sense on Targets part when they have been shipping partial cases until the holidays, so I would think that they don't have faith in the product to stock it fully.

$15 - 3.75" premium collector line

I'm not so sure it'll get pricier.

Title: Re: Re: Black Series Rumors
Post by: Nicklab on January 9, 2015, 10:33 AM
It looks like the $12.99 is the base price for Target, and select stores selling at the $14+ that Jayson cited.  I know that I've see some pricing disparities between Target stores in the past. Figures at one store would be $9.99, and at the other store they would be $10.99. I'm not sure what the criteria has been for that. Maybe Target sees the clientele in some areas as more affluent and able to pay more. Or perhaps they use these particular stores as a testing ground to see what customers are willing to pay for certain items.

I'm waiting to see how Walmart, TRU and Kmart respond with their own pricing. Personally, I haven't been shopping at Target much at all for new figures.

I stand corrected, at the moment.  Haven't seen those prices around here yet.

If this is what happens, it's going to drag sales down, which will give them the excuse to ditch the higher-quality figures.

My big question is, what's the plan for the full movie line.  Will those be nicer or 5-POA type things..

I can verify the $12.99 price is in the NY/NJ metropolitan area. I saw it at a local Target store, too.  Even more galling is that the only TBS 3.75" figure in stock was a lone R5-G19, and that figure is based on a 6 or 7 year old mold from the B-A-F R5 droids.

One positive?  For now, at least, TRU is keeping their TBS 3.75" basic figures priced at $9.99 each.  I saw prices on those today, too.  And notably at the TRU store that's about 5 minutes from Toys R Us corporate HQ.  That store gets special attention from corporate due to it's proximity to all of the executive offices.  But if the rumors are true that the wholesale price has gone up by $2 per figure we're probably bound to see a price increase across the board.  Most likely that's going to happen after everyone gets done with their post-holiday season clearances and inventory.
Title: Re: Re: Black Series Rumors
Post by: Jesse James on January 9, 2015, 05:21 PM
If that does happen it'd better sync with a distinct quality increase.  Figures like Yoda would really be unacceptable...  Hell, that whole wave wouldn't be kosher at that gouge IMO.  :-\
Title: Re: Re: Black Series Rumors
Post by: DoctorPadawan on January 9, 2015, 06:58 PM
Considering the fact that I haven't been able to find an entire wave of figures in an actual brick-and-mortar retail store since the Vintage TPM wave in January 2012 (not even kidding), I certainly don't see the distribution issue improving enough for me to even worry about what Target is charging since i haven't been able to find anything there anyway.

That being said, the price increase will likely spread, since Star Wars figures are in such short supply there's no need for TRU or Walmart to actually decrease their prices to compete with Target. After all, if Walmart can't sell those Ric Olies and Mawhonics at 10 bucks, they're not going to sell them at 12-15, so it won't hurt to mark them up. TRU will have their mountains of Biggs and Anakins that they'll mark up, and the vast majority of the new figures planned, if they get released at all, will ostensibly become online exclusives just like the vast majority of the last three years' figures.

Am I being overly dramatic/cynical/pessimistic? Perhaps. Maybe. Sure. All I know is that Hasbro has managed to suck most of the excitement and joy out of (their segment of) collecting these last few years with these types of moves from which they never seem to learn. For me to expect anything less than a complete cluster**** from them at this point would be akin to expecting my ******* to sing showtunes.

I'll be taking that 12.99-15.29 they want for a Chewbacca that would likely be cross-eyed and possibly have two left feet and spend it on more Lego Stormtroopers, thanks.

I think this is the case.  When I lived in Minneapolis (Target's HQ), Target were in abundance and in competition with each other, so sometimes one store would have higher prices than another.

That's actually not true.  There are three national price tiers that Target uses.  There is a base national price, a lower price for proximity to Walmart stores (I don't know how close they have to be), and a set of testing stores where they mark items at a higher price then compare sales rates to the national base price stores.  So you might see a base price of $10.99, a WM competitive price of $9.99, and a price test store with a price of $11.99 for stores all in one market.  That said, I don't think individual stores ever manually set their own pricing just to compete with the Target down the street, though it is obviously possible to override pricing for an individual store as we saw with the legendary Knollwood sale.

LOL!  Sadly, not everyone has a Shopko Ghetto in their market.  The increase at retail blows, but this happens almost every year guys.  We see a big increase in the Spring, then prices soften a bit as we get into the Summer.  If the figures are $10, they raise them to $12 and people get angry and upset for a while.  There are no figures to buy though, so it doesn't really impact anyone.  Then by end of Spring, prices come down to $11 and everyone starts thinking that's a pretty good deal vs. $12, so they effectively raise the price with most people feeling good about it.

I still buy some figures at retail, but like most I've switched over to online prices.  You can get good deals on full cases through a lot of sites or just wait for the eventual TRU BOGOs or price drops on HTS or Amazon.  I hit Amazon this morning and scooped up a few Yodas for $4 and Toryns for $2.67.  If you can get a few figures at those prices, then pay $12-14 on others, you're still netting out at less than $10 per figure.  Honestly, I can't remember the last time I saw a new basic figure I wanted to buy at retail anyway.  I'm down to mainly just buying 6" there.

I loaded up on figs via Amazon just recently.  I've been pretty cheap about stuff this year, with good reason, and when I saw Reb pilot fodder that cheap, I dove in head first.

For the curious, Torryn Farr's head fits the Juno Eclipse figures too, which would also swap with some female Rebel Pilots too, I think.  Wink wink nudge nudge.

YodasNews is reporting that all retailers WILL be bumping prices up by $2/fig soon if they haven't already.

What say ye?

I say, fart.

And that it will certainly impact me.  I've found fun in other toy lines.  Ones I feel I get more out of in terms of fun, quality, detail, etc.  I'll still buy some Star Wars figures, and I'm firmly entrenched in the camp that if they improved quality to include multiple posed hands, multiple heads, nice accessories (and paint apps were actually decent), then I'd be ok with price hikes...  Unfortunately since 2008-now we've seen pretty steady price hikes (and now a spike) while quality has regressed obviously.

I mean, that Yoda?  The R5 droid?  Any repaint or repack?  Those things are kind of unjustifiable with the price increases.  Likewise Luke's arms...  and I'm a fan!  But at $13 I'd want to have seen far better execution on that articulation.

Anyway, yeah, I'm here...  I'll buy, but I think I'm done with anything PT era.  Not much OT will catch my attention either.  4" is dying, or it feels like it is.  The 5 POA stuff, some of it looks nice, but it's not better than anything it's replacing, to me, so I'm not into that.  If it's new, maybe, but if not then it's not even on my radar right now.

Kinda feeling like Star Wars just sucks, to me.  :(  At least the collecting side of it.  Not much to be interested in, happy about, or enthused.  Hell, I was geeked for those Rebels ships, then I got them, and they blow.

My biggest collecting happiness this year was ultimately getting those ship 2-packs for super cheap...  that and discovering Acid Rain World toys and other fun stuff I'm buying into now that aren't cheap, but deliver on a level Star Wars probably never could due to the license.

I guess I'm on the opposite side here.  I really liked what I saw at the NYCC preview party and if I have to pay $12 to get them, so be it.  I'll gladly pay $12 if it gets me that Jawa 2-pack or that sweet Han with Carbonite Block or Mosep they had there.

They made about 20 figures in 2013 and about 20 figures in 2014.  Of those, I think I bought about 15 a year or so.  A $2 price hike would hit me for about $30, spread out across the whole year.  I'll pay $3 a month in order to keep doing the thing I love - collecting really nice Star Wars 3.75" figures (toys).

If the extra $50 per year is going to break you, then by all means quit...  or just wait a year and buy them then - look at how many of the existing Black Series figures you could have had for $5-6 on Amazon the last few months... :P

ps.
Not going to speculate on how this hike will affect the Ep7 toy line at this point...  though my prediction of a $15 premium 3.75" collector line is looking pretty good right about now.  :-X

I'm still in despite the price hike, since I believe it will be short-term. I would hate to miss out on some of the upcoming releases like Clone Wars Clones and the Jawas. Hopefully the quality reverts back to 2012 levels with the price hike but I won't hold my breath.

I don't think the higher price point will be sustainable in the long run. My hope would be the prices come back down to normal levels with Episode 7, especially with lower oil prices and (hopefully) big box stores ordering larger amounts. My pessimistic side thinks it's just as likely for super-articulated 3.75" to be quietly phased out, maybe after a limited "premium" assortment for Episode 7. I can't see the 3.75" collector line keeping pace with 6" at $20 and 5POA at $6-7. The value just isn't there.

I'm kind of in the middle. Jeff makes good points on the overall impact of the price hike, but as Jesse says for a lot of figures it would be a non-starter for me. That being said I would have paid $12 for the Snowtrooper Commander or Toryn Farr. If the TFA line brings us the option of $12-$15 SA figures, I'll probably pass with some exception and focus on the 5 POA which I like and 6 inch.

I think I'm looking at it at a slightly different perspective from you Jeff, in that I'm looking at it from a "by the case" standard sort of thing.

I want Mosep, I want the Carbo Han...  Jawas, eh, I have literally dozens I'm content with and I guess that's where I'm at this point where I want greatness without the fluff Hasbro always squeezes in.  That is to say, I don't want repaints, repacks, and the other horse**** that gets put into case assortments under the guise of "it takes X to help pay for Y".  Which I always accept, but a $2 price hike on top of it makes me beg the question of just how much fluff they NEED to put in there then.

That said, if a case comes out and it's a solid grouping, or 2x of each, or whatnot...  I'm open to cases too.  I'm just questioning how easily it can be done getting 1x of what I want for retail...  I've written stores like WM or Target out because they feel to me as though they've written the line off for the most part.  TRU you can find stuff, but it's never a guarantee.  I hate hunting for stuff.

Amazon I think is a viable option.  Sets, perhaps may work, depending on how Hasbro decides to boner things up with repacks.

I'm far from saying I dislike what we get...  I'm just saying the further and further they push retail lines, the less and less I like it all.  Case assortments have to be a lot more collector friendly for me, I guess.

That and I hope things maintain at 20 figures or so a year...  Less even.  I like the lower numbers.  I never understand people wanting 60 figures in a year anymore.

But like you said Jeff, a Jawa 2-Pack is a 2-pack in general, and that's a step in the right direction at least even if it's not something I'm giddy about.  If it were in a set I had to buy and I wanted the rest, I'm in on that.  But what if it were just a Jawa?  Or what if it were that Yoda, or R5 droid (And I LOVE droid repaints)?  Things start getting funky at that point.

I still like Star Wars toys, if they're things I really want...  Han Carbonite and Mosep could turn my mind around 100% if I had either one in my hand at this moment.  It also feels like a lifetime ago that we saw them.  Maybe it's just the long lull since the last time I saw that that I've not bought anything new at all.  Hardly anything old either it seems.  :-\

Last year didn't help me either.  I got some figures I love like that Dagobah Luke, and I'm in the minority.  And like you Darby, I'd probably been content to get Torryn Farr and the Snowie Commander for even the inflated price (though not multiples of either, like I ultimately did, short of a steep discount).  I really loved Ree Yees and Doallyn's doppelganger and definitely would've paid $13 for each of them as well.  Good stuff is there, but something is just off for me right now, I guess.

I guess it's not so much the price hike's actual financial impact, especially if figure counts on the year stay similar.  I think it's more just how it makes me perhaps a little more critical of the toy itself?  Such as Yoda, who I could pass through my nitpicking because the backpack, the gear, and all that made it cool and fun to me.  But $2 more and I'm looking at it and thinking Yoda's more an accessory that should've been packed with Luke (I'm kidding...  sorta.  :-X).

Anyway, like I said, I'm still buying...  I'm out on extras short of sales though, and if cases are not collector-friendly, not sure what I'll do outside of Amazon, which makes me kind of antsy because they don't always get their pre-orders up quickly with Star Wars stuff.  Sometimes they do, but sometimes they're way behind it seems.

It'll really suck when they re-release stuff like the INC or Fleet Trooper, but at more money, and when I wanted many more of both if I could get them.  Same with the Echo Base Rebel, or Legacy Hoth Rebels, should either see their way back to retail.  I want more...  but at $13 a pop for things made years ago, army building is just not justifiable.

I hope buying online will be relatively easy for the year I guess.

I just don't understand the logic of raising the price ONLY on the Black Series 3.75" collector line. Why would that line specifically be the one to bear the brunt of the re-pricing? I don't see them raising the price of the 6" line or the Saga Legends stuff, or even the vehicles. (Not complaining, mind you...)

It does sort of remind you of that girl in high school who wanted to break up with you but didn't have the nerve so she just started acting like a total bitch to force you to break up with her.

I think I'm looking at it at a slightly different perspective from you Jeff, in that I'm looking at it from a "by the case" standard sort of thing.

If you order that way, then yeah - the $24 hike in "by the case" price stings quite a bit, especially if you're not splitting it with someone else.  Case packs will become even more important going forward I guess... especially if Target is going to continue to break up cases for the stores.

I think you can count on there being duds.  Do I want that repainted TVC C-3PO they showed at NYCC for $13?  Nope.   :-\

But $2 more and I'm looking at it and thinking Yoda's more an accessory that should've been packed with Luke (I'm kidding...  sorta.  :-X).

I guess that's where I'm hopeful.  Hopeful that Hasbro saw the reaction to the $10 BAD repaint and tiny Yoda and decided the price hike to add/keep value was more important than the idea of needing to hold the line at $10.  If that Yoda was $12 instead of $10, maybe we would have got something closer to the original spec drawing that Yakface posted a while back?

Time will ultimately tell us whether this hike was good or bad.  If $12 gets us back to Jawa 2-packs instead of one Jawa for $10.  It's a good thing.  If $12 gets us more corner-cutting stuff like the poorly deco'd, tiny Yoda and/or BAD repaints, then it's not a good thing.  If the line was holding steady at $10, there's no way that Carbonite Block gets packed in with Han Solo.

So, for now, I'll wait and see.  My gut says I'm fine with the extra $2 for now...  but whatever they show us at Toy Fair and/or Celebration could really change things though.
Title: Re: Retail Prices/Sales/Discounts
Post by: Jesse James on January 28, 2015, 07:09 PM
See I'm right there...  If we always got Han Carbonite level figures, I'm in.  I may buy two of him even because I want to custom a block as well, but I worry we're still going to get those repaint droids, crummy Yodas, and that 3PO (again, forgot about him) mixed in with repacks of figures people clamored for...... at the last price point.  >:(

That hurts then.  The financial impact goes from "oh it's just $2/per fig, no biggie", to "Plus you have to eat this ****** figure or three to get a set of what you want, or case to split".  :-\

Plus cases are tough to split in the current form...  2x of each I'm all about, but 1x of some, repacks from previous waves, etc....  Case packs are always against the collector it seems, with that rare 2x each gem that trickles out.

I see where you're hopeful Jeff, and I want to be optimistic about it too, but there's part of me just isn't banking on it.  If quality is up across the board I'm not only happy as a clam, I'm a bit amazed.  I'm just more the pessimist at the moment maybe.  And I do attribute that somewhat to the trends (all downward) in overall quality in the brand that have let me down, like the AT-DP, Yoda, and so on.

I don't know what is so great about the carbonite Han. Don't we already have a half dozen of that? At these prices I don't see any need for a character we already have multiple versions of. If they are going to charge those kind of prices then they should be new first release characters. It's not like they are sold at retail anymore.
Title: Re: Retail Prices/Sales/Discounts

3...  2 POTF2 buff figures.  1 a Saga figure with slightly more articulation than the POTF2 figures (wrists) and a block I call questionable in its sculpt and in a constant "thawing" look.

I'm all over a new Han Carbo...  For that matter if they went balls out, I'd rebuy ANH Han (just an example) if he included gloved and non-gloved hands, a removable stormie belt, and 2 unique headsculpts (headset and non-headset).  If it's a significant improvement I'm almost always all about it.

Like Ceremony Luke for instance...  His 2007 figure was pretty meh.  Inaccurate sculpt, blaster, and looking like he'd just been on a rollercoaster after eating 5 pounds of candy.  The TBS Ceremony Luke really blew him out of the water, and is grossly under-appreciated for the accuracy.  It was a buy I really felt good about after I made it.  I'd say TBS Anakin E2 was similar...  And I waited for clearance on him, but he was miles superior to the other versions which shocked me.

If we were offered a brown coat Hoth Han that could ride a Taun-Taun, 2 headsculpts included, I'd be all over that.

At this point in the 4" scale, resculpts are really the life of the line, such as it is...  Without them what would you have?  EU's off the table, and new is (generally) in the realm of obscure.  Ree Yees and Doallyn dude aren't exactly flying off the pegs and they're maybe the most collector-centric figures we've gotten in eons...  so obscure and new (RY isn't, I know, but overdue resculpt IMO) doesn't mean healthy.

At this point I think the line's lost so many collectors, that the vocal minority is more a minority now than it ever has been since the line's inception.  So only unmade obscurity is highly unlikely at any pricepoint I think. :(  NOt to say I don't want new, mind you.  I want a Tizzvizzizziztizzvizzizzit, a Cantina midget w/wife, Garrouf Lafoe, some of the Jabba SE goons from Docking Bay 94, some human goons from Jabba's Palace, the human Ugnaught, the Jabba Tibrian, the Jabba Snaggletooth, Echo Base Hangar Techs, Home One Human Crew, Nik Sant...  I want tons of new stuff, but it's all really oddball junk.

I also want true blue, ultimate, hyper detailed, mind blowing, heavily accessorized, "Ultimate Snake Eyes" type figures for ANH, Bespin, and Endor Han Solo though (and Leia, Luke, etc.)...  If we got an incredible new Endor Han tomorrow, how many people would be ecstatic to see it?  That TVC figure had some positives, but tons of negatives, and I'd love to replace it with something miles better.

The price hike sucks for sure, but if they deliver more bang for that increase, to where I consider it "fair", I'm more than happy to spend it.  I question whether they will or not though.

Seen both readily at TRU and don't go toy hunting much at all any longer.  Likewise Luke and the droid are easy to get as well.  The Doallyn dude is usually around half of the Ree Yees numbers though, to his credit.

I've only ever seen these twice in the wild - at two different TRUs.  Neither store had them for long.  They seemed to pop up a few places online as well - oh wait, I was thinking of NERDRAGETOYS where they thought they'd get cases full of them, then cancel on people with no notice.

There is a lot of new Mission Series and Saga Legends stuff still in-stock.  Maybe not the VHTF Hera, Sabine, or Jedi Guard at the moment, but a lot of folks here benefited from last 20% off & free shipping code they posted.

I haven't been able to track down much of anything at retail lately, so any help from HTS is much appreciated!!!

I'm hoping to score the new 6" figs in the coming weeks.

Looks like Walmart is getting ready to reset their Star Wars offerings. One walmart I went to today had the entire area cleared except for the latest wave 8 TBS series. Scored Rex, Doom, Thorn, C-3po and some Jawas. The entire wave was present. The other Walmart had an endcap setup with the entire wave 8 TBS figures and some miscellaneous lightsabers. There were signs that said More Star Wars toys on Sept 4th. 6" Speeder Bike and Jabba were reduced to $19.95.

Target completely removed their few Star Wars toys. They weren't on the shelves at all. No place for them but it looks like some temporary Jurassic World stuff was put there in its place.

TRU hasn't changed except for the new Box Busters and some rebranded TFA science toys. No figures at all.

I think TRU needs to go ahead and clearance those Rebels vehicles as well, what are they waiting for?

Did they clearance it out, or disappear it?

Some of the Targets around me have removed their Star Wars section, but I never saw much of it go through the discount steps.  I think most of it just got removed.

I hope most of it doesn't make its way back on to shelves come 9/4.

Everything that's left is on a clearance aisle.  If you want Jabba for $17.50, now's your chance.

Another Biker Scout and speeder bike might be attractive at that price!

With all the talk of discounts and clearance I was surprised to see that WalMart is holding at full price on TBS 3.75" figures.  I saw the last wave at a local store, but the figures were all $12.83 each.

TRU had Biker Scouts for $20 as well.  Seems like everyone (except Wal-Mart) is moving the old stuff out completely.

I found 5 Biker Scouts @ Target today for $18.  Picked up 3 just for the scouts.  Anyone want extra Speeder Bikes?

I hit several Targets over the weekend, most of which have been clogged with Jabbas and Speeder Bikes for months. While they were all on clearance, I was amazed to see that ALL of the boxes were damaged, and these had all been near-mint to begin with. It's like the employees decided to rip open the bubbles and crush the boxes as they transferred everything from one aisle to another. ???

I think when they are marking the clearance the stuff gets bounced around a little.  They probably toss it in a cart (damage), then toss something else on top of it (damage), then slap it around while they put that red clearance sticker on (damage) before carefully placing it in a perfect front facing and orderly spot on the shelves.  Then some kid rifles through and knocks them on the ground (damage).  The 3 I got this weekend were in pretty good shape.

Crazy clearance sales at Walgreens stores. They were priced pretty high before, but phase 2 TBS 3.75" figures are being clearanced out for $1.38 each.  I picked up another of the ROTJ R5 units.

Nice! I'm hitting a bunch on my way home.

And yet, for some reason they refuse to put the GoT figures on clearance despite the fact these have been gethering dust for months now.  ::)

Thanks for the tip, Nick.  I hit a few today at lunch but didn't find any left at my closest three Walgreens.  :(

They were 40-60% off at the stores I hit today...  well, I should say Tyrion was, since he was the only one I saw.  About $8-9 each for the most part.

I picked up a Vizam,  R5-D4, and Yoda for $1.19 each after hitting a few different Walgreens. Most of the locations had none at all. Glad to have found what little I did.

TRU stores are running a BOGO sale on TFA 3.75" figure packs.  The deal is Buy one, get one 40% off.

From the wording on the peg tags I think this promotion includes 3.75" basic figures and the Armor Up assortment.  And IIRC this sale is running through 9/12.

Toys R Us has two Battle for Endor sets marked down to around $60 each.

Sounds good? Too bad someone took all the Imperial figures out of one and all the imperials and Han Solo out of the other one.
I wonder was it theft or did they actually take them back as returns?

Arguably still decent if you wanted the other contents, I guess, considering the going rate of new items.

Black Friday looks to be a non-event for SW stuff this year. I've read all the ads (Walmart, TRU, Target, Gamestop, Walgreens, etc) and the only thing it appears we will see deals on are the 12" , 20" and 31" figures.

I guess Kohls has basic figures for $8.99, but I can't tell if its the Armor Up or BAW stuff. I guess neither of those is very appealing anyway.

I wish I lived in Canada because up there you will be able to get 6" SW figures for $10 a piece at Walmart. I would kill for a deal like that here.

Trust me, one deal like this does not make up for the rest of the Third World-like supply and pricing issues we normally have.  That $10 deal only applies to the last 2 waves of 6" figures from the pre-TFA waves.

Our dollar is in the ******* so you can add 35% to any online purchases and international shipping has gone through the roof.  /rant  ;)

One decent deal I've seen is for the Disney Infinities Star Wars packs.  50% off at Target.  There might be other deals at other stores for this as well, but I haven't looked to hard yet.  Still trying to find a good Battlefront bundle with a new console as well.

LOL @ Jesse.  I knew that was coming. :)

I picked up quite a few TFA 4" figures for BOGO last week at Dollar General...  Most stores were picked clean but one out of the way store had some, and another had (oddly) 3 figures, 2 of which were a stormie and flametrooper.  As figures I can ultimately articulate easily enough that was cool.

The other store had a Finn/Rey which I'd not bought (no real interest) but for $4, sure!  Rey's pack is slick, and Finn, besides articulation, is nice.

Star Wars is so hot this year, I wouldn't count on many great deals.  No clue why Dollar General went zany with a BOGO when they weren't keeping things in stock well anyway, but hey, it worked.

No, these are being labeled as a TLJ preview wave, with some classic TFA figures thrown in for good measure.

AWings were on sale at K-Mart ($28.50-ish) and my store finally got in some basic figures including Chewie and Paige...  I had a $5 off $50 and some points so I used $30 in points and got all that stuff and some 9v batteries for $19.  :)

Finally having Paige in hand, and completely ignoring the articulation count, she's the best pilot figure in the line...  Add in articulation though and she's nowhere near, but the helmet, the mask...  It's pretty damn cool for a 5POA figure.  She's got a worthy spot on my pilot shelf.

Got Chewie for the Porg.  *shrugs*

Got a 2nd AWing cuz damn that's a fine fighter.

Wow, actually found a Walmart blowing out Black Series 3.75" figs for fifty cents each! That's the lowest I've ever seen for any action figure. I grabbed the last 9 they had, mostly Jyns but also a couple of Cassians and Leias.

They also had A-wings priced at $1 but those were all gone.

There was about a 6 month period during the TAC days where this one Walmart that was near Paul had TONS of army builders and all their SW figures rang up as like $3.25.  He'd call me once a week or so and ask me what I wanted... It's where I got half of my Stormtroopers... I got tons of Yavin Guards, Galactic Marines, Airborne Troopers, Jawas... it was amazing.

Oh, yeah! Back in the Saga 2 days, same thing at one of our WMs. For months, all SW figures were $3.50. They kept getting in fresh cases and I built my Republic armies as well as a full platoon of Sandtroopers. Good days.
