And, in addition to my assigned project, I am still shooting to add some filler citizens to the city, just random characters from my fan fiction misc stuff over here.

Sounds great, Ryan. Roron has been in contact with me and I'll work on the globe base and get you those measurements on the Palp statue tomorrow in the a.m.

Chewie, that's the one. It is gathering dust in one of my fodder boxes. I'll dig it out tonight, glue it together and post a pre-texture paint pic of it with a figure beside it for scale. The picture on the box is a painted version of the model. As mentioned, it is a dull grey colored plastic and would look (IMO) really cool with a stone texture sprayed on. More to follow tomorrow.

Love the globe idea, but I have an idea for the project managers.

I have been trying to find a contribution to add to the project that is feasible for me with my new job and taking care of my wife. Here is my suggestion, please let me know.

I have a boxed AMT Palpatine model kit from the SOTE line that is in my fodder box. It is complete and comes unpainted in a grey color. I think it stands around 10-12 inches tall. I could slap it together and shoot some stone texture paint on it giving it that Palpatine homage look, reminiscent of the statues being pulled down at the end of ROTJ. I have a full woodshop and could make a base like Roron was discussing out of MDF. Beat the idea around and give me some feedback today. I can knock this out tomorrow if given the go ahead. Let me know.

I'll jump in as well. I have a few projects I am working on now that I have some time available. I have a good collection of custom figures I could donate over here. I'll try to get some females pushed out over the next week and post here.

Outstanding, Paul... and there it is...

I have been lurking on this project for awhile, not too much to add over the last few months as I was waiting on personal issues in my life and if this project would survive the birthing process. I can contribute probably 10-15 'filler' figures to populate the backgrounds in the city area.

I would also love to contribute a custom ship project that I have been sitting on for a while, hope to get it posted in the next couple weeks across the forums here, RS and Yak.

I'll get some personal info sent out this weekend to the project managers and get off my buttocks to assist.

You can reach me at sarge@sarges-customs.com or, of course, Sarge via PM here, RS and Yak.

Let's roll.  ;D

OK, Ben... now place all these in a box and drive them over here to Hinesville.  ;D

Excellent work as always. Hope to add a few of these to my future projects.

A little bumpity bump to wish everyone here at JD a great holiday season. The last couple of months have been interesting for me and my family (a little cancer scare for my wife who is a renal cancer survivor) so here is wishing everyone a Happy Holiday season, know matter what you celebrate. From my house to yours...

I'll get off my butt in the next few weeks on what will be my next project, the Sarge's Diorama room. Have a great couple of weeks.

Ah, I never finished the Quest, THAT'S why I never got the secret handshake!  ;D

I do a lot of polymer clay sculpting (the official name of Sculpey). I also have a pasta machine for conditioning the clay before I start to work with it. I find it a great medium. I would encourage beginners to read up on the subject, most book stores / libraries have great craft books on Polymer Clay. I highly recommend purchasing Creating Life-Like Figures in Polymer Clay - a step-by-step guide by Katherine Dewey. I feel it is the guide for everything from proportion, clothing, hair, to paints and finishes. I use the heck out of it when I am sculpting.

Random ramblings from the Sarge. Hopefully I can get off my butt after the holidays and start posting more.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: The "Final 22"
« on: November 23, 2006, 08:25 AM »
Just about dashed my hopes for anything new in my area yesterday. I was at the local Wally World and the pegs were over flowing with GB / H&V to the extent of stacks of figures laying on the top pegs. Frustrated, I wandered off and saw a large pull cart taking overstock to the back. On it I saw the familiar shape and size of Hasbro on it and rushed to see if possibly there were Naboo and later releases on it. I almost had to pick my jaw off the ground when I noticed no less that 30 CASES of H&V on the cart headed to the back. Hasbro made a serious buck off my WalMart. Maybe in 2008 I can start looking for the Naboo wave in my area.  >:(

Oh, and the last 22? Yeah, right...somewhere...over the rainbow...

"What about that tower?"

Matt,

"You worry about those fighters, I'll worry about that tower."
Oh... trench run, Episode 4 (or just Star Wars to us old guys  ;D )

Next Quote: "Chewie, you're hit? Where is it?"
