I'm pretty sure she's been mentioned previously, but Veronica Zemanova is gotta be at the top of the list:

Swam with turtles on four different days, one that would fit Matt’s sweater even.  It was awesomely huge, probably about 3 feet across, maybe 4 feet long, probably 400 pounds .

Wow.  That must have been one of those "I'll never forget this" occasions.  It's great that you such a successful trip.

Oh, and welcome back to the fluffy white stuff.

That's the beauty of doing the books yourself.   ;D

Jocasta's Reading Room / Re: Clone Wars Anthology/Timeline

i never knew there was that many [stories], lots of reading to be done before Episode 3 comes out.  :D

Agreed.  I've totally fallen behind in my SW Republic reading, I think the last comic in that series I've tracked down was #65 or so.

I don't normally read any of the novels (not since the days of Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy - good stuff).  Are there any Clone Wars novels that people have read that have impressed them?

Gentle Giant / Re: OT Gentle Giant Busts

Dale, I can't remember how far you've ventured into collecting these busts.  Do you have the regular Vader one?  If so, how do they compare?  I want one so bad - do you think sending an eBay auction note to my wife would be too obvious?   ;D

A few weeks ago I read the 3-part story "To the Last Man" in Empire #16-18.  I honestly think it was some of the best writing I've read in comics in years.  Check it out.

Check this out:

The Unofficial Clone Wars Site

I haven't checked it out lately, but I'm pretty sure that's updated very regularly.

Kubricks / Re: Power of the Kubricks!

Very impressive pic!  Those individual Kubricks sure look sharp stacked in their cases.  So, if I'm seeing things right, that 5-pack from TRU is actually a little longer than the speeder bike set?

LEGO / Re: Light Up Lightsabers?
« on: December 16, 2004, 12:20 AM »
Oh, the light up lightsabers are VERY cool!  But releasing it with a repacked item - very UNCOOL.    I agree Matt, did Hasbro recently buy out Lego?   ;D  Because it appears the same dumbassed thinking is leaching its way into this line too.   ::)

Just in case you didn't see it in the DVD thread, a 6 minute preview of ROTK: EE.

Sweet.

I can't decide if I should buy this on Dec. 14th or wait for it as a Christmas gift.

Simple solution:  buy it for your significant other, like I did.  Hee, hee.  Actually, she really wants these movies.  Honest.

In recent months, I've begun to have fun with the "situation". I'm nearly ready to start collecting their personal information, for a devious plan I'm hatching.

Oh that would be too fun!  There's got to be a way to teach these schmucks a lesson.

Anyone else still rollin' with this line, or what?!

I'm hoping to get into this line.  I've been drooling over the X-Wing for months!  Being the subtle guy that I am, I forwarded the website link to my wife by e-mail, just in case she was looking for any ideas for me.  Aren't I helpful?   ;)

I think the Vader's TIE and AT-AT will be incredible.  But I wonder how that AT-AT will compare and compete with the MR one.

I totally understand.  Our phone number has 2 digits reversed compared to the number for the 7-11 in town.  So you can imagine the strange times of the night that we get people calling asking for the flavours of slurpees they have.  How freakin' hard is it to dial correctly?  Ok, I make mistakes too, but if it's 3 in the morning, I make damn sure that I'm dialing the number right.   ::)

You know, they just might believe you about the ink cartridges.  I mean, it's such a bizzare story that they'd almost have to believe that no one would make it up.  Cross your fingers, some days you get an understanding store manager.   :)
