I wish I had some witty retort about the Yankees to add, but I don't because it looks like it's all been said already.

Just consider me among those who are happy that they are dead too... makes the Twins loss a little more tolerable to know that the Yankees are out as well.   ;D

It will be interesting to see which heads roll for this latest Yankee implosion. Rumors are already swirling with Pinella possibly replacing Torre...

I guess it was only a matter of time now that we're in October...  MN forecast calls for 40oF for a high with a chance of snow flurries on Wednesday & Thursday.   :-X

Not ready for the cold yet, so I'll just hope it's one of those "over-reacting weatherman" times...

So, I finally got a chance to open up my sets and I thought folks would appreciate a run-down of the figures...

TPM:
Darth Maul = Evolutions Maul (straight repack)
Obi-Wan Kenobi = PotJ Obi-Wan (they added a nub for the commlink on his belt, includes TSC sg cloak)
Qui-Gon Jinn = Ep1 Jedi Master Qui-Gon (straight repack w/ TSC sg cloak)
R2-R9 = VOTC R2 repaint (still has the pop-up periscope feature)

AOTC:
Clone Trooper = Evolution Ep2 Clone (blue repaint)
Anakin Skywalker = Evolution Anakin (straight repack)
Jango Fett = Kitbashed (legs/waist = Slave I Pilot Jango, Upper half = Kamino Escape Jango)
   - note: Jango has a huge hole on his forearm where the grappler hook used to be  ::)
Count Dooku = Evolutions Dooku (straight repack)

ROTS:
Mace Windu = ROTS #10 Mace (straight repack)
Yoda = ROTS #03 Yoda (w/VOTC Yoda cloak and cane)
Anakin Skywalker = Evolution Anakin (straight repack w/TSC sg cloak, NOT the Evolutions sg cloak  :()
AR-RT Driver = ROTS #54 AT-RT Driver (white repaint)


note: all of the soft goods cloaks in these first three tin sets are the same soft goods cloak that has been included with the '06 Saga figures (like Anakin, Obi-Wan, etc).

Well, I guess our weaknesses finally caught up with us.

I would have loved to see a post-season with Santana, a health Liriano, and a healthy Radke, but what can you do?

Our hot bats got us into the Central Division title, and then unforunately, the lack of those same hot bats killed us.   :'(

So basically, even though Hasbro said "We don't have any plans right now for these" when asked about more Greatest Hits waves a month ago in the Q&A, now they announce they are going to foist 20-24 more repacks on us next year? 

When they hinted at having a fan choice for repacks, I assumed it was going to be like the OTC where it would be ONE repack selected by the fans.  But 20-24 of them?  And that's above and beyond the repacks they were already going to give us in the basic 30th Anniv figure line...   Ick.  ::)

Like Mike said, the pic in the Hasbro update is most obviously not correct - it's just a pic of the first release figure and definitely NOT what we are getting in the first wave (a white/gray version with new deco shield) which is what was in the early leaked pics from GH/RS/JD.

If it can happen for the McQuarrie, it can happen for the Mace too.   Add in what Matt said about the carded figure and I'm definitely expecting the first Mace that was shown and not the one in the Hasbro update...  :-\
