Title: popping out ball jointed arms

so how do you get them out and in lukes torso

Exactly...  Jason laid that out pretty clearly in his post.  I recognize parts, it's really ingenious parts useage to make the ultimate Jedi LUke (I'd have used softgoods for the skirt I think), and a nice figure.

Don't we all wish Hasbro was this creative? :)  Hell, they practically own all those parts ready made...  It'd only require a little torso modification on their part, but minimal mold tooling overall...  Simple swapping around, and voila, perfection.
