Yah, the talk shows over at DSP2 are pretty funny. They wanted to interview my microlady Aayla but I just got this weird creeped out feeling talking to them about it that I didn't go thru with it.

Good ideas Greg. I'll do that with the next mold. I went ahead a primed the parts last night and started cutting up the torso. I'm not thilled with the helmet. I may have to remold it. Ruprecht is right, I lost too much detail doing it that way.

What is that green goo on his sholder's suppost to be?

5374
Pen, what torso and arms are you using there? GI Joe right?

Very cool. What are you planning on doing to her?

Cool. It's going to be very cool if I know your customs. Anyway, give some though to using that decal paper. It will make those logos look fantastic.

It comes with software to make and print out the drawings and I think three pieces of paper.

I like the idea and the color scheme. I don't like the paint job however. Very messy feeling. I would suggest not using craft store paints and go for something a little higher quality such as GameWorkshop or Tamyia paints. It really helps getting that movie quality by using the right paints. A good set of high quality paint brushes really makes it easy to get great results. $3-4 a piece from a art supply store is a good investment.

Next, I would use some masking tape when trying to make straight lines. It just makes life so much easier when making straight lines. Finally, I would make all the pictures, lightsaber count and wording in the computer and print them out using clear custom decal paper. You can get some great detail this way and get things to look exactly the way you want them before appling them to the ship. The wording on the side of the ship could be done in some crazy mandolorian font and made to look like it was painted on. It's a really good idea but just needs to be cleaned up some.

You could aways cut off Bib's tails and add them to Mace's head.

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: Wax Vs. Clay

I think waxing is going to be the next step in my customizing sickness. I'm getting better at casting and figuring out portions. Soon I will need a new skill to master.

True, there are bigger special versions of the microman. They come painted, with weapons and gear. They even come with differnt character heads. The ones I'm talking about are the Material Force sets are just blank artist figure studies that are exclusive to TRU in Japan and these are the only size. These are made for customizing.

The web site http://www.microforever.com/ has tons of pictures of other Microman figures.

There is only one Microman size. He is 4" tall. The Microladies actually come in four chest sizes. (S,M,L,XL) The XL is pretty unusable for most applications.

The Microsisters are a little shorter than the microlady. MicroSisters are 3 3/4" while the MicroLadies are 4". There are a little better jointed but look more childlike at least to me. Here are pictures of MicroSisters and MicroLadies.

Of course, here is the Microman.
