Toytokyo has the official Be@rbrick display cases available right now at this link: https://www.toytokyo.com/shopping/index.php/page/product/product_id/7308
$37.99 for 20 cases.  I purchased four cases of these from them earlier in the year without problems.  Get 'em while you can!

I just picked one up.  It's a 'no-brainer' to me given the original cost and the fact that it has a chase Boba Fett.  If I don't get it now, I'll just be chasing it down at a later date anyway.

Looks like those 'chase' heads will be: a scarred Anakin for the Vader maquette and a Han Solo for the Stormtrooper.  No word I can find on numbers.

I had a disaster happen to me today...while removing my BHS Stormtrooper from its box to finally display it, I watched in horror as the contents fell to the floor.  A total of three fingers from the two right arms and the the sight on the long rifle broke off!  I almost started to cry.  Needless to say, I spent the rest of the afternoon repairing these, and I must say that the final result is acceptable--the crack lines are almost invisible even upon close inspection.  But, I am never going to be able to accept having a damaged BHS, especially since it took me so long to get it.  I know the chances are slim, but if there is anyone out there who would be willing to trade my two damaged (but repaired) arms and long rifle for their perfect ones, I can make it worth your while.  PM me if interested.  I will send pics of the damaged parts for your inspection and we can discuss terms.

Looks like there is a Luke X-Wing Pilot maquette that will be tandem-packed with a lego X-Wing this summer.  I tried to find more details on Lego's site, but no dice.

Starwarsshop.com has the Vader and a Boba Fett up for sale--both $99.99 each before shipping costs.  They look interesting.  Lots of parts and articulation.  I'm going to pass, though...just can't justify getting sucked into another line.

A picture of a Blackhole Stormtrooper Lego maquette is available on slave1.jp, for those interested.  Also, any word on the 'chase' heads to be randomly packed in the Vader and Stormtrooper?

Just received the Padme promo maquette.  To me, this is the holy grail of Star Wars collectibles and it took me forever to obtain it at a 'reasonable' price.  I am excited because this means I'm one step closer to the complete promo collection.  I only require Yoda (almost forgot about him) and Asajj now.  Drop me a PM if any of you have one or the other that you're looking to unload to a weary but thankful collector.

It was an auction win on eBay.  It came along with a promo Padme maquette as a 'toss-in' bonus.  The ad mentioned that the key was an artist proof, but I presumed that information was referring to the maquette itself.  To my surprise and delight, both items were AP versions, not just the maquette.  Although I paid a small fortune, I feel I lucked out on this find.

I just purchased a Padme key, but this one is marked 'Special Edition 10AP/25.'  Up until this point, I wasn't aware that ACME produced AP versions of these.  Does anyone else have any info?

I believe 50 AP (or 'promo' or 'proof') examples were produced for each maquette.  I got into collecting these because I've found the paint applications to be superior in the promo versions.  The limited number produced just makes them that much more collectible in my opinion.  I need only an Asajj and Padme promos to be complete, but I wanted to get a head start on the Yoda on Kybuck and Windu.

Any sources for pre-orders on promotional AP versions of these maquettes?
