First of all, what kind of Hitman goes in with a claw hammer?  Even if he was trying to make it look like a home invasion or something, I'm pretty sure that many thieves are better armed than that.  Maybe he took the term "hit"man a little too literally?   Weak rimshot after that one.

Second, for some reason I know you're not supposed to laugh at stuff like this, but yes you are....damnit.


I actually pictured this fight being much like the "Cherry vs. Landfill" scene in Beerfest.  If you haven't seen that, it's pretty funny.

I'm quite the gamer, so I usually buy most of the systems just so I can play the best games.

Last generation, I bought the Gamecube for Mario Kart, Sunshine and of course the Star Wars flight titles.  That's pretty much all I ever played on it.

My PS2 is used exclusively for DDR, Katamari and Karaoke Revolution titles (I just pre-ordered the newest DDR for it to get the "free" soundtrack CD.

My Xbox was my favorite of the last generation, mostly due to Halo and Halo 2, though PGR and Soul Calibur were also given countless hours. Worms 3D was also a sleeper hit for me.

I've owned Every version of the Gameboy since the original black and white one, except for the Micro.  I went right to the DS and the DS-Lite from there.  Tetris and Mario Kart DS are both awesome, New Super Mario is amazing.


This generation, I already have my 360.  The other two, I have a feeling I'll get eventually, though not next month.

At over 600 dollars after tax before you even buy a game, the PS3 needs to show me some completely wonderful titles before I'll make that kind of Neo Geo type investment on it.   I've seen some good demos, but I want to see actual games.  They've been pretty quiet lately.   I didn't pre-order, so I think this might be a 2007 console....if the price goes down or they release some awesome games.  At launch, it's just a lot of money to spend on a Blu-Ray player I don't need.

I think I'll end up with a Wii, though I'm not sure if that'll be at Christmas time or sometime after.   There's a great video on IGN where they walk you through several of the titles. The graphics suck, but the console looks like it might be fun to have around for parties or whatever.  I'll probably use it exclusively for that, as I can't imagine waving my hands around on a regular basis just to play a game.

Today though, it's pretty much all about the 360 and DS.  I'm playing Dead Rising right now, along with Ninety Nine Nights and a few of the arcade titles on Xbox Live. When those are done, I'm getting Saints Row (too many good reviews from my friends not to get it).  In the next few months, Gears of war, DOA Extreme 2, Viva Pinata, DDR Universe, Lego Star Wars 2 and a bunch of others will be competing for my video game dollar.  My thumbs are getting sore just thinking about all these good games.

But I agree that if you're taking a design from a studio, odds are there has been at least one other person that has done it before you.

Whether you're drawing it yourself, or pulling it out of Microsoft Clip Art, a tattoo is not unique.  You may have drawn the most awesome design, but chances are 100% that someone has a slightly varied interpretation of the exact same design in the exact same place somewhere in the world.

I was thinking I could get a tattoo of an ice cream sundae being held by Darth Maul while he's sitting on a VW Bug.  Of course, I'm sure someone out there has the same damn thing.....probably with a cherry on top.   

You know...the blacklight tattoo does sound kind of interesting.   I don't know why anyone would want one.  It seems like a tattoo for people who realize all the bad things about tattoos but still want to get one anyway.

There are several tattoos I can envision myself getting, but I can't picture a one of them still looking cool when I'm 80 and wrinkled.  I see them as passing whimsy, like the neon clothing I once owned, the baseball hat I wore every day in high school or the silly plastic friendship bracelet I will admit to having worn in 6th grade.  I'd worry that it would be fun in the moment, but 10 or 20 years later, I feel a little silly for ever having done it.  I'm not about to tattoo the Imperial Cog on my arm, because even though I'll probably always love Star Wars....I don't need it inked into my skin with a needle to remind me.

I've dated a few girls with excessive tattooing and it didn't bother me much.  I figured it was a choice they made. I don't begrudge all the younglings with their butterflies on the ankle or intricate design right above the old coin slot, but I do feel bad for their future.  All I can think about is how there's not going to be one grandmother at the nursing home without some Chinese character, Native American phrase or Ivy wrapped around her arm. When their nurse or the orderlies have to change her diapers, they'll be the last ones to see the wrinkly Celtic design right over her sagging ass. I know there's not a lot of dignity in needing constant care, but I'd like to think the grandma without the "Axl Rose forever" tattoo across her boobs gets some automatic respect points later in life.

Those grandpas you see today with their War Tattoos don't look so terrible, but I think the Grandpa with both arms inked all the way up might not look so "extreme" 50 years from now.  People will probably just assume he had a hard life or something.


I've talked with some inked people about this and they all say that everyone gets old and will look equally silly.  The thing is, when you're 80, you probably won't be running around with green hair, short skirts, piercings, tank tops and all the stuff you got away with when you were 20, but you'll still be stuck with the ink.


The whole thing comes down to a personal preference.  If tattoos don't bother you to look at, you're probably safe to get one.  A great barometer (but not safe for work) site to visit is SuicideGirls.com.  My friend is a member there and is in love with all the girls at that place.  To me, when I visited it, all I saw is some women that would have otherwise been absolutely great looking if they hadn't destroyed their bodies with ink and metal. To me, they look like girls that have been used and abused.  To him, it's like...paradise.

My former dip**** co-op student once made a comment that tats on chicks are called "tramp stamps".

That's pretty hilarious and I'm going to have to remember that one.

Not as frequently as I used to back in the day. My little wannabe show is probably outshined by a billion podcasters these days, but it's still a fun hobby from time to time.
