Last night's opener was good - just wish so much of it wasn't recap, as I've laredy been watching S3 on DVD.  Where did they all meet up towards the end of the show?  Was that the front section of the plane where Kate, Charlie, and Jack watched the pilot get killed early in S1?

Don't me wrong, I think any give episode of the CW cartoon is far superior to ROTS, however, this wave just doesn't excite me at all. I look forward to the Obi-Wan and the Quad Clone, but that's it.

Amazing - these are two of my least favorite, though the lancer droid and Scuba clone are actually worse. Sounds like little consensus on which figs people are most excited about, which is my definition of a well put together line (less chance of HTFs and peg warmers).

ONE MORE DAY!

That pop up thing was annoying at first, but very insightful towards the end of the show.  A lot of others were wiped out last season, so will be good to see who the new baddies are.

wow all figures look SA :o and is it just me or does it also look like its a cloth kama on the clone   ???

I tink its just you.  All three of the aliens in this wave are incredible - great to have the cal armies to fight with shirtless kit, who is probably one of my top 5 figs ever.   :-*

I will miss the coins.....I really liked them.

I'm torn on coins versus stands.  I thought the coins were really cool as well - they look great in package and in the album.  However, I think the basic stands are pretty nifty, and actually useful if you open up your figs and want to display them loose.  What I'm dreading is the  BAF pieces.  ::)

**I have my Cobra Crimson Guard posed exactly as Anakin right now (at least leg wise) and I'd love to post a photo, but I'm on dial-up at the moment.

They still offer dial-up access?   ???  ;)

I think now you know how people in other countries feel about collecting all of these American Toy Lines...its the price you pay for collecting a foreign little produced line.  Just my 2 cents

No, I don't know.  I'm sure its a lot harder to collect in a foreign country because there is a ton of stuff that they don't have access to versus a few exclusives.  A lot of people in other countries probably don't have as big of an income to support their collection or as big of a house to display it in or clean drinking water for that matter.  Of course, I also don't know of too many SW toys that I could buy locally then sell overseas for 400% their original cost.

My comments are geared more towards exclusives of any kind.  Is it cool for you to have something in your collection than 99% of other collectors can't get?  Sure, but how does that make the other 99% of collectors feel?

I got my StarWarsShop.com order yesterday.

Lt. Shan is very nice...the removable hat from Luke will be getting cast (not by me) so that the Death Star briefing guys can have hats..

I have not had a chance to get the 2 Stormtroopers out yet or even look at them..I'll get a mini view later if time allows.

Any interest in selling off some extra cast caps?  I have no idea how to do this, but would love to get some spares and I'm sure others would as well.  Let me know if we can work something out!

Too bad you can't see what's going on under the tabard - I assume that's the skirting?

The tabard is actually the plastic part below the waist. Previous version have had a solid tabard, these new are split in the front.

So do these guys look like GI Joes under their skirts?  ???  I was never a fan of that style of figure, but I guess I don't mind it here where they've covered it up.  Put me down for 2x of each!

Yikes! That's a hell of a price.

ULTRA RARE !! MEDICOM KUBRICK Star Wars 5 Pack Set

Glad to see someone making money off of these in the secondary market.  Too bad they didn't just make 4x as much though and let peopleadd to their collections for something less than the price of a TV.  Honestly, this set is party the reason I'm letting my kubie collection go.  Its one thing to not be able to get the variants, but making a box set of five pretty commmon characters this difficult to get is ridiculous.   :(

I like how we refer to certain SW toys as "realistic."  ;D  Not sure what else you could call them, but that just strikes me as funny.

DCUC Wave 2 "in package" pictures at the linky, they look pretty nice.  Looking forward to Quinn and Aquaman the most out of this wave, personally.

Thanks for the pics.  Figs look nice, but I'm skipping this line until W3 Green Lantern hits.  If anyone needs the Lantern BAF piece, let me know.

Anyone's stores clogged with clearance wave 2 Hasbro ML?  I'm still hoping to get the last pieces to build Blob.  I still need the Xorn, Juggernaut, Wolverine and Jean Grey pieces.  Ugh.

Haven't seen these on clearance, but those figs are at almost every Target around here if you want them at full price.  I still have yet to see W3 figs or FF ML figs at retail.  ::)

Other Toy Lines / Re: Transformers
« on: January 28, 2008, 10:43 AM »
ToyFare now has the links up to pictures of the upcoming Universe (Classics) Sunstreaker and Onslaught.  It also has the lineups for the first wave of Deluxe and Ultra:

Deluxe Wave 1:
Sunstreaker (sports car)
Prowl (police car)
Tankor (a.k.a. Octane, oil tanker/jet)

Ultra Wave 1:
Onslaught (SWAT Vehicle)
Powerglide (plane)

Sunstreaker is the only one tempting me at this point.  I only have room to display one of each key character, so I'll probably just stick with the Alternators version.

The Matts are sure going to love this...

Pats fans are smarter, classier, healthier than those in NY
Some 62 percent of Pats fans living in the Boston area earned a bachelor's or postgraduate degree or have some higher-education experience, compared to 59 percent of Giants fans, according to the latest marketing data provided by the Nielsen Co., the TV ratings firm.

OMG stats like this just make me want to strangle someone.  I know the post above is in jest anyway, but do people get that 62% versus 59% in the Nielsen sample is statistically the same number?  Please tell me people are smarter than this.
