« on: December 23, 2007, 07:19 PM »The red fatigue clone is a bit of a letdown. It's not a good army builder because of the solid ankles and the non-ball jointed swivel shoulders. The likeness and sculpt are good, but why the hell did they stop short of perfection and mess up the shoulders and ankles? I'd have picked up 20, instead I'm keeping just a few.
14 points with ball jointed shoulders should be standard by now. What a waste this one was.
Jango, McClam, Voolvif are all top notch. Really really good.
Passed on Padme because I'm sick of her, and never liked female action figures much.
Padme is one of my favorites from this wave - I think they did a pretty good job with her, especially compared to most of the SW female figs. But Hasbro, would it kill you to make a figure with something larger than an A cup?

« on: December 23, 2007, 02:56 PM »I regret not buying the GH. they look really cool and all but i just find $7.99 for these little guys to be a little expensive. same with the titaniums. i got 2 from a secret santa and relaized just how cool they are but lack of space tells me to hold off of them.
On the reverse, I actually regret collecting the GH sub-line. I started with the second wave and it took me a while to go back and get the first wave. I decided not to get the ships, but did want to get one of each figure, which isn't so bad with waves of four 2-packs at a time.
Then came those massive Battle Packs.
I don't mind getting a bigger chunk of figs at a time, but when most of the wave is all repeats, it really blows re-buying figures that you already have. I bit on the first few of these, but have passed on the WM ones, which arguably have nicer, more new figures than their predacessors. I'm also running out of room and suddenly have like a hundred of these things!

It's a mix of osteoporosis, osteomalacia, and the rickets!
Its just a deceptive visual. Each clone took one more step backwards than the clone to his right.

« on: December 23, 2007, 10:23 AM »Found Training Clone, Destroyer Droid, and Voolvif at Walmart this morning. Getting close, but I'm not sure if I'll finish 2007 in 2007.
I was seeing the Commander Appo wave put out in force until May of this year, at both Target and Walmart. Something tells me you'll have plenty of opportunity to score waves 7, 7.5, and 8 right into the Spring.
Yeah, if nothing else I expect to see TAC on clearance at Target when they shift over to the new DPCIs. Sounds like a big reset is scheduled right after Christmas, so we'll see. I'm actually pretty close - I just want a few more Hawkbats, 3x Rebel McTroopers, and maybe a few Wave 8 on better cards/bubbles. Everything else I already have or am in the process of trading for.

I'm with DA on this one. I like a few of the Evo sets, but the vintage line was really one of my favorites. I wish they were a little cheaper - some of the ones I picked up last time I paid full Target price of $12 for. If they were closer to the $8-9 range, I think they'd sell a lot better. I would at least like to have a complete bounty hunter set, but that's probably unlikely at this point.
