That’s the one!  I’m still a little surprised that the official site put that out.

It was back in a time when people weren't offended at the littlest things.

I've got no clue what the coded figures are.  And I wonder if those might actually correlate to the IG-11 and Lando Calrissian that were already revealed.  But if we're looking at more reissues with these two TBD waves?  Ugh.

As for the Gaming Greats?  Part of me wonders if these are going to be mostly reissues.  The indications that there's a Jedi Fallen Order Scout Trooper indicates that there's at least some new tooling in play here.  Hopefully the rest of the GG wave will be *KIND OF* new.  There are also a number of figures that have been previously released in The Vintage Collection and other lines that might be viable candidates.  There's also been demand for a TVC grade Darth Revan.  Hasbro had slotted the 30th Anniversary Collection Revan for a reissue in The Vintage Collection, but it seems as though people thought that figure was dated and not up to modern standards.  Maybe the Gaming Greats subline is how they're going to get a new Revan into the line?  But I'm also expecting more reissues.  It would be nice if Hasbro can find a way to re-offer figures like the Republic Trooper from The Old Republic game or Shae Viszla in this line.  I also suspect that possibility that we'll get Galen Marek and Darth Nihilus again this way.

Nope, they were still part of the "bodies of water" code names - Lando was code named Antarctica; IG-11 was Huron. (ROTJ Emperor = Erie, Teebo = Ontario).

Glad to be wrong on that count!  The pessimism that has set in because of the way things have been the last few years wears on you.  It would be great if these were 7 completely new figures.  I guess we might learn more during the event next month.

So Yakface is reporting 17 new TVC codenames and three convention exclusives.

Let the speculation begin!

I'm thinking that the 17 could break down into waves like this:

3 x Walmart exclusive Original 96 figures
4 x Reissue figures
2 x waves of mainline release figures (5 figures per wave)

As for the convention exclusives?  I haven't seen a tremendous amount of original thinking from Hasbro, so I'm thinking this:
1 x TVC Special 3-pack
1 x Black Series special release -Kenner deco on a 40th Anniversary  black & silver card
1 x Black Series deluxe type of figure.

As for my wishlist for this type of rollout?

3 x Original 96:
-Han Solo (Star Wars)
-Momaw Nadon (Hammerhead)
-Yoda (The Empire Strikes Back)

4 x Reissues
-VC31 - Obi-Wan Kenobi (Attack Of The Clones)
-VC34 - Jango Fett (Attack Of The Clones)
-VC115 - Darth Vader - Emporer's Wrath (Return Of The Jedi)
-VC106 - Nien Nunb (Return Of The Jedi)

New Wave 1
-Din Djarin - Heir to Mandalore (The Mandalorian) - with Dark Saber, Beskar staff & removable helmet
-Dark Trooper (The Mandalorian)
-Bo-Katan Kryze (The Mandalorian)
-Baze Malbus (Rogue One)
-Cassian Andor - Jedha (Rogue One)

New Wave 2
-Boba Fett - Re-armored (The Mandalorian / The Book of Boba Fett)
-Fennec Shand (The Mandalorian / The Book of Boba Fett)
-Ben Solo (The Rise of Skywalker)
-Emporer Palpatine (Return Of The Jedi)
-Sim Aloo (Return Of The Jedi)

Convention Exclusive Special 3-pack (pure fan service here) - Boba Fett
-Boba Fett (The Empire Strikes Back) - based on the new ROTJ sculpt
-Boba Fett (The Mandalorian) - Tatooine Nomad with gaffi stick
-Boba Fett (The Mandalorian) - Re-armored

I'm hopeful that Disney is collaborating with Hasbro and showing them material from The Book of Boba Fett and that by Christmas we may have some figures from that series.

They managed to get Falcon and the Winter Soldier figures out along with that series, hopefully they can do the same with Book of Boba.

Only difference is that the Marvel Legends team at Hasbro seems passionate about the brand and at least know enough to come across believably as fans of the brand.

For Star Wars we're stuck with Marketing Turd Patrick.  >:(

Patrick always has a display shelf filled only with the latest product in a room that has no other decorations save for the small bookcase and his desk and as soon as the stream is over, he burns the Star Wars products with the leaves in his back yard.

Way back in the late 90s I applied for both a Kenner and a Lucasfilm product manager role for Star Wars.  What I wouldn't have given to have landed either of those jobs.

It kills me to think about all the people that are passionate about Star Wars that could do such a good job in that role, or at least act as a consultant to the bean counters like Patrick who would rather give us Christmas themed repaints of Black Series figures.

Patrick makes watching a Hasbro Star Wars livestream about as exciting as going to the DMV.  There's zero passion there.
