Just went back and ordered a couple AT-ST drivers. I probably need a couple somewhere.

I actually just got around to comparing this Paploo with the Legacy Collection one, and man, they look really different. It's almost like a whole new Ewok, rather than a repack. I'm hoping we get some pleasant surprises with Leia (but I'm not expecting much more than the new head)

I have issues with this version of Paploo.   It’s SUPPOSED to be Paploo.  In reality, it’s a repaint of the TVC Lumat with a headdress like Paploo and different accessories.

It seems quaint that Hasbro is paying homage to an error from 1983 by keeping the original Kenner cardback art error.  Just like back then the Ewok in that photo is actually Romba, and not Paploo.

Personally, I like the previous release of Paploo.  He’s one of the Ewoks that had a very distinct face, especially the teeth.  The Legacy Collection version nailed that, along with the height.

Hasbro has confirmed a few times it's just the head/helmet that are getting upgraded on Leia, not much hope for any body changes.

Yeah, I agree with you that it is kind of an odd choice to repaint the VC104 Lumat figure as Paploo instead of just using the existing Legacy Collection Paploo.  I guess they wanted to upgrade the articulation to the newest Ewok Body, but you're right that the face is just lacking something because of it.

I lucked into a set of these today (Thanks again, Hasbro Star Wars PR team! :)).

Planning to open them up tonight after my "at home" work day is done...

Very cool of them. Let us know how you think the real deco AT-ST driver compares to the original release. I vowed not to buy reissues but I'm a liar (and some of the others were really nice).

It will be nice to get him, but, ugh, that is a bad (none capitalized) sculpt and needs to be retired.  The Disney build-a-droid is so superior.

Did they specifically say that the Death Star Droid was the TLC sculpt?  I missed some things during the livestream.

I did catch the bit about the molded on helmet with Luke.  I think it's fine, personally.  And you have to expect that some people will do some head swaps if they REALLY want to display Luke without the helmet.  But if only Hasbro would release a TVC speeder bike to go along with the Leia and Luke releases!

The Tusken Raider looks good.  And it's good to see that they've updated it from the VTSC release.  I can appreciate the need to improve the elbows.  With Tusken Raiders turning up in The Mandalorian I think Hasbro just had to get them back into the line.  It looks like they might have beefed up the Gaffi stick, too.  Maybe that's a sign that Hasbro is working on a Nomad Boba Fett?  Because him using the Gaffi stick in The Mandalorian made for some fantastic fight scenes.

They specifically said it was an updated paint job on a previously released figure.

They gave him ball jointed elbows too, which is awesome. I'll pick up a few.

I like the Tusken.  I will try for multiple of him.

The Death Star droid looks nice, even if it isn't vac-metalized.

The Luke looks ok, don't like the non-removable helmet, but perhaps I could pick up another Jedi Luke and head-swap it.
This is the way.

I have spoken.

They gave the tusken new elbows?

I’m def down for Luke and DSD...  the Tusken if he has new arms too but I didn’t think he was changed at all.
