$10? Wow.
Questions:
- Is this going to be a mini-pack like they did with the Porgs a couple years ago?
- Is this EE exclusive (I assume not)

Yes, mini-box like the Porgs.
- Is this EE exclusive (I assume not)
Not EE exclusive. Should be everywhere next Spring/Summer. (Like the Porgs were.)
*Updated the post with the full Hasbro press release. Hasbro also confirmed that places like Walmart and Target, etc will be selling this.
-
Cue the 3D printed space cribs on eBay!
Looking forward to this release. They should put together a whole Mando wave.
-
I'm fine with $10. Packed with another figure or his pod for $20 or $22 would be better though
-
I never saw Porgs in person so I have no clue what became of those, but I'm wondering if this will still be popular enough by next year to sell for $10
-
I'd say the plush stuff is what has to worry about the delay with the casual fan. 1.5" fig is selling to the all in collector today or a year from now
-
This is now, finally, In Stock at HTS. I was able to order it with Free Shipping courtesy of my Premium membership extension, so only $10 +tax. :)
Kicking off Star Wars Day right!
-
My card has been charged for the Child by Hasbro Pulse. Just waiting on a shipping notification now.

I got mine from Dorkside over the weekend. Surprised at how small it is!

I ordered one because I thought it would be cute to have at my desk... am I just remembering the show wrong or did they get the scale wrong?! I feel like this thing would fit right in with the 3.75" stuff.
-
Got mine today it is crazy small. It feels just a little too big next to 3.75" figures, but also too small next to 6" for me. Then I went back and looked through photo stills from the show and he really is that small. He's roughly the size of the Mando's helmet and fits in that Biker Scout's pouch - I can't imagine how tiny a 3.75" version will/would be though.
-
Yeah, until further notice I’m just putting him with the 3.75” figures.
-
I remember very early on people saying he'd be about an inch in this scale so when they kept showing 1.1" I was not surprised.
-
Got my shipping notice earlier this evening...should be here by Monday!

I'd guess they would have to make it permanently sculpted into the hover-crib as an accessory... or use an old Micro Machines Yoda.
-
I finally got around to opening this little bugger the other day. Very cute and well sculpted.
I don't have a problem with his micro-size, but do have a problem with his articulation and accessories. He can't really move his arms or hold his accessories, and dang is that ball tiny.
Maybe instead they should have provided swappable arms with the ball molded in to his hand, or different accessories like the Biker Scout pouch or the hover crib.
-
I could see the Child and hover crib going for more like $20 as part of the regular line. Given his popularity, we were lucky to get this at $10.

Been seeing that there is a variant of The Child hitting retail stores, with the collar and cuffs of its robe having a different paint job (slightly lighter beige). Guess I have to track this one down.

Saw this too...right after I found some hanging on the pegs at Target and didn't know to check. >:(

Thanks for the tip on this! I had passed him by a few times not realizing there was a difference so I had to scramble a little to track one down but I got him this morning, and this is a cool, legit variant. Looks better than the original for sure.
-
I just grabbed one today. I'm just assuming my older one is the other variant
-
Very noticeable difference. Almost looks like they just forgot to add paint apps to the first release.
-
I've seen both versions in the wild over the last week. Local grocery chain is selling Black Series figures now, and they had Dooku and Bly along with a bunch of original Child figures. Then today at Walmart I found the newer variant with the painted robe. So I'm not sure if both are shipping or if my local grocery chain has been sitting on these for a while.
-
I noticed a picture from a local group recent WM pick up that looked like the non painted version. So I guess make sure before you buy
-
I'm eager to see this newer version. Has anyone seen any comparison photos on IG?
-
Here are some snaps I took the other day. Left is the original, right is the new variant.

Finally found one in-store. Very cute.
-
That’s a pretty distinct difference! I’m going to have to see if I can find the variation now.
-
Ha! I didn't know about that variation and I happened to have both.
-
I found the variation yesterday while I was out at WalMart. Got one for myself and one for my kid.
-
Had to make a quick trip to Walmart over lunch and they had a fresh case of Baby Yoda figures, but this time it was the "original" variant without the painted collar and cuffs. This was the same Walmart I found the variant at a few weeks back, so I guess both variants are shipping everywhere, and it's not a running change.
