They consider an audience numbering in the thousands "intimate".

I'd be torn on paying to go to this because it could be entertaining, but $15 for 45 minutes with 2000 other fans is a little steep.  Fortunately I don't have to make that decision because I'll already be on my way home by the time this starts.

I land Wednesday afternoon at 2:46 PM, and take off Saturday night at 7:51 PM.

I too am staying at the Wilshire Grand.  By myself this time apparently since none of the GalacticHunter regulars are making the trek out to L.A.

Are any of you meeting for breakfast (more like a midnight snack) or planning a time to get in line on Thursday morning?

The hang-gliding Ewok was Felix Silla, who is better known for portraying Twiki on Buck Rogers.  He'll be at C4, but not at Pittsburgh.  No Ewoks this year as far as I know.

Thanks Jesse, I've been kind of remiss about posting updates, sorry about that.

An Ewok I've not heard of is listed...

We have an Ewok coming???  That's news to me!  lol  What's the name?

Pittsburgh Comicon - April 27-29, 2007

Still a few months away, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up, as the first Star Wars guest has been added to this year's line-up -  Wayne Pygram  - who made a cameo appearance as "Young" Govenor Tarkin, in Revenge of the Sith.

I've never seen Mr. Pygram at a con, so I'm definitely looking forward to meeting him.  Hopefully there will be several more Star Wars guests to follow, and I know there will be lots of Star Wars programming.  So if you can't, or don't want to, make the trip to L.A. for C4 in May, plan a trip to the 'Burgh for your fill of springtime Star Wars goodness.

I just wanted to let you all know that I finally got around to mailing the savings bonds to Aidan today.  It's been a hectic few months for me, and I apologize for dropping the ball (or at least holding onto it for so long) like this.

I sent the bonds to Aidan care of Shannon's dad. I included the following note to Mr. O'Neill explaining what the meaning of the package was:

I also sent Aidan a Christmas card in the package, along with an Episode III electronic book that plays various sound bites and sound effects when you push the buttons, and a Christmas ornament based on the C-3PO & R2-D2 holiday image that a friend of mine made (the Yoda one was for me).

I'm hoping Aidan will hold onto the card by which to help him remember how much Shannon meant to so many people.

I think the only available for us was the Millenium (Falcon) Biltmore....  it's like $250 a night or some such crap..... (oy my wallet.... now how can I ever pay for stuff AT C4?)

Oboewan
That stinks.  It looks like they may have done the same thing they did for C3 - opened blocks of rooms gradually.  I just looked at the hotel list at it looks like rooms are available at most of the hotels.  Some are sold out for certain nights (mainly Friday night), but others have rooms available for the 23rd-28th.

38
Done.  That was easier than I had ever hoped it would be.

That's a relief.

BTW, I booked my room at the Wilshire Grand.  I was able to book Wednesday & Thursday nights last week for around $139/night tax included.  It cost me $179+ tax for Friday night.  So much for great convention rates.

39
I'm in.   :D

ETA:  And it looks like I might be in the market for a roommate(s) as it looks like the non-SoCal GH contingent is going to be mighty small this time around.

I'm planning to arrive Wednesday and stay until Saturday with a red-eye flight home Saturday night.  So, I'm only planning to book a room for three nights (Wed, Thurs, & Fri).

I actually already have a reservation for Wednesday and Thursday, but all the rooms at this particular hotel were blocked for Friday night, so I'm going to try to snag that night tomorrow.

So George Lucas decides to donate $175 million to USC, which may seem very generous unless you consider that it came straight from our wallets!
Not mine.  I steal all my Star Wars crap.

Jim Ward doesn't even know the difference between Star Wars and Star Trek.
