Broke down and ordered Vic Rattlehead because I was worried he would sell out. He arrived today, I love owning this!

Anyone brave enough to try a random lot of 5 loose? I'm thinking about it.

I’m pretty sure they’re factory rejects that some employee is swiping and selling cheap.  You might get junk.

I've gotten loose lots of GI JOE and Star Wars over the years. Some are rejects (mismatched parts, sloppy or missing paint ops) others appear to be overproduction or something.  It's part of the gamble just like the randomness. I've decided to pass on those for now.

I haven't been buying ReAction but did order the Clear MOTU wave and then Battle Cat and Panthor.  Then I went over to RS to see what people were saying about the new stuff and saw that Super 7 lost the MOTU license.  So that's it unless something drastic changes down the road...  While I'm not unhappy to see that they won't be cranking out 10 variations of the same figure with those, I'm bummed that they didn't get to some of the unmade characters.

I was going to ask if you had bit the bullet on those clear figs, Rob. Sucks about them losing the license but it sounds like it wasn’t their choice. Definitely gonna save you some money this year though.

I made just one order over the holidays and picked up the newest Universal Monsters figures, but the price is keeping me away from the rest of the stuff I want right now. (They Live, etc)

Yeah, I did.  I don't like the new price but my MOTU set is complete as far as I can tell all the way down to the blind buys, protos, B&W's, every weird repaint, and Mat at Arms with and without the mustache... so I kept it that way.

I'm wondering if the Battle Cat and Panthor sets are going to become super rare now... they've already sent out an email saying "limited quantities available" which makes me think they got one good run of them in before the plug got pulled and the online retailers aren't actually going to get them.  Pure speculation, but it seems like they might be more limited than I'd have expected.

Like you, I've walked it way back though.  Here's the list of what I would have bought that as of now I haven't...

They Live - Ghoul
They Live - Female Ghoul
They Live - Black and White Ghoul
They Live - Black and White Female Ghoul
Megadeth - Vic
Transformers - Soundwave
Transformers - Starscream
Transformers - Bumblebee
Transformers - Jazz
Transformers - Megatron
Transformers - Optimus Prime
Universal Monsters - Invisible Man
Universal Monsters - Bride of Frankenstein
Universal Monsters - Dracula
Universal Monsters - Phantom
Universal Monsters - Frankenstein
Universal Monsters - Creature
Universal Monsters - Glow in the Dark Dracula
Universal Monsters - Glow in the Dark Bride of Frakenstein
Universal Monsters - Glow in the Dark Frankenstein
Universal Monsters - Glow in the Dark Creature
Ninja Turtles - Bebop
Ninja Turtles - Rocksteady
Robocop - Glow in the Dark
Robocop - Glow in the Dark Battle Damage
Robocop - Glow in the Dark Emil Antonowsky
Pee-Wee - Pee-Wee Herman
Pee-Wee - Captain Carl
Pee-Wee - Conky
Pee-Wee - Chairry
Pee-Wee - Magic Screen
Pee-Wee - Randy and Billy
My Pet Monster
My Pet Monster - Football

So that's 34 figures I'd have normally bought at $15 a piece. Meaning, if they'd just kept charging $15 each, they'd have made $510 (forget tax and shipping since they don't keep that) from me that this move has cost them.  I suppose making 20% more per figure means that they'll make more money as long as sales don't dip by more than 20%... who knows?

I'd like to keep collecting these, but I'm not doing it at that price.  If I can get good deals later on, or buy used lots, or something else I'll still pick stuff up, but at around $22 each shipped, I'm going to be extremely selective.  It's a shame too, because some of the lines they have upcoming are really exciting...

Broke down and placed another order with these guys. New Phantom Starkiller is not going to last long, so I grabbed that, the 3 new blue carded Alien figs and the Legacy of Brutality Misfits Fiend.

Still like seven more figures out there I want from them but I’m determined to hold out for another sale.

I've bought a few things... Battlecat and Panthor, the last MOTU wave.  I did just buy the White Vinyl Misfits Fiend which was an absurd $23 shipped...

I bought the Transformers wave because I found a seller on eBay doing $90 shipped for all 6.  I also pre-ordered ED-209 from BBTS, because for some reason they were able to ship it to me for $10 less than Super 7 was...  ::)

But that's it since they raised the price.  Here's my updated list of stuff I'd have bought if they hadn't raised the price:

Aliens - Alien Warrior (Midnight Black)
Aliens - Alien Warrior (Dusk Brown)
Aliens - Alien Warrior (Nightfall Blue)
Beavis and Butthead - Burger World Beavis
Beavis and Butthead - Burger World Butthead
Beavis and Butthead - Beavis
Beavis and Butthead - Butthead
Cabinet of Dr. Caligari:  Dr. Caligari
Ghost - Papa III (Black Series)
Iron Maiden Wave 02 - Piece of Mind
Iron Maiden Wave 02 - Number of the Beast
Iron Maiden Wave 02 - Twilight Zone
Iron Maiden Wave 02 - Stranger in a Strange Land
Iron Maiden Wave 02 - Somewhere in Time
Iron Maiden Wave 02 - Live After Death
Iron Maiden Wave 02 - Flight of Icarus
Megadeth - Vic
Misfits - Jerry Only (Black Series)
Motorhead - Warpig (Black Series)
My Pet Monster
My Pet Monster - Football
Pee-Wee - Pee-Wee Herman
Pee-Wee - Captain Carl
Pee-Wee - Conky
Pee-Wee - Chairry
Pee-Wee - Magic Screen
Pee-Wee - Randy and Billy
Robocop - Glow in the Dark
Robocop - Glow in the Dark Battle Damage
Robocop - Glow in the Dark Emil Antonowsky
They Live - Ghoul
They Live - Female Ghoul
They Live - Black and White Ghoul
They Live - Black and White Female Ghoul
TMNT - Bebop
TMNT - Rocksteady
TMNT - Shredder
TMNT - Foot Soldier
Toxic Avenger - Acid Rain Toxie
Toxic Crusaders - Junkyard
Toxic Crusaders - Dr. Killemoff
Toxic Crusaders - Headbanger
Toxic Crusaders - Major Disaster
Toxic Crusaders - Radiation Ranger
Toxic Crusaders - Toxie
Universal Monsters - Invisible Man
Universal Monsters - Bride of Frankenstein
Universal Monsters - Dracula
Universal Monsters - Phantom
Universal Monsters - Frankenstein
Universal Monsters - Creature
Universal Monsters - Glow in the Dark Dracula
Universal Monsters - Glow in the Dark Bride of Frakenstein
Universal Monsters - Glow in the Dark Frankenstein
Universal Monsters - Glow in the Dark Creature

That's 55 figures I've skipped and will keep an eye out for good deals on.

Sigh...so much good stuff on display at TF. There’s literally no way I can NOT buy that Venom figure immediately when it comes out.

The new Universal Monsters stuff just blows me away too. Damn you, Super 7!  :D

Just got a solicitation for Super 7 Red Dawn figure two packs.  These look awesome!  I love that movie and hope they do a full set of them.  Going to hold off on the first four a bit though as they're listed at $30 each.    ::)

That’s actually a bargain price for those guys now, sadly.

I wasn’t super enthused for these but they came out looking so great I will probably pick them up now.

I have a pretty good backlog of stuff going but I did pick up the most recent Alien figures. Once again they sent me one that randomly had no punch. That seems to happen with every order now.  >:(

Super 7 actually had a pretty good sale going this weekend for Father’s Day...20% off your entire order. Brought the price down to under $15 a figure, which is what I have been waiting for, so I placed a big order for the Venom and Anthrax figures and all the new Aliens humans.

Present to myself!

Since the price jumped, I really planned on being out on these figures after the He-Man/Battle Cat set. However, I recently had a BBTS order ready to ship and tossed a Transformers Soundwave figure in there for the heck of it. Not sure why, but I really liked the look of this figure. Things like this and the Ninja Turtles have always been tempting, due to nostalgia and awesome package art.

The only ReAction figure I've bought from them since February was the last Fiend to complete the set.  $23 after tax and shipping is just more than I care to pay for this line.  I did find an eBay auction with the first Transformers wave a few months ago that I bought, but that list of figures I've skipped on that I normally would have picked up is extremely lengthy at this point.  It's a shame, I really like a lot of this stuff, but I just can't justify it anymore.

I'll probably buy Army of Darkness if I can find a good lot on eBay, but I'm never buying another $18 figure direct from Super 7 again.
