New ARC Commander Havoc (https://www.walmart.com/ip/SW-VINTAGE-BACKFIELD/1166789468)exclusive from Wal-Mart goes live (in theory) this morning at 10AM EST.

I can’t wait to find out if this thing is really $16.97 or $19.99 like Yakface says,..the suspense! :D
-
Can’t wait for it to actually go live. I’ve been sitting here refreshing this thing for 7 minutes and I know that the minute I stop, it’ll go live and sell out and that’ll be that.
How hard is it to automate something like this?
-
It was live briefly last night. Hopefully there is still stock left as I missed it last night and have been mashing the reload key for awhile now.
-
Seriously? Also what the hell.
Between this and then sending me an imperial gunner instead of the lone stormtrooper I ordered… I’m sick of dealing with Walmart exclusives.
-
I have really come to believe that Walmart spaces out the time when these preorders go live in an effort to not have to offer free shipping. Because each individual item that has gone up for preorder is priced below their $35 threshold for free shipping.
-
Any sign of this thing yet? I’m only checking every five or ten minutes now so if it goes fast…
-
LIVE NOW
-
Got it. What a pain in the ass.
-
Got one. Now I can put my Walmart exclusive Commander Havoc with the rest of my Smashed Card collection... that is, if they don't cancel the order first.
-
Got one as well. All promo pics show him with the helmet on so I guess it doesn’t come off??
-
I got mine too, now I just have to hope it doesn’t arrive completely trashed. :D
-

I’d think it’s a pretty safe bet that it’s a slight retool and repaint of the six other ARC troopers they’ve released in the last two years and all of their helmets came off.
-
What is different about this one vs. what they've already released?
-
Well...****.
-
I ended up passing on this one early today because I didn't want to pay shipping or add a bunch of other stuff. By the time I changed my mind, it was too late. Oh well. Kind of crazy this figure was not something that Hasbro announced at SDCC or HasCon. I felt like this came out of nowhere...

From what I can tell it kind of looks like the headsculpt might be cast in a solid black color and glued into the helmet (like we saw on the VC211 Elite Squad Trooper).
-
I was out in the woods and completely missed this one - both the announcement and the pre-order.
Maybe that's a blessing - I might be OK with missing the 4th 501st Legion deco repaint of this sculpt if they are asking $17 plus shipping.

At Pulse Con they did say that there were some items coming to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Clone Wars being a thing (https://youtu.be/NiUvDeLNahQ?t=14959) but had nothing to announce yet for figures. I guess they wanted to leave this to Walmart's collector con thingy to reveal.
You can definitely expect more Clone Wars figures (from both series) coming with that "Clone Wars 20" logo on the card. Not sure if the whole line is Walmart exclusive or not though.

Hopefully not all clones. ::)

Agree. During the prequel and animation Clone Wars hey-day, I burned out on the troops. The prices a lot of the later clones commanded years later is a good indication many skipped them at first like I did. Hopefully Hasbro is more selective with their character choice and doesn ’t continue with their barrage of clone re-deco.
I was on the fence with Havoc, and with it being $17, surprised pre-orders sold out the first day.
-
The number of clones back in 2008 - 2012 was substantial. And even now it's pretty intense.
But if Hasbro REALLY wants to celebrate the Clone Wars? Then how about a Vintage Collection Asajj Ventress???? Or Savage Opress?
-
Add in Cad Bane with TODO-360, which can be recycled for Cad Bane in TBOBF and Bad Batch.
-
Or…how about the already tooled and sculpted Pong Krell figure that was canceled at the end of the animated line? ;D
Seriously, this guy is long overdue.

Or how about just new Clone Wars non-clone figures in general? There are so many more important CW figures we could use in realistic style. Four of my favorites have been in the last few posts.

Definitely hoping to see some non-clones and non-repacks included in that sub-line. It's interesting Hasbro seems to be including both Filoni & (hopefully) Tartakovsky Clone Wars under the "CW 20" anniversary. I'm okay with that, but I do hope we get a mix.

non-clone Clone Wars figures? Next you're going to want non-Mandalorians from The Mandalorian!
-
I feel like this is a monkey paw type situation - you guys are asking for more non-Clone Clone Wars characters and then Hasbro is going to answer that call with like TVC updated versions of these guys rather than something from either of the animated series-

But I really do love that Yoda -- so glad he isn't wearing that sand colored robe. I don't want an update, but that is my go to Clone Wars Yoda for sure!
-
Ah! Bandito Yoda rides again!!!

Just saw one of the Q&A from last week and Hasbro did say the helmet is removable.
-
I could have told you that. Because the body for Havoc is exactly the same as what we got in the ARC Troopers 3-pack, the individual releases of each of those troopers, as well as the three Gaming Greats ARC Troopers. Each one has a removable helmet. The only differences in the sculpts is probably with Jesse's bald head!
-
I noticed the same body. I am relieved (worry rating of toy hobby level) that Hasbro didn't reduce cost by gluing a helmet on an unpainted head.

Nice, that's good to hear.

So is Havoc just a repackaging of a figure we've already received? Or is it a new kitbash with a slightly new helmet? Or a new head sculpt underneath the helmet?
Sounds like you're saying its a kitbash with the same body and Jesse's head?
Not sure I need this anymore.
-
All of the recent ARC Troopers have been built on the same buck. The paint apps are different. And they might have different head sculpts or helmets. But that's where the differences begin and end. Here's each ARC Trooper release that shares that sculpt:
-ARC Trooper 3-pack (with Fives, Echo & Jesse)
-Fives
-Echo
-ARC Trooper (Umbra Operative)
-ARC Trooper (Lambent Seeker)
-ARC Trooper (Gaming Greats BBTS exclusive)
-Jesse
...and now Havoc.
I agree, this is getting old. I get that it's "THE CLONE WARS". But there were more participants in it beyond Clones.

And now Colt... nine time. NINE times. #ferris

Anyway, if you're into ARC Troopers, Colt will be available for pre-order Wednesday, 11/9 at 1pm ET exclusively at Walmart. $16.99 MSRP

Well played, sir!
I actually like the design for Colt - despite the NINE TIMES that Hasbro has regurgitated this sculpt. But where was this head sculpt when Hasbro released that TVC Bad Batch Rex?
However, I am fully expecting Hasbro to now release ARC Commander Blitz as well. Those three ARC troopers were prominent in the Clone Wars episode where the Separatists attacked Kamino. Which begs the question - where are some of the Separatists in the #clonewars20 beat?
-
Just went live!
Picked up two.
-
Free shipping when ordering just one. I like that.
-
Yeah, the free shipping takes a little of the sting out of that price. I picked up one as well.
-
Walmart usually charges unless the total is $35+, so that was a pleasant surprise.
I do like that the head is different. I can't tell if it's new or a re-use of Boba Fett.
-
I do like that the head is different. I can't tell if it's new or a re-use of Boba Fett.
I think it is just a repaint of the Morak/Tatooine Fett head. Looking at the image and the figure side-by-side the sculpt seems to line up. It does at least look good with the shaved head paint. Like Nick, I really wish they would have used this headsculpt on the Bad Batch Captain Rex release.
Hard to get really excited for this one, I ended up getting two since it is at least "regular" price (even if that regular price is the new $16.99...) I still like the Clones and ARCs, and am totally falling prey to these gimmick releases. I had missed the SDCC version, so this only feels like the SIXTH time I've seen this sculpt. And I have at least liked most of the decor versions. They had better start putting some Separatists and aliens into the line for them to fight though, or I'm going to lose interest real fast in future clone releases of any kind.

Everyone excited for Hasbro to continue to milk this sculpt? Sounds like ARC Captain Blitz will be joining the others sometime soon (https://twitter.com/yak_face/status/1602619720657780737).
-
I blame George Lucas in part for envisioning a clone army and then allowing them to make and give those identical clones so much variety in uniform and personality and naming.
There should have only ever needed to be one of them. :)
-
FFS...
Colt, Havoc and Blitz should have been a 3-pack. This is ridiculous.
-
I'll try to pick this up, but if I miss it I won't be upset.
-
Wow, only a month after the last two? I am skipping the preorder here. This one might just be the breaking point for me on these repaints. I may pick this up if I ever see it in person or if it is available elsewhere, but these kinds of repaints are definitely making collecting less fun.
-
I’ m not yet at the point I was 13-14 or however many years ago when any clone variation released gave me the same stomach churning, puke-inducing sensation as taking a shot of vinegar. Even bland, these deco changes are nice. Non-mainline upcharge in pricing, not so much.
-
The more I think about these $17 ARC repaints, the less I'm excited about them. The novelty has worn off for me. I think instead of pre-ordering Blitz tomorrow, I'm actually going to cancel my Colt pre-order.
I'll keep 501st colored Havoc to go with Jesse/Echo/Fives and then be done with these ARC Trooper repaints for the time being.

I've been having these same thoughts as well. I'm not really attached to most of these named clones that weren't in the movies anyway.
-
Jayson is reporting that Blitz will now be priced at $18.93.
Hasbro really isn't making it difficult to walk away from collecting.
-
It's amazing how inconsistent the pricing is and how little there is that's a regular retail release.
Just gie us some waves of new figures for $14.99 for ****'s sake.
Maybe that's the plan all along, get us to really appreciate $14.99 or $15.99 while making some extra money along the way.
-

They really are... I'm pretty much 3/4 of the way out the door. I might just keep my eyes out for the stuff I really want from now on and forget the rest. If the hobby isn't fun anymore, why do it?
-
I was able to add Blitz to my list on the Walmart app. In there the price shows up as $16.97. It also showed me that over 250 people were viewing that particular figure.
-
Done. And $16.97 each.
-
I picked up Blitz, whew.
-
I picked up Blitz, whew.
At least the shipping is free.

Right! Plus this is one I will likely never see in a store so preorder is the safest bet.
-
The price tag is less offensive with the free shipping... so that's something. I still wish these would just show up in stores for $13.99 and be available enough that they didn't HAVE to mail them to everyone.
-
I'll keep 501st colored Havoc to go with Jesse/Echo/Fives and then be done with these ARC Trooper repaints for the time being.
Saw a credit card charge earlier tonight and then got a shipping notice tonight for Havoc. Should be here by Monday.
-
I got the notice, too. And my Havoc order is actually supposed to arrive today!
-
I never got a notice but sure enough in my account it says arriving Saturday.
-
I hope you guys have better luck than I did…mine arrived today in the standard Walmart bubble mailer and was all busted up to hell. The bubble was literally falling off the card it was so smashed up. Totally unsalvageable for a MOC collector like myself. >:(
-
So my credit card got compromised last week and I just got the new one... I'm updating all these pre-orders now and I just got to Walmart, where I have Colt and Blitz pre-orders.
Turns out you can't update payment information on Walmart preorders... at least that's what they're telling me. There's even an 'edit payment' button on the order page, but it doesn't work.
Customer service chat isn't getting me anywhere: "Since the order was already placed, we no longer have the option to change the payment method for this one, Robert."
All of this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard and I just wanted to bitch about it..
I was able to place a new order for Colt and cancel the existing one, but Blitz is out of stock, so I guess I'm just stuck with no Blitz preorder now, since the existing one will be declined.
Maybe they'll let me update the payment when the charge fails later...
-
I ran into the same issue in something last year, with both Walmart & Target. It’s immensely frustrating. Sorry to hear that Rob. I just don’t get how companies of that size don’t allow that. Things like this are is part of why I never shop at Walmart outside of exclusive Star Wars purchases.
On topic with the ARC Troopers, I had originally skipped preorders for 2 out of 3 (FOMO got me on the 3rd) and wasn’t planning on buying any of them. I made an impromptu stop at Walmart last week (for maybe the first time in 6 months) and they happened to have 6 Havocs. FOMO got me again and now I just need to get either Colt or Blitz.
-
I had the same problem Rob, although through some magic Walmart still shipped my Havoc. I guess they were able to work with my credit card company to tie my old card number to my new card number. I'm hoping they can do that with my other two pre-orders.
I totally agree that it is madness in 2023 that Walmart won't let you update your payment information.
-
I had the same problem when I moved. I ended up cancelling my orders and immediately trying to re-order them. I managed to get most of my items re-ordered.
-
I was in Walmart and saw two Havocs on the pegs. I decided pick up one.
-
I came across a peg full of Havocs and picked up another one. If only for trade bait!
-
He hasn’t hit the East Coast yet but I sure need one to replace the smashed up piece of crap they sent me through the mail…does Brickseek or Popfindr or any of that stuff work for him?
-
Blitz is available to preorder again if anyone was in a similar boat as me.
So that’s one problem fixed… now if they ever actually ship these ARC’s…
-
now if they ever actually ship these ARC’s…
It is surprising considering they're so similar. You would think they would have come out pretty close to each other.
-
Beats me. Target is taking equally long on those three Fett variants. Makes
Me wonder if it’s a Hasbro issue.
-

You would think that its a Hasbro issue.
I'd expect all new figures to take longer, but you would think all these repaints/kitbashes could get cranked out quicker.
-
I did just get a text today and email today that my Colt's have shipped.
-
I did just get a text today and email today that my Colt's have shipped.
Nice. I haven't got a notice but I checked the web site and mine have shipped and will be here Friday.
Blitz still says mid-October.
-
I got an email that my Entertainment Earth order had shipped and got excited (since there are so many preorders). Then I opened the email and saw it was Colt...I mean I guess it's fine, but honestly, I'm pretty sick of that Arc Trooper figure at this point, so it was truly underwhelming.
-
My Colt says 07/29.
Blitz says 10/12.
🤷♂️
-

Ditto. I did not pre-order Colt or Blitz and haven't found myself experiencing any FOMO yet. $40 saved to waste on other things later...
-
I got Colt today, and miraculously it was relatively undamaged despite having been shipped in their usual flimsy bubble envelope.
Still need to replace the Havoc I received that was crushed to bits.
-
I got my Colt today. Came in a nice undamaged box that actually fit the card! Upon opening, the bubble is coming off the card (card is pristine, though).

I, too, got mine in a bubble mailer yesterday, not a box. I wasn't quite so lucky and my cards had a few heavy creases on them.
-
My Colts showed up in a bubble mailer, thanks to the thicker cards, one was near perfect, the other had a slight bend.
-
Blitz is still available for preorder. (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Star-Wars-The-Vintage-Collection-ARC-Commander-Blitz-Star-Wars-The-Clone-Wars-3-75-Action-Figure/1341590276?athbdg=L1102&from=/search)
I don't think I've ever seen this happen before.
-
Got my Colt today.
Hooray.
There's nothing bad or exciting about it. It's fine.
-
Just got a shipping notice for Blitz.
-
Same.
-
Me too. Still holding out hope Havoc will show up in stores so I can pick a decent one up MOC.
-
My Blitz showed up today, in a bubble mailer ::)
But surprisingly its pretty darn minty. It always amazes me when you get something sent in a bubble mailer and it comes through unscathed and not looking like an elephant sat on it.
The last couple of Amazon shipments I've received in cardboard boxes have had the figures jammed in a box that is too small with the cards all curled up.
-
Mine also showed up in a bubble mailer. Bubble was bent in a corner but I was going to open it, so no big deal.
The card is in great shape...that thicker card stock is awesome!
-
I got mine in the bubble mailer, too. The cards and bubbles were in surprisingly good condition. The only visible defect was the blister imprint on the filmout section of the cards.
-
My bubble mailer didn't fare as well. Both bubbles were creased and slightly smushed and the cards were warped and lightly creased in a few spots.
It's probably not even worth the hassle of a return, given that the replacement will also just be shipped in a bubble mailer. I guess I'll look for a better one in-store and try to upgrade. ::)
