Thanks for the well wishes, guys! Well, Matt- I'm not trying to keep the boy a mystery, it's just that none of you know him, so there's not much point in going into too much detail. His name is Scott (quiet OCB), and  I can tell you that he's sweet, thoughtful, gorgeous, very intelligent and funny. And yep, he has a shaved head. ;)

The wedding will be the most private affair possible, just the two of us at city hall on Sept. 22nd (first day of Autumn), then we're going to Wisconsin for our honeymoon to enjoy the Autumn colors. We don't want caterers, invitations, family or any other people, expensive dresses and cakes, NO STRESS, just a simple occasion for us to enjoy, not fret over.

So, you will all be pleased to know that you were not individually left out, you all were! :)  Seriously, though, it was sweet of you guys to post some nice messages to me here.  In just a matter of weeks, you can all call me Carrie Wallis (Mrs. Wallis if you're nasty).

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! I'm alive and well, even though I haven't posted here in quite some time.  News on my end: I met an amazing man and I'll be getting married in three weeks.  Now doesn't somebody have some crazy graemlins to post?

I have allergies too, but I'm not fully admitting it to myself. I have Claritin on hand for when it gets bad.

I thought the premiere was fantastic, I'm so excited about this show. And yeah, I caught a huge Lynch vibe to the whole thing.

Manhattan, Las Vegas and London. I'll just happily toggle between those three cities for the rest of my life, thank you very much.  :)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Labor Day & What Are You Doing Today?
« on: September 2, 2003, 01:50 PM »
I had a great Labor Day. I was in Atlanta with Joe for Dragon Con, and we started off the day at about 1pm when he pierced me a couple, 2,3 times (he's a professional piercer, for those that don't know), then we went to a Chinese place for lunch-- and it turns out they had Japanese food there too, so I was very happy- had some Miso soup and an avocado roll. Then we shared a big, strong drink called a Scorpion bowl, where they give you two big straws and you drink it out of a flaming bowl. I was buzzed trying to find my way around the airport, but got on the plane finally, and found my way home.  :)

Back to reality, unfortunately. Whenever I go out of town, when I return my cat follows me around and screams at me for a good hour or so, it's her way of breaking me down so I give her more treats. It works every time.

I hear ya Carrie. I have only known Shane for a couple of yrs. He's a super guy & a great friend. Glad you 2 met up.  ;)
I'm sure when he gets back & settles in, he will have some stories from the Con to tell.  8)

Yeah, the Jolly Straightedge may have a tale or two.  :)

Yep, Dale, I met Shane Turgeon. He became an instant friend, he's my kind of people. I really wish he lived closer. Ah, well.   :(

Thanks for the warm wishes guys!!

Dragon Con was a ton of fun, and yeah, I did do a little drinking.  :P I'll have pictures to share soon. And I got severely spoiled with gifts by a certain significant other: A loose Ledy Tusken Raider (squeal!), a vintage Villains 3 pack boxed, and a carded ROTJ Raider.  Chris Georgoulias also gave me a vintage Tusken Raider mask. I made out like a bandit, big time.

Let's see..... We caught a great show by Cruxshadows at the convention, attended a very, uh.... entertaining collectors panel featuring Peter Mahew (why? Right, same question I asked myself) with the guys, saw the Kling On beauty pageant (which was great, because one very brawny female Kling On wouldn't leave John Alvarez alone), met Aria Giovanni, avoided certain death by the hands of SLT because he didn't show, and met a bunch of new people. The convention was a spectacle indeed, I'll definitely go back next year.
