I'm in again -- I've really enjoyed it the past few years.  It's been just as much fun to give as it has to receive.  :)  I've even had the pleasesure of being on both the giving and receiving end of our Canadian friends. ;)

Well, this defintiely needs to go to the "Out of Context" thread... ;D

Kudos to you.  How did he do this week?   ;D

I have yet to see the movie, so the name is spoiler IMO.   ;)

Go see it already! You know you want to.

I'm just waiting for the DVD at this point.   ;)

The new trailer has got me pumped up again.

They released the names of the first 6 episodes...only the sixth indicates who it is the main character is.

What new trailer?!  ???

It's call B'Omarr Monestary Assault except there is not one B'Omarr monk in the package. Why couldn't they just call this "Flying Stap Attack"?

Uhhhh....there was not one B'Omarr monk in the movie. :P

I have yet to see the movie, so the name is spoiler IMO.   ;)

Why don't they just call it "Star Wars Battle Pack #37" like they do with the comics?

The Legacy Collection / Re: 2008 UGH "1st Day of Issue" Promotion
« on: October 24, 2008, 10:00 PM »
I agree. Anyone who collects MOC and all MOC variations kind of deserve it.

Anyone who collects something you don't agree with deserves to have added hardship?  Not sure how that makes sense - if someone wants to collect something different from me, I'd say more power to them and good luck on your collection.

I picked up all of the non-reissued FDOI figures, but not their "regular" carded counterparts.  Like Mike, I found them pretty easily within a week or two, so it wasn't that hard to get them all.  It was also more than just the sticker, since they're on foil cards, but I just liked the look of them in general.

Oh, and the best UGH promotion was still the silver mini-figs, not the gold coins.   ;)

John offered up his extra Ares BAF arm to me and won't even take anything in return.  The world needs more people like this guy.  Thanks John!

Just want to add that anyone remotely considering this ought to join in.  I had a great time last year and actually got something that I really wanted to add to my collection.  Happy (early) Holidays!

Yes, we are the Secret Triumvirate of Global Domination (STD for short ;) ) and our minions across the world have been covertly destroying movies like Transformers, PT Star Wars, as well as having our hand in the outcome of the upcoming elections and Russia's invasion of Georgia. Also work with God on his acts, including, but not limited to wild fires, earthquakes, plagues, floods, eruptions, AIDs, etc.

I accidentally typed the letters M-o-s-t earlier, but meant to type L-e-a-s-t.

Damn it is hard commenting on this without giving the spoilers away.

I don't think it matters Ryan.  No one seems to care about this thread anyways.

Thor doesn't really need to be a great actor, IMHO.  I wouldn't recommend somebody with no acting experience like HHH, but the role certainly doesn't call for a thesp like Norton or Downey.  Thor's a god... he should be up there like Heston's Moses.

Know who would be fantastic?  Vinnie Jones.

I think Loki is the much more critical casting decision in that film.

Not sure I agree with that.  I would say that the person doesn't need to be a "well known" actor, but would be nice if they had good/great acting ability.  I thought Iron Man was spectacular and a big reason for its success was the actors they chose.  You can't just put someone who "looks the part" into the film and expect it be good.
