I STILL STILL STILL think the price increases on this stuff is outrageous.  I have no idea who manages pricing for these things, but they obviously have no idea what they're doing.  I help analyze pricing impact for CPG products and you would NEVER see food products take a 50% increase or more.  Do they honestly think that things like raising Marvel Legends from $10 to $15 won't have a big impact on sales!?  Sure, you'll still get some diehards, but not enough to support a line from what I've seen.  They'd be far better off raising the price something lower like 5-10% each year or growing by a buck with ever other wave.  Gradual pricing is expected, but these massive jumps in price just make you instantly feel like you're getting screwed.

Hey guys i just started getting into the marvel comics and toys. I've always loved the movies though and i was thinking about buying: Marvel Legends Face Off Twin Packs Captain America Vs. Red Skull Action Figure Set for $45.99 off of amazon and was just wondering if that's a good deal for the two or not?

This is for just one of them?  That's a horrible price.  I think it was just $20 retail.  To each his own, but there are other Cap and Skull figures you could get for less.  Just check Ebay.

Maybe.  You just can't call any of these games this year - just last week the Rams got their first win by beating the Redskins.

Its been an odd year for that.  Still can't get over the Browns destroying the Giants on Monday night.  Dallas is doubly in trouble since Felix Jones is out - Barber is good, but youc an't just run him all day long.

Don't speak Chinese (Manderin), but would guess that it is going to be about the same size as Masterpiece Megatron or about 13" tall.

There was an earlier post or description stating someone thought it would be even bigger given the added cost...

I found the Ares wave at our local WM yesterday (aside from Kang), so they are getting out there more now it appears.  At our store, they were just on one of the wire rack things towards the end of the aisle (right next to the endcaps).  I picked up Vision (missed the earlier one), Human Torch "Nova" variant (only "flamed on" Torch I have is the movie one), and the Scarlet Spidey (because, well, its a Spider-Man).  They were $10.44 each, which was nice after the $14.99 sting at Target lately.  Not too bad of figures overall, although I haven't had a chance to open them yet.

Any interest in trading or selling your extra BAF parts?  The only figure I want from this wave is Ares.   :-\

I got my shipping notice.  Looks like mine will arrive on Monday.

Got my shipping notice and reminder that this thing cost nearly $100.  UGH.

I think the Engineer is the first one to go around these parts.  I picked up a few to serve as commanders for my other DS gunners.

Pretty convenient that code expires just as lots of new stuff shows up. However, disc10 works, knocking off 10%. Not sure when that expires. It worked for me just now, picking up Ahsoka and Cody.

Not sure what stuff you're referring to.  They had Legacy Wave 3, latest line of legends, and the W2 Clone Wars figs when I placed my order.

New Hasbro Toy Shop coupon code- FALL20 for 20% off purchase.

Anyone know when this expires?

No idea, but it worked for me about a week or so ago.

Just a follow-up for people to watch out using this code.  I ordered 2 Legends figures ($6.99) and a Legacy figure ($7.99), then used the code.  To my surprise, I got 20% off and free shipping, so order came to $18 and change.   ;D

My order came a few days ago and figs were minty, but here's the catch - despite an email confirmation, the invoice with my package showed that they charged me $23 and change.   >:(  Not sure how they think that's remotely acceptible - I've received no other communication that my order price should be different.  I wrote them a scathing email about it, so we'll see what happens.

Point is - if you use this code, be sure to check your hard copy invoice to make sure they didn't jack your price back up.

Just a quick follow-up to this.  While the invoice didn't show the discount, they only charged my CC $18.  Sounds like the discount just doesn't show on the printed invoice, so all is good!

Not necessarily a "movie", but it looks like the Avengers are getting their animated due with a new series, launching in 2011 (in time for the movie bonanza).  Hopefully it will be good.  I caught an episode or two of the 90s series on Toon Disney the last couple weeks, yikes that was bad.  Anyways, looking at the press release (and art), it looks like it will feature Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Ant Man, and the Wasp.  It looks like Marvel is finally stepping up the animation game with new Wolverine/X-Men and Iron Man cartoons on the way in 2009, and now Avengers in 2011.  Plus the really great Spectacular Spider-Man toon airing now, which I really enjoy.  Anyways, I'm sure these are all aimed at the kiddos, but I enjoy a good superhero cartoon now and again :).

I think its funny how all these new incarnations of the Avengers still have Captain America in them, but they killed him off in the comics over a year ago.   ::)
