Is it Mark Hamill recording and then sound engineers making him sound younger? Is it a voice actor who's just really good and doing young Mark Hamill?
I read somewhere yesterday that Hamill did nothing for BoB other than lend his likeness. The voice was build by a machine-learning process that they fed the raw dialog of the OT and the radio dramas.
To be honest, as cool as the voice is, it really seems artificial to me.

Latest episode was my favorite, but I've been generally pleased with the series so far.
That seismic mine sound effect NEVER gets old.
While they have not officially changed the name of the ship, they are conspicuously NOT calling it Slave-1. They're in a tough spot here. Best solution would be for him to rename it in honor of a fallen comrade or something.

And I have to wonder if the show may have run into some of the limitations of the production techniques that they've been using. Can the Volume (the virtual projected set) deal with or capture a sense of speed for something like a chase scene? Could there be a speed limit where the background images blur too much to capture it well in camera?My Thoughts exactly. I think the designs would have been better received if they were better executed.
Likewise, if there's an actual set, how much of a budget does a show like this have to build a practical set that can be used for a chase scene?

So many great points here. The blink and you miss it is more than just 3 3/4" and 6". I am now collecting the black series helmets and all the issues we have with this are also evident in that space as well. The big differentiator is that there are a ton more helpful fellow collectors with the two main lines.

I am seriously wondering if this show might be facing similar kinds of challenges to the prequel trilogy. Boba Fett is such a beloved character that I think a lot of people have gone into this series with their own head-canon. Can this show possibly live up to fan expectations?

One thing that the D+ Marvel series have over the Netflix ones is that their more limited run time makes them more focused in terms of storytelling. I liked a lot of the Netflix stuff (until I hit Iron Fist) but it all seemed sort of bloated.

« on: May 12, 2021, 10:36 AM »I also like the idea of Omega. I could tell early on that she was almost certainly a clone. The accent alone seemed like a bit of a giveaway. Besides, the Kaminoans made the members of the Bad Batch different from the "regs" with genetic modification. Making a female clone would just be a matter of changing a couple of chromosomes, so why not? Plus she seems to have other skills, too.My guess is that she will be force-sensitive, perhaps the result of using the genetics of a Jedi combined with clones. Leads us right to Grogu.

It clicked for me when we finally saw his lightsaber.

Two cool moments from the latest episode... Woo used a card trick, a callback to his interaction with Scott Lang in AM2. They also opened the door for the FF by introducing the idea of cosmic rays.
