I noticed the Chewie and Luke I preordered from Kebco have been "pending" since last Friday, hopefully they will ship out soon as well.  I'm actually kind of surprised these ended up showing up as soon as they did.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Clonetroopers!

OK, after looking at the picture again, it looks like the visor will be MOVABLE.  Check out the little groove/notch cut into the inside of the viewfinder thing.  It makes it look like it can flip up over the helmet, with the groove gliding over the long ridge across the center of the helmet.

I noticed that too Matt.  It is exciting to see more and more pics of Episode III, and I really like the fact that they're showing a "hybrid" of sorts of the Storm and Clone troopers.  I do kind of hope that visor will be movable, and I could definitely see them doing something like Scott mentioned...with the "reveal" of the face that looks like a Stormtrooper....that would be pretty cool.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Wave 2 - Animated Clone Wars Figures
« on: January 26, 2004, 04:55 PM »
Great find FishEyedLouie!  I hope that we're able to find Wave 2 around here too, I have a feeling Yoda and the Clone will be tough to come by.  Yoda was the one I have been looking forward the most since this line was announced.  Look forward to seeing your pics!

Congrats to the 'Wolves Scott, nice to see them 1st in the West...without their full roster even.  I hope this is the year they get out of the first round (or further).  K.G. is one of the best players on the planet right now, and deserves to have a better team for once.  Anyways, in other NBA News...I just saw that the 1st in their Division Nets fired coach Byron Scott today.  I guess I'm not surprised, from what we have heard in the past, but it still is funny how coaches get fired even when they are winning (of course, the Atlantic isn't exactly winners central this year, I think the Nets are 22-20 in 1st place).  Check it out here:

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Snow!
« on: January 26, 2004, 12:37 PM »
Well, we got our biggest snow of the winter so far last evening/overnight/today.  I think we have around 6-8", and its blowin like a mofo today.  Luckily, we don't have to leave town for anything really...so it doesn't affect us too much....plus, for some reason I kind of enjoy a good snowstorm once in awhile, as long as no one is hurt or anything.  I don't know if it was because we were little back then, but it just doesn't seem like we get the snowstorms like we did when I was a kid (at least here in Nebraska).  This is the most we have gotten this year, seems like it came down in feet when I was a kid (ok, maybe exaggerating a little). :)

Modern Classifieds / WTB: Ultra Wampa and SA Clonetrooper
« on: January 26, 2004, 10:45 AM »
I know these might be tough finds for anyone right now, but if anyone has these somewhat plentiful in their area, I'm looking for the Saga Luke Skywalker (Hoth Attack) as well as the Saga Ultra Wampa.  It seems as if I am always missing these figures in my area, and I am hoping to pick them up for around retail price.  Card condition isn't a major concern to me (I'm an opener), although I would like them carded.  Also, while I'm at it, I'd be happy to take a Jabba's Palace Luke (or anything else from the Tatooine wave) if you happen across extras :).  Thanks so much for any help!

Saga '02-'04 / Re: How's Star Wars Selling in Your Area?
« on: January 26, 2004, 09:52 AM »
Well, after shopping this weekend...things must still be selling well..and I'm always a day late....or they aren't getting product.  A newer "Greatland" Target that we frequent has been my best bet for new stuff this year, but all they had for the past two weeks is some Animated Clone Wars figures and a lone R-3PO.  Then, a trip to TRU revealed the majority of the Bail Organa wave and another 4 R-3POs.  I must always miss my chance at that elusive Hoth Luke (and Wampa for that matter).  I have only seen the Ultra figures show up once, they aren't at any of the stores near us now.  I'm about ready to go the ebay route, but trying to use some patience :).

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Huge Spoiler!

I wasn't able to get online until late today, looks like I missed it.  Is there still anywhere that this can be seen?  Sounds like it is pretty sweet!

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Endor Wave
« on: January 23, 2004, 04:34 PM »
I hope the Ultra series continues as well, its a nice way for us to get some of the "bigger" items.  Aside from Riekaan, I think most people have been satisfied with what is included for around $10.  Anyways, I really wish we'd have some sort of Chirpa as well.  I'm one who would be happy with several new Ewoks to add to our collections (specifically the ones that were in the vintage line).  But, if nothing else, we should at least get the Chief :P.  Hopefully he will appear single carded, or as a two pack with another (a la Yoda w/Younglings).

The latest update at Hasbro.com has a pic of the Saga Ultra Ewok w/Glider, also includes this blurb at the end:

"Coming next month…
Don’t miss the first look of Unleashed Bossk in the Star Wars Insider #74 in February!"

I guess the rumors are true, it will be interesting to see how this one turns out :).

I guess this is an Ultra set, but kind of fits in with the "Battle of Endor" theme too...if I posted this in the wrong place, I'm sorry :).  Hasbro has a pic up of the next Ultra figure....Ewok w/glider:

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Ye Olde Nintendo
« on: January 23, 2004, 12:37 PM »
Yeah, my friends and I were just discussing this a few days ago...that is a great idea.  They should either release greatest hits discs or include the vintage games along with the newer versions.  I think they'd find a lot of buyers if they'd include the old Marios, Zelda, Tecmo Super Bowl, Kid Icarus, Castlevania, Mega Man, Turtles, Double Dribble, etc.  Nice idea Scott. :)

The Original Trilogy / Re: News regarding EP 7,8,9 rumor (TV Series?)
« on: January 23, 2004, 09:22 AM »
I kind of agree with those who would rather see an animated series.  I think it would be pretty great to have Star Wars in some form after the final movie, and I'm one of those who greatly enjoyed the Clone Wars shorts.  I think you could explore a lot of different areas, and I really think they would be popular if they included OT themes, characters, etc.  When it comes down to it, those are the people and areas that most people (and casual fans) associate with the most.  Everyone knows Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie, Vader, 3PO, R2, Yoda, and Lando.  I'm not quite sure how live action would work out either, I guess you never know, I guess I'd just as soon see animated.  I'm one of those too who doesn't really want to see the "name" of Star Wars drug down by being "too much"....like what happened in some instances with Star Trek.
