Star Wars Universe / Star Wars "Rebellion"
« on: April 12, 2006, 08:18 PM »
I just finished Star Wars "Rebellion" #1!

What a Great Book. I have note Enjoyed a Star Wars Comic as much as this in a Long Time. The Art Work is Visualy Stunning! The Story Arc is very Complex and Really sucks you in. Lt Janek Sunber is one of the Best EU Characters to come around since Quinlin Vos. I also really injoyed all the Great Little Variations of The Stormtrooper Armor (Great inspiration for Customizing). I know, a lot af Star wars Comics Really Suck, But this one is Worth Every Penny of the $2.99 Cover Price.

I got a few Lady Micromen figs today, and I'd like to get started customizing them. Unfortunately I don't know What Kind of Paint Would Allow them Full Articulation w/out Chipping or peeling...It 'd be kind of Pointless if I Customized them and Had to leave them Static. Can someone help me out here.

Saga Collection '06 / 4 Out of 6 Waves Already Out?
« on: March 19, 2006, 09:19 AM »
Here it is March of 06' and we have already seen 4 out of the 6 planed Waves of Figs at retail. At this Rate we'll see all 6 Waves 6 months into the year. My question is What are we going to have for Years End or Christmas? Does this mean that we're going to get that lame butt Repack Wave for the Holliday Season. They did that to us Last Year, Not cooll Hasbro! We want Shiny new Figures Under our Christmas Trees.

Star Wars Universe / Baron Fel did not make the Top 25 Noooo!
« on: March 19, 2006, 08:22 AM »
I can't believe Baon Fel did not make the Toyfare Top 25. It was like, everyone forgot about gthe X-Wing Novels. The EU existed long before KOTOR, which got 5 Nominees. The Only Character remotely related to the X-Wing Novels was Corran Horn, But of course the Version of him that Got Nominated was from the New Jedi Order. Another thing, while I'm on this little Rant, Why would anyone waste their Vote on Figs Hasbro is Going to Produce anyways. Commander Neyo and Bacara's Troops will be made if they were voted for or not. Those are garanteed Cash Cows for Hasbro. Darth Maul and Jedi Luke Skywalker also made the list. Don't we have like a bagillion versions of those characters already. Don't get me Wrong, I deffinatly feel the there are some Great Canadates on the list, but about have of them are a waist, that could have gone to more worthy Characters.

Fel for President!

Has anyone done a head count on all the Figures Based on the Clone Wars Saga?

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Organizing Your Fodder?
« on: March 16, 2006, 09:56 PM »
I was just wondering How you keep your Fodder Organized along w/ all your Other Customizing Gear?

I've built up a rather Large Fodder Bank over the Years, but I've never really took the Time to Organize it So I could use it more effieciently. Every Time I Start Planing a new Custom I have to Dig through 2 Huge Bins of Fodder Figs, 2 Tool Boxes and one Shoe Box Full of Various Parts, and One Bin and 2 Tackle Boxes Full of assessories. This Usually results in me Just getting Fusterated and Buying new Fodder to make the Custom I probably had the Parts for already.  There has to be a better Way.

What's Your System?

I picked up Some Sculpey. I was wondering How to Bake it when your using it on a Plastic Action Figure. I tried a Hair Dryer but it did not work. Is the Melting point of The Plastic Used for Action figures high enough to withstand the 275 degree 15 min Baking Requirement? Or, Can you only use Sculpey for seperate Pieces that you add to the Figure Later after Baking?

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Color of Omega Squads Armor
« on: March 5, 2006, 12:33 PM »
I don't know how many of you guys a reading Republic Commando,s "Triple Zero", but the Color of Omega Squad's New Armor is Stealth Black. The Cover art is of Delta Squad from the Game which doesn't make alot of sence because they just have a Cameo Part in the Book. When I get a couple of Extra Scorches I'll be Making an Omega Squad Commando.

Well,

I finally earned my Customizing Battle Scars. I was working on this Sweet Looking Imperail Pin-Up Girl and had to cut a piece of Plastc w/ my very dull Hobby Kinife, which I had planed on replacing Last night but I fogot the New Knife in my Cart >:( So I used my Dull one anyhow :-[ How do u get a dull knife to cut? Put all your muscle into it. at least that what I did :-[ So, I sliced right through the Pastic Piece, through the corner of my work table, Right through the Tip of my Lift Undex Finger, and across the crease of My pinky finger :'( I'd show you some pics but I think it's just too nast and might make someone sick. So, I'm out of the customizing Buisness for at least a week or so until my fingers heal.

I'm looking for Republic Commando Ref. Pics. Not the Usuall ones from the Game and Hard Contact Pics. I remeber seeing some unique Commando Designs in Dark Horse's Animated Style "Clone Wars Adventures" TPB. If anyone has Ref. Pics of these Commandos please post them to this thread.

I've had a some request for commissioned Customs lately. But, I have some reservations about making Customs that are for someone else's taste and standards. I like making customs and if I can create a way for my customizing hobby to help pay for it's self, it would only alow me to make more customs. Great right? The only thing is, if I'm making customs on someonelse's dime, I have to cater to their quirks and whims, which could make my hobby not so fun. So, I am Considering Ebay as an option. This way if some one likes a custom they can pick what they feel it's worth and I don't have to worry about unsadisfied clients because they see what's available and choose whether or not they want to purchase it. My question is does this help or hurt our Customizing Community? Please LMk your opinions on this matter.

« on: November 24, 2005, 01:24 PM »
I need to know the best place to host Images for my upcomming Photo Novel series.  I use the Star Wars Custom Gallery for my Customs, but I don't think that sight was intended for such large pics.

Any suggestions?
