Major Dick Winters, Band of Brothers leader, has passed

A true American hero, although not in his eyes as he was just doing his job according to him.  A great leader and an even better person.

Nope on the playoff picks, I didn't select that as an option for our group (don't remember it even being there at the start of the season) and haven't 'turned it on' so no idea why you're getting the message you are.  As far as I know, you won, so congratulations btw.

Have you turned it on since this post?  I'm seeing a new line that says "New commissioner setting: Pick through the playoffs! More info here."  However, I don't see a place to make playoff picks and I also got the pick reminder email.

I pretty much conceded first place to Rob because of his lead in games, but I was playing for second (just missed out) and would continue through the playoffs if the option was there.

I wasn't too keen on the Rainbow Lantern wave when the rumors first started, but after seeing the pics, I might bite.  Scarecrow is a definite.  I think there's going to be a lot of people buying this wave just for Anti-Monitor.

although I have read that Jackson also thought of doing one complete film of the Book and the second being a bridge between the book at LOTR with Aragorn and crew

I thought that was debunked and the movies will be strictly the Hobbit, the main reason being they don't have the rights to all the stuff that happened between Bilbo's adventure and the start of Frodo's quest?

I hope these hit retail as there are a few that I want.  I would like to get the Kyle Rayner, Manhunter and black hand.  Does anyone know if the Mongul is a repaint of the old DC Superheroes one, or a new sculpt.  From the pics I've seen I'm guessing repaint, but I'm not certain.

Mongul's a repaint and from what I've seen (My set is due next week from ETC) is the only suck figure in the wave.  Way undersized.  Mongul Jr. was huge in the comics.

We are left with two mysteries (beyond the virus), the helicopter in Atlanta and what the doctor told him.

If they follow the comics, the second one is really easy to figure out.  Granted the show is about 85% different from the events in the comics (no CDC or hillbillies with crossbows in the comics), but having read the comics, it seemed pretty obvious what the doctor told Rick.

I'll write it real small so it's tough to read.  If you want to see it, just copy and paste in Word or something - Lori's pregnant.

We still havent seen how he gets to the place he was in the first ep when he shoots the kid zombie though right?
So that still has to happen??

That happened between Rick raiding the police station and leaving Morgan and his kid and Rick finding the farmhouse with the horse.  He was in the police car at that time and running out of gas.  No need for any further explanation, it was just a scene to grab the viewers.

Jerry also hooked me up with some Kubricks.  Well packaged, fast shipping, all around great service.

Different transaction, same result.  A pleasure to deal with.

I found Alan, Zatanna and Tyr last week at the second of three Walmarts I've checked.

It was the day before Thanksgiving a year ago that I found wave 10 after a tip over at the fwoosh.  Hoping for something similar today.

Not Star Wars, but my oldest absolutely loves the Atlantis ones, so I'm looking forward to those continuing (the anglerfish and crab warriors look great).

Cars 2 Trailer

I know Cars gets a bad rep, but I personally enjoyed it (as does my oldest, it's probably his favorite Pixar movie).  Looking forward to part 2.

You should see it for Michael Caine alone.

Seems there are sporadic sightings of the wave 14 happening, so I guess it's time to start hunting those Walmarts.

The lineup in case anyone forgot:

Alan Scott
Hourman
Obsidian
Zatanna
Kamundi
Gold
Tyr

Collect and Connect is Ultra Humanite.

Mikey - I've been trying to catch up with the comic storylines - have you read them all?

All of them up to and including volume 12 of the TPBs.  Volume 13 gets released in a couple of weeks.

I'm running out of ideas for gag gifts for my company's Yankee Swap (previous years include a plunger with a hidden Home Depot gift card and a Snuggie), so this might be right up my alley.  Considering 85% of the gifts given are booze, it should be easy to trick some poor sap into thinking they're getting alcohol with it.  >:D
