Oh!  It looks like TVC Huyang has one of the training lightsabers, albeit just the hilt.

It’s not an insignificant thing for a major retailer to pause a segment of the Hasbro Star Wars line.  Especially when that chain has around 2000 store locations in the U.S.   That lack of presence leads to perception issues.  And it makes TVC that much more of a niche line.  I don’t think it’s crazy to think that Hasbro should be looking to grow the line, not contract it.

Disney Parks Droid Factory / Re: Disney Mystery Crate Series 2

To this day I still don't have the C1 droid from the first wave.  As for these?  I've got a Disney trip planned for later this year, so I'm going to try picking some of these up in Disney Springs.

This article from Yakface seems a little bit alarming:  EXISTING MAINLINE TVC DPCIS NOW ZEROED AT TARGET AND NO PEGS SET

The alarmists in the community seem to be concerned that Target might be dropping the Vintage Collection.  I am more of the opinion that TVC might be getting a bit of a pause at Target.  Per Hasbro, the wave with Count Dooku, the phase I Clone, Cassian Andor and Finn are supposed to be Fan Channel releases.  I haven't seen reports of this wave turning up at big box stores, but I have seen them in GameStop stores, and that is consistent with what Hasbro stated.

It seems like Walmart is currently stocking this wave.  But I have yet to see any sign of these at Target.
1x Grand Admiral Thrawn
1x The Mandalorian (Mines)
1x Huyang
1x Mandalorian Fleet Commander
1x Axe Woves (Privateer)
1x Ahsoka Tano
2x Grogu (Season 3)

Target has also put the TVC deluxe figures on clearance.  But then the whole situation with that was beyond puzzling, with something like 4 - 6 different deluxe figures in stock at a given time, with 2 of those being exclusive.  In the past I would have thought that a retailer would stock twice as many basic figures at their lower price points as they would the deluxe figures.  But I would hardly ever see carded figures in stock at Target.

The whole situation is a head scratcher, for sure.

What are your 20 most wanted figures you'd like to see in The Vintage Collection from The Eras Tour: Troop Builder 4-Packs

I forgot we usually do these at 10, but since Nick's already replied, we'll go 20.

I thought so!  And I’m happy to edit mine down to 10

I can't begin to count the number of obnoxious eBay users I've blocked for all of the belligerence and lowballing that I've had to deal with on my sales listings.

I had one "interested party" who made a lowball offer on a Legacy Collection comic 2-pack - one of the EE exclusive ones that now command serious prices.  And the item had a good number of people who were watching it - maybe as many as 30.  When I responded to him saying "Thanks for your offer, but I've got some 30+ other users following the listing.  Considering the level of interest I have to pass".  So he came back with "Well, then why is it still available if there's so much interest?"  It was enough to make you want to tear out your hair dealing with that *******, who I'm pretty sure I blocked shortly thereafter.

I've been doing a fair amount of selling for the past few years.  The result of buying WAY too much.  So, does anyone else get inundated with questions like this?

"Whats the absolute lowest youd take?" [sic]

Do people think that's actually something that a seller would answer?  Especially when I have the BEST OFFER option enabled on pretty much every listing?

Call me crazy, but isn't traditional negotiating supposed to go like this?
-Seller sets a price
-Potential buyer makes an offer
-Seller can - A - Accept offer;  B - Decline offer;  C - Counteroffer

I was tempted to tell this latest clown to go f*** himself, because I'm so over eBayers asking that question.

The Vintage Collection / Re: 2024 TVC Deluxe AOTC Jango Fett
« on: April 8, 2024, 01:51 PM »
It's a great figure.  Not perfect, but great.

The level of detail is fantastic.  The paint apps are great - the armor looks far better than I've ever seen on a Jango Fett figure before, and the jumpsuit underneath is the right color.  The way the flamethrower was incorporated with the left gauntlet came out much better than I had expected.

The cons?  The holsters are pretty chonky.  I've heard plenty about wall thickness being an issue with Hasbro's partner factories in China, and this seems to be an example of that.  There seems to be a decent amount of play with with holster straps.  I know that has limited leg mobility on a number of other figures before.  I also had an issue with getting the helmet to sit firmly on the peg after removing Jango's head.

And of course, we have the Fett tax at play.  The inclusion of 3 flame effects should not be cause to make a figure like this "deluxe" and charge $25.  But this is the state of things.  And given the number of additional accessories - especially a loose head?  I want to see some in-universe containers included with these world building figures.  It helps achieve the whole "world building" concept.  And it can help to manage all of the accessories included in these sets.

It’s interesting seeing how the Barriss Offee storyline will pick up from her imprisonment - seemingly at the Citadel.  And I’m happy to hear that Jason Isaacs is back as the voice of the Grand Inquisitor.

Exploring the backstory of Morgan Elsbeth is an unexpected twist.  And in light of her prominence in AHSOKA?  I definitely want to know more about her.

I need to pay closer attention, clearly!

But then maybe Amazon was paying attention to the glut of deluxe figures at Target?  Along with the epic complaining from much of the community about the deluxe figure price point.

11
Has Amazon carried any of the TVC deluxe figures after the Dark Trooper?  IIRC, they really got hosed on those.

I found a pretty good comparison between the Haslab version of Zeb and this new deluxe release:

My Black Series purchases have been few and far between lately.  But this might be one that I pick up.

I'm going to bail on the prerequisite that 4-packs be built on an existing figure.  If it already exists?  Great.  If not?  Take notes, Hasbro!

Iain's stands should work for you.  When you buy them in substantial quantities he can offer a good discount.
