Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Clone 3-pk ...does it suffice?

Well, I thought that maybe the Clone Troopers had some kind of neck ball joint...nope!  It turns out that the Clone Trooper helmets are mounted much like the ones on the bootleg Clone Troopers.  They'll pop off if you try, but thankfully go back on pretty easily, too.

We both saw a object "Floating" across
the sky.

Skip ahaead 20 years........

I was living in Victoria, BC at the time.

This picture of the "UFO" was taken in Brazil about
15 years after I saw it in Canada  20 years before.

Nick, feel free to PM it to me, and I'll let ya' know if it's OK to post!   ;)

Matt, I actually told it to one of my bandmates and our recording studio manager tonight, and I really don't think it would be good here.  It's really kind of graphic.

I've got a hilarious one, but I'm afraid it might be a little too risque for the forum.  Most people I tell it to wind up nearly on the floor in laughter, but I'm hesitant to mention it here.

I don't mind it either way to be honest.  I am getting them no matter what.   I still think each Jedi should have his/her own lightsaber.  We can always take it out of their hand to sit on the counci and discuss Jedi business.  Oh well, it's not a big deal anyway.

Precisely.  I'm just happy that they're doing these things, and the figures look pretty decent.  I hope availability on these are good, and that the screen scenes will continue for some time.  I've been deabating how many of these I'm gonna buy, and if I'm going to try making the entire council chamber.

I think Hasbro's chain of thought was "well, we never see the Jedi with their lightsabers in the Council Chamber.  They might look kind of dopey sitting down with lightsabers ignited".  Or at least something to that effect.

Definitely anticipating the movie.  Impatiently?  Not really.  I've got lots to do between now and then.  I'll start getting really frenzied when the Giftpack edition of The Two Towers comes out on DVD.

The sculpts are pretty good.  The waist/utility belts aren't the greatest, but it's in large part because of the nature of the poses.  Everything else in the sculpt is great IMO.

Yep.  The only Jedi left lightsaber-less is Mace Windu, since there haven't been any purple lightsabers thrown in the accessory packs.

I can not wait to get all 4 of these scenes.  Now the council figures won't have lightsabers correct?

Well, if you have the EPISODE I Naboo (1 green lightsaber) or Gungan accessory pack (one blue lightsaber), or the SAGA Arena Conflict accessory set (this one includes two lightsabers), you can start equipping the new Jedi with some of those lightsabers.

Will these still mix in well with the Preview Clone?

Anyone worried that the paint jobs on the different colored Clones might not be too great?

 :P

Good questions Chewy.  I just got the three pack during the week.  And right now, I'm comparing them to one of my preview Clone Troopers.

Obiviously, there's the cosmetic paint differences, with the Preview Clone Trooper being dirty, and the 3-Pack Clones being clean.  Aside from that, one of the biggest differences?  A slight paint difference on the helmet (on the mouth grill, and a ring around the top/back), backplate, and stomach sections of the armor.  The preview Clones have some grey detail paint on those sections, while the 3-pack Clones are all white.  I think they're still fairly interchangeable.  But I think the clean Clone Troopers will fit in better in dioramas with the Clone Trooper Pilot and Clone Trooper (red trim) because those versions are also clean.

I'm especially happy that they went with the three Jedi they chose for the second Jedi Council scene.  The speculation had been that we'd get a previously released council member and two new ones.  Releasing three all-new Jedi Council members is a good move.

I was seriously thinking about joingin KebCo's One of every figure club.  But, it looks like things have changed, and new stuff is finally hitting retail.

It certainly looks decent enough.  I was looking at it in the copy of the Insider I got yesterday.  The sculpt looks alright, as do most of the accessories.  The lightsaber looks a little weird to me, though.

If I were a serious pursuer of variations, I'd buy three:  one to open, and one of each variant to keep carded.  It's almost impossible to judge how common or rare a variation is while a figure is still shipping from Hasbro.

The Bullpen / Marvel Legends

I've always been much more of a Marvel fan.  Especially when it comes to the X-Men and several of their offshoot books.  I was also reading Thor, The Avengers, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Captain America...the list just goes one.

I read a few DC titles, but not much.  The Flash and Green Lantern were pretty much the extent of it.  I never really could understand the appeal of Superman, and I guess I missed the boat on Batman.
