The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Disney Buys LFL; Announces Episode 7
« on: October 30, 2012, 04:47 PM »
Still can't really tell if this is the truth or not, saw the posting on Facebook by Gentle Giant then googled some stories on it.  I was always assuming that once Lucas died they would be new movies made, just too much money out there that could be made.  Wonder what the story line for these new films would be.

Definitely real.  Every major news outlet imaginable is reporting it.

Yeah it's definitely real since it's all over the place now.  Will be interesting to see what this will do for the franchise.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Disneyland!

Disneyland has raised their ticket prices again.  :o

Parking is still $12 per car. Annual Pass blockout passes are $40 and the Southern California CityPass remains the same but will got up in January.

The best offer right now is still the special $99 3 day ParkHopper available at most Major Southern California Grocery Stores but you have to be a southern california resident.

First use must be by August 30th, 2008, but if it fits your schedule, it is half the price of a 3 day ParkHopper at the Main Ticket Windows, and even has a longer shelf life, as you have 45 days after first use to use the other 2 days.

Also, the Advance Purchase 3 to 5 Day ParkHoppers at Disneyland.com remain the same price, so you can save $30 to $50 per ticket just buy paying in advance. And if you opt for the "eTicket" Print at Home option, You can also bypass the Ticket Booths and go straight to the Turnstiles.

Also, many Travel Agents and Good Neighbor Hotels still have the old ticket stock on sale, so checking with them can get you the old prices on many tickets. This is also true for the tickets sold by many Credit Unions, Colleges, etc.

As for Annual Passholders, if you are eligible for renewal, hang onto your printed order form that was sent to you by Disneyland. Disney will honor the old prices so long as you renew by mail and mail in the form by the date printed on the form. (The online renewal system will automatically charge you the new, higher prices).

So shop around, and try and avoid buying your tickets at the Main Ticket Booths to save some money.

Enjoy!
Wish those prices where still around, will have to pay close to $650 to have that same Annual Pass that cost $389 4 years ago.

Nothing like resurrecting a old thread but you guys have to see this.

There is a POV of the new Radiator Springs Racers ride at Disney California Adventure. It's part of the new Cars Land that opens this week. It makes Test Track look lame.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ktjTqo-ONc&feature=player_embedded

Saw that at another site, ride looks nice.  Can't wait to go there and ride it to compare with Test Track (Only rode that ride once back in 2001, thought it was okay (mostly the last part of it)).  Radiator Springs looks a lot better from that video.  Wonder how long it will be until the crowds die down from the initial opening crowds.

Too funny.  This guy...  Still in the top rankings on here for trade feedback too.  Matt did more for people in the hobby just by helping people get stuff, than most people ever did working for any site.

Would be nice if he did come by to say hi.  Will always remember the first few trades we did with each other.  Since his wife worked at the college I went to, we used her as the middle person to trade with.  I owe him a lot since he got me a hard to get mini bust for cost.

Blue Clone Trooper IIRC.

Yes your recall correctly.  Was probably one of the first Gentle Giant pieces that I had bought for my collection.

Saw it on Friday and enjoyed it.  Wasn't sure what to expect with it based on the previews I saw but decided to take a shot at it and like it a lot.

Since I missed the one last year I'm planning on going to this one.  Just have to figure out a few small details that may come up in that time frame.

How'd he fake them, just out of curiosity?  I haven't heard anything about this.

OK, soooo...  I just saw on their front page that there were threads discussing this, and Philip deleted them?

If there's evidence against or for someone's case on their forums, and Philip removed it, what would be the motivation for that?  That seems counter-productive to the process of sorting out the mess.   :-\

I just read this blog Greenharvest, and the first post from the now removed thread is on it.  Also the letter that Philip Wise got.  Sad that those people may of been scam out of money.  Hopefully they will get it back.

Star Wars Only for Boys?

Just saw this story while on CNN.  Glad that many people have actually sent her encouragement and that alot of the voice actors have sent her stuff as will.  Hopefully the kids that caused her to not want to bring her Star Wars item to school will be nicer to her.

Sad that Leslie Neilsen passed away.  Always remember him from Airplane and The Naked Gun series.  RIP

ALso sadden to hear that Ivan Kershner passed away as will.  Made one of the greatest movies of all time, IMHO.  RIP

This past April I ended up joining weight watchers since I wasn't happy with my weight.  So far I have lost 19.6 lbs on their point plans.  I still have a long way to go and need to start walking so that I can keep on losing.  Good luck with reaching your goal.

Nice photos...I have some that are very reminiscent in my album.  Where did you go besides the inside passage?

Thanks.  Ended up going to Juneau, Skagway (Side trip into the Yukon Territory), Glacier Bay, Ketchikan and Victoria BC.
