You can get your autograph tix. online using paypal and pick up on Wed.

Will save yet one more line to stand in (wel,, prob still have to wait in line for the autos, but eliminate the line to pay-which was a fairly long line last time.

Toy Reviews / Re: New Review: Myo
« on: April 14, 2005, 09:59 AM »
Great review!  I agree these 3 are some of the best from the OTC!

One question, do you usually include packaging variations in the reviews?  If so all 3 cantina aliens have variations to them (and EXTREMEMLY HTF at that !!!).

Myo has the cup packaged in the bubble AND also comes with it packed in hand, Trevvagg comes with the blaster packed in the bubble AND comes with it in hand.

Dannick has a tendrill that has a loop and one that is a straight tendrill.

If you need pics, let me know, I have pics of the Myo and Treevagg variations.

I forget which one I got, it's the original one posted and NOT the RS case.  my god $2.20ea.

I went in with a bunch of guys from the PSWCS on a case of 200 and it worked out to be something closer to $1, like $1.20 apiece incl. shipping which wasn't too shabby.  Almost 2 for the price of 1 when comparing to the RS cases.

And yeah, they don;t look as bad as in the pics, they are actually pretty nice, not as nice as the RS one, but for half as much, it WORKS....nicely!

I'm working on some of the chromes. Right now, as far as the chromes I have:

Plo Koon

on the way:
Emperor
Vader
Shaak Ti
Clone Leiutenant
Clone Trooper
Padme
Super Battle Droid

wondering if I should shell it and go for the entire set or not.

Might wait to see what happens to the prices, lucked out and got a few early on pretty cheap-the real HTF ones like Vader/Emperor/Yoda seem kinda hot all of a sudden on ebay right now.

A lot of people I talked to said the same...avoiding it (me too) but I dunno the chrome bases kinda put a little twist into this little neat collectible.

I bit my lip on this one, but there were a few chromes on ebay I picked up yesterday for about $7(incl. S&H)

I'm hearing these are supposedly only 2 per case?  Could even the common chromes be kinda HTF?

And also, naturally would the chrome ultra rares be EXTREMELY HTF? I may take a chance and plunk a couple $ down on a few and see what happens?????

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Holo Yoda?
« on: April 11, 2005, 12:48 PM »
Got one for me and one for a friend.  Some jerk was actually allowed to get 20 of them.  The bin was empty within 2 minutes of the store opening.

 :P

That stuff sucks.  I can see maybe loosening up the "rules" a bit if by the second or third day there's some left, and maybe someone wants an extra one, but 20 of them...c'mon.

It was posted abouve, and I've mentioned this as well to my local collecting buds, but I agree the role-playing toys seem big with kids today.

The guns and sabers are what I see in kids hands and mom's carts.  The figures are in the adult colletors carts.  Vid games have pretty much killed the whole "sit down with your action figures and create a scene in your mind" thing that we enjoyed when we were 5 or 6.

I've already started to go back and grab a lot of the clearance sabers, and even a few viontage weapons.  I can see some nerdy whiny crybaby group sometime in the near future all of a sudden want to put a "BAN" on selling any weapons, and who knows, maybe toy guns and toy weapons  may be the big collectible in yrs. to come.

And as far as sales numbers, when AOTC  came out to me it seemed like you saw Anakin and Padme all over the TV screen vs. this year  seeing a lot of Vader, Chewie and Yoda which I would guess are FAR more exciting to the young'uns. ;^)

Good time!  ;D  No raspberry brew  >:(

I picked up a vintage loose Luke ST w/helmet (repro I think) and a vintage loose  Han/Carbonite ($100 for both)

Also an EPI  Gungan sub w/Obi-wan for $5!!!!! (NEVER saw that when they hit retail)

and about 22 old mags w/sw covers for about $20.  MAD, Lucasfilm Fan club, Starlogs, Pop Mechanics, etc.

Observations:

* Animated Clone troopers going for about $12-$15
* Lots of ROTS Red&Blue Guards, clones (pilots, commanders, etc.) all going for about $15ea.  VERY few if any Mas Ammedas to be found-he's a heavy fig.  ;)
* Darth Taters $7.99(tons)
* Lots of vintage carded and loose.  A few store displays, but the store displays were freeaking rediculously high priced!!!!!!!!!!!!    :o

I have your Cell # in my phone Bob, so if you're gonna have it on I'll call you.  Mike was supposed to give me a hand putting the FFURG Table up real quick (just the tables), but if you're around you can coordinate the effort.  Act as foreman or whatever. :)

I'm doing that in the evening.  I'm leaving Pittsburgh around 8 I hope...  Probably just heading from my house down 66 to 70 and on our way then.

Lemme know if your plans are at all similar.

We are probably leaving around that same time. Shoot me your # beforehand(new PC, nothing is saved :^(, but also give me a call that morning.  A few others are planning on leaving around the same time.
