I am interviewing Bumblefoot this week. His management has already mentioned i cannot ask when Chinese Democracy will be released.  :-\

Cool and interesting.  Can you tell us what you do find out?  How'd you get that gig?  What's the interview for.  Like I said...interesting....

Are you guys serious?  I mean, I am admittedly biased, with a built in local "wow" factor motivating me, but the Jazz are playing some really good basketball right now.  Between Boozer, Fisher, and Williams, plus a decent supporting cast, I'm having a blast watching them.

Don't get me wrong; I've got no grand delusions about how this Jazz team stacks up about historical teams, or even some of the better teams in the league this season, but being as objective as I can be, I've gotta still say, they've been really fun to watch in the playoffs.

Why no love for Utah?

Oh, man, you've got to be kidding me.  You'd waste a man-crush on that?

Dude, it's all about Okur.

See?  Dreamy.

I know, but that doesn't change the fact that I have to either stay up late or wait a whole day....

It's the principle of the thing!

I'm pissed.

My wife signed me up to go--get this--dry pack canning for our church on Thursday.  So while all you guys are yukking it up during the hour long season finale, I'll be up to my waist in lentils, wheat, and...whatever else churches dry pack.

Effing apocolyptic Mormons.  Anyone but Romney in '08!

I don't really think Jesus wants me to miss the season finale, regardless of how many poor people will eat the dry barley I can pack into a tin can.

Golden State acted like a bunch of cry-babies last night.  What poor sportsmanship.  Boozer's the real deal.  And I have a man-crush on Mehmet, but it's just because of his sexy bed-head.

She's been one of the most consistently-requested figures since the modern line began, she has far more screentime than Dengar and Bossk and IG-88, a prototype of her was even made for the original Kenner line. She was second runner-up in the ToyFare Fan Choice poll by only a small margin, she had more votes than any other movie character in the poll, and the 2 above her in the poll have already been confirmed to be made (as have Darth Malak, Hermi Odle, ROTJ Luke, Mara Jade, Kir Kanos, Clone Commander, Padme Ilum, and Commander Neyo who all got significantly less votes than Yarna, half of those 4 poll-losers there have even already been released). You obviously recognize some level of demand, based on your April Fools-style joke at 2006 San Diego Comic Con. So why is it that you will joke about collectors wanting a Yarna d'al Gargan figure, but have been unwilling in the past to produce this figure and will not confirm that you are committed to releasing this figure in the foreseeable future? (SSG, 5/11/07)

What a royal douche.  The question is, essentially, "why do you tease us?"

SSG = stupid sucky & gay.

Did anyone else happen to catch that dunk that Baron Davis thumped on Kirilenko's head last night?  Damn!

I just don't like Stanley too much, but obviously not because he's black.  Seriously.  I just don't like him because he's a negative turd, and a little too much like a bunch of negative turds I've actually worked with.

Crap, does that make me a racist?  No, because the turds I've worked with were all white.

Not that I noticed.

I wish Pam had been a little more romantic in her speech.  Just wanting to be friends and joke around with Jim?  **** that.  Chicks only get that if there's a prospect for  :-* and she should know it.

I was glad to hear her dis Roy a little bit, though.

I also wished that they would have spent a little more time on the Jim reaction shot after the Pam speech.  But that is somewhat of an exception, as I think the Jim reaction shots have been a bit overused this season.

Dwight's on a pedastal, but Creed is rapidly climbing to second favorite character status.

I was also disappointed that Pam told Toby she was going to be in a two-piece, but then it never showed her in a two-piece, which caused me to have unnecessarily opened a certain product.

Two weeks in a row Creed steals the show.

Andy floating in the lake was pretty good, too.

I have a feeling that Golden State may experience the same type of letdown against Utah.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The Spider-Man Movie Series

It was okay, but it really was clogged up with too many characters and too many subplots.  I would've kept Venom and developed that storyline a little more, and completely left Sandman out of it.

The thing I liked (well, loved) about the first two movies was that each had a theme that was well developed and firmly rooted in the comics.  SM3 tried too hard to force the whole vengance/forgiveness theme, and Sandman seemed shoehorned in just to make that theme all the more explicit.

The same theme could have been more effectively carried out simply between Harry and Peter, and the Venom/Eddie Brock subplot could have been used as a counterpoint if it had been developed a bit more.  The elements were there, anyway (like Eddie vowing revenge for Peter wrecking his career, etc.)

The retrocharacterization stuff that generally wrecks sequels was completely missing from SM2, but was relied on too heavily in SM3.  How convenient that Sandman was retroactively written in to have been the cause of Uncle Ben's death, and how much more convenient that Harry's butler finally comes clean about cleaning Norman's wounds and whatever.  Too convenient, too contrived.

I did like the bad Peter stuff, and Bryce Dallas Howard is ******* hot.  If they do continue with this series, I hope that MJ gets killed and Peter marries Gwen instead.

Funny you mention that.  I actually heard a bunch of scientists (well, three) talking about this on a radio program over the weekend, and someone called in with the same claim about the allegedly massive energy expenditures of making the Prius, and all of the scientists--even the global warming skeptics--said that was total bunk.  One of them said that it was a rapidly circulating rumor they'd heard before, but that it was based on entirely speculative data or something.

I didn't listen too closely, because the program was boring, but it's interesting to see that the story's making the rounds.

Yeah, Hot Topic is gay, but where else are you going to find infant and child sized Tool t-shirts?
