Anyone else find it a bit weird that it appeared John was hitting on the chick at the funeral considering his girlfriend tried to kill herself not that long ago.

I had always wondering why they had skipped the number seven.  With the blonde being six and boomer eight, I couldn't figure out why there was no seven and thought maybe the hybrids were a failed seven attempt, but I guess now we know.

I started watching about a year ago.  Good show, and hey, it looks like Forman coached Pittsburgh to a Super Bowl championship.

I forsee Gaeda getting thrown out an airlock by the end of the series.  I also have to wonder if Tigh's wife is going to show up at some point.  With the whole final five Cylon thing, it would be a bit of a downer if they never got the final five together.

Jack Bauer may die in final '24' (thanks Dale)

I personally don't care much for this season and they've pretty much taken the show as far as it can go IMO, so we'll see.

I think a similar article said that he has one more season left on his contract and he didn't know if he wanted to do more.  Also, the movie angle was dangled in front of him, so he probably won't get killed.

LEGO / Re: Typical Lego Prices?
« on: January 26, 2009, 07:31 AM »
Generally, Lego set prices are around standard prices based on number of pieces, at least for Star Wars sets.  Usually the cost is $1 per ten Legos in the set, so a 1,000 piece set is usually around $100.  The smaller sets are a bit more than that price, but I chalk that up to packaging and such.

Then what the heck is Starbuck?

I was thinking that she may be a clone since they took her ovaries...some sort of Cylon experiment.

They showed Tony Almeida in the add for the new season towards the end of Redemption.  You missed that too?

Not only that...they played a pretty similar preview over in the UK last year before this season was supposed to start before it was pushed back due to the writers strike.  On the Redemption DVD, they had the first 20 minutes or so of the first episode.

The rest of Season four debuts this Friday.  Anyone watch the latest 10 webisodes on Sci Fi.com?  Strange Story, but I'm now thinking Geada might be the last Cylon (of course that's probably what they want us to think).

I've watched the first six as they pop up on Demand.  My initial thought was that Gaeda's name was a pun due to his man on man kiss with the drug dealer.  He's gay, duh.  However, he then makes out with the Cylon so may he likes everything...I'll have to wait to see the last four to see the last Cylon angle.

Matt was being facetious.

I'm pretty sure he was being fecetious.

Anti-fecetious-ism-acist.

I would almost think this topic was in the Pit...

I think the above post sums things up pretty well, but I would think that if the law did ban the reselling of older toys, it would get thrown out in court.  No ex post facto laws are allowed per the Constitution.  The could dance around that with the health issue, but I don't think the older toys are the problem.  The toys from China are the problem.  I think we would all be dead by now if vintage figures had dangerous levels of lead in them.

A bit surprising that they snuck this one on us on the eve of the Sandtrooper preorder.

I just really don't get Sci-Fi's reasoning behind cancelling this series.  Other than Sanctuary and Eureka they're really not leaving themselves with much.

   E...

I think that's a little more accurate...with 10 weeks of BSG thrown in.  :D

Sci-Fi doesn't tend to stick with its original programming once the series get past a few seasons (when actors and crew want more money).  I am surprised the SG SG1 stayed on as long as it did.  Look at Farscape as another example.  Sci-Fi is developing a new SG series as well as the BSG prequel.  I am wondering when Eureka will return as well.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Doctor Who

That makes me wonder. Does a Time Lord age?

I would have to say yes...since Doctor #1 started as a child, according to Doctor #10 in the episodes with the Master in Season 3, and then ended up as an old man (Hartnell), then you would have to say the Doctor ages in each body.  Also, in the Fox TV special, Sylvester McCoy was portrayed as older than he was when the show ended ~1989.

LEGO / Re: LEGO Death Star
« on: December 19, 2008, 07:09 AM »
Ugh... I'm almost done with the bottom section but noticed that they booklet has a repeat of steps 62-72 instead of 73-83!
Doh!

That sucks...oddly enough I had the same problem with the UCS Death Star set where they repeated several pages.  Just call Lego and they'll send you a new instruction booklet.

Anyone else think they'll sneak out the preorder on us today?  While Piett isn't the most exciting figure, at least it isn't another clone, Han, Luke, etc.  Also, he is a figure that was never covered by Hasbro.  Still, I would really love to see them tackle Hammerhead.
