Other Toy Lines / Re: Modern Masters of the Universe
« on: August 6, 2003, 10:35 PM »
Well,  it will be a sad day if they pull the plug on the line so soon.   Although I don't hunt for He-Man figures as much as Star Wars,   I am collecting the figures.  My question is this,  why are they making so many versions of He-Man and Skeletor?  Shouldn't they try to concentrate on main characters that haven't been made first and not the 11th version of He-Man.  Kinda sounds like Mattel has "Hasbroitis" ...  (Hasbro with 15 different Darth Mauls etc.)  How 'bout a King Randor figure?

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: "Freddy vs. Jason"
« on: August 5, 2003, 11:07 PM »
I will be seeing this very soon, if not the day it comes out. I am a huge horror movie fan. Personally, I think that Michael Myers, my favorite all time "bad guy" would wipe both of them across the floor. I know a lot of movie facts regarding the Halloween series and am very much "into it". I vote for Michael VS. ANYONE, they would all be great. :D :-*

YES!!  Michael Myers is the MAN!!  I don't know why they didn't want to include him in the movie.  I guess since there was a Halloween movie out more recently than either Freddy or Jason,  They got jealous and had to catch up. ::)

Anyway,  Michael can wait and take on Jason when he beats up on Freddy... ;D

I'll probaly will wait until it comes out on video or something,  which should be about christmas... ::)

Anyway,  unless Freddy can get inside Jason's dreams and drive him crazy,  Jason will wipe the floor with his a**.  Jason brings a machete...  All Freddy has is those little fingernails... ;D

The Original Trilogy / Re: Bossk?
« on: August 5, 2003, 08:35 PM »
In the action figure book ( I think it is Steve Sansweets, I don't have it in front of me) there is a picture of Jabba on his Throne and there in the Back Row far left is Bossk, right next to Boba Fett.  So he was "on the set".  I'll see if I can't snag a picture of him either at the palace or on the barge  this weekend with the other ones I am trying to get...

I'm looking at the AFA right now,  and if you look at that pic on pg.148, it does indeed look like Bossk all the way in the left corner standing behind Boba Fett and in front of Amanaman.

If that bloody crystal, or any other artifact that gives the wielder strange powers, is in it I'll cry!  This film should be so simple.  No flying R2's, No crystals, Slapstick to a minimum, lots of Jedi fighting, cool death scenes and an outstanding Obi - Anakin duel.  It's that simple.  Lightsabers and starships are the only plot helpers it needs.  Lets not encourage him with talk of magical stones!

I agree...

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: The Slaughter of the Padawans
« on: August 5, 2003, 08:21 PM »
I would not be surprised if the children are even mentioned.  But do we really want to see little padawans being killed?  I know I don't.  It's a PG film and not even PG-13.  Imagine if big burly Vader comes through the temple hackin' lil padawans.  That would not be cool.  At least not for family audiences.  I doubt even seeing clones shooting and hitting padawan kids.

So, about the only thing Lucas could show is the Temple being destroyed from a far off angle.  Or maybe, maybe show a group shot of the kids and then cut to the Temple being incinerated aka Tarkin right before the Death Star is destroyed.

I agree,  I don't think we will see padawans getting killed.  I don't even think we will see them in any battle scenes if at all.

I found mines at K-Mart,  of all places,  and bought them both...  Glad I did,  I never saw them at retail again after that.

Episode 1 / Re: The Original "Midnight Madness"
« on: August 4, 2003, 07:41 PM »
I didn't go to midnight madness in 99...  While on vacation in California for EPII,  I went to TRU and stood in line for about 45 minutes.  Got a few things,  as most was wiped out by the time I got in there.  After that I drove down to SWM and leisurely shopped around finding everything except for Dooku and Yoda.  Found Yoda and Dooku a couple of days later...  It was fun.  Can't wait for EP III! ;D

I like the Queen's Starship as well...  I was fortunate enough to get mine for $24.00 during TRU's clearance.   i really like the red astromech droid pack-in... name slips my mind at the moment.
