At least that's what the wife tells me.

I've said this before in another thread, but I do think that the case assortments suck in which figures they decide to carry over. I mean, even though this is a new year, why does Hasbro think they can't carry some of the figures from last year into wave 1 or 2, etc. I think it would break the cycle of stagnant figures. TPM, it seems, never does well and it seems that Hasbro has avoided figures from that movie like the plague (except Obi-Wan, Maul, and Qui-Gon). But for the first wave of 2012 to be all TPM figures and then to carry some of these forward was over-confident that they'd be hot sellers. Now I'm just seeing lots of Naboo Troopers and Pod Racers on the pegs.

It's like if we got Fleet Troopers at some point, with a new head or something, and the helmet was maybe too tight now...  At least they gave us something cool as said "filler" to balance out the wave's overall cost.

You mean you wouldn't want a working holster, too?  ;)

Jay, do you think there's any way to replace the batteries on the Jedi figures? Hasbro mentioned at NYCC that once the batteries were done, you couldn't remove them. I find that hard to believe they can mold the figure around the batteries and wiring... plus I just think of possible corrosion eating the plastic after years of unuse.

Probably should have clarified that it's my boss that does it.  And he's doing it RIGHT NOW!  There should be a webcam feed for this thread and you could all enjoy it with me.

   E...

Even awesome that you are on a non work-related website when he's right there!! Stick it to the man!!  :-*

Sorry to waste your time. Continue on to a thread you care about.  ;)

Man, that's 2 seconds of my life I'll never get back. Damn you!  ;)

Gees, I don't collect Joe, but I might have to bite on this. I loved the Guard back in the day... Of course, then I'd have to get the original 9 and some Cobras to go with them.... a slippery slope this is.

Yeah, it's not like we need another Vader, but at least he's on the Star Wars card, so I'll be picking him up for that reason alone...

Luke... I wonder if we'll end up getting a bloody faced version.

DST. I love it... would be better if his tunic were gray though.  8)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Who Wants to Lose Weight?
« on: April 3, 2012, 11:57 AM »
I dropped 15 lbs since December, but I don't recommend my route: seasonal depression.  :(

I guess I should say that the depression's the only cause. I've dropped soda pretty much from my diet (I don't have it at home) and only have it at a restaurant. I'm eating less fast food and never eat after 9. So far it's been pretty steady and it's not like I need to lose weight (those that know me would agree), but I'd like to get back to around where I was before my daughter was born. I essentially gained 20 pounds in 2 years.  :-\

The Vintage Collection / Re: Recent Vintage Collection Purchases

I've been out of it for a while...

but, again, I have found nothing new to buy since the TPM wave 6 weeks ago.  No cut-scenes figures, no Movie Heroes.  Nothing new at all.

I thought you were going to post that you found the jackpot of figures... and that would be the April Fool's Joke.

tru.com has it 1 day only cyber sale with the BOGO 50% off. 3 of the BluRay figures (Lando, MonCal and Cracken), but they are now at $10.99.  :(

The Vintage Collection / Re: Keeping Cardbacks
« on: March 31, 2012, 07:16 PM »
I have kept my cards and bubbles for every figure bought so far. It does take up a lot of room and I've wondered how to make it work better. As for the Vintage stuff, I would have love to have gotten one of each on the cards, but there were some figures I just didn't need more of (like Sandtroopers). I wasn't going to lay down $9 for a figure I already have several versions of, especially if it's a repack. I did give in and bought Boba Fett and Vader, but those are simply a must. If someone had duplicates they'd like to send my way, I'd be interested.

I loved that movie (Drive). It was well-done... the soundtrack, the lack of dialogue at points.

They're still not crackbricks. Nowhere close.
