Population.  Canada barely exists as far as they are concerned.  How you ignore a market with 30 million people is beyond me, but there have to be as many buyers in all of Canada as there are in LA and New York combined, aren't there?

::) Morgbug, I'd be very interested in reading that alleged card bender thread. This guy didn't happen to see flying saucers, too, did he? ("I was abducted! They MADE me bend cards! I don't understand! Help me understand!!!")

Yeah, yeah.  I got the sarcasm before.   ::)  I'm not sure I'm going to find the thread for you now :P  I don't think you deserve it.  Maybe if you beg.  Just a little ;D ;)

Hey Boba,
can you snap some pics with a regular or dog alien in to give it some perspective.  Those pics are great but don't really give and impression of the size of this puppy.

OH, Dale >:(

I was doing fine, not having a foggy clue about any spice girls tune and you pull that out?  It's about as bad as Who Let the Dogs out

Now stop this torture.

Back on topic, anyone remember Joan Severance ?

Image may need resizing.

I fell in love with her in See no evil, Hear no evil, a wonderfully funny and bad movie from 1989.

Good stuff Scott, I hear ya on the flea market sellers.

Matt,
4 stereos in 4 different locations.  None in the hood.  3 in typical suburban neighbourhoods; one while living with the parental units; another in the parking garage of an apartment building; another outside a different apartment on a residential street and the fourth in a parking lot at the university.  Lots of nice folks around where I live, the car theft (and likely car stereo theft) capital of Canada.  Couple that with the insurance companies reluctancy to cover full value and you can see why stock stereos appeal to me.  Especially when the stock is Bose.  Thanks Nissan.  Still loud, high quality sound. ;D

Wait til you get older boys.   ;)  Sometimes it's not so much a matter of choice.  I completely share your opinion about diet sodas, though I confess to drinking them more often than I used to. That aspartame-y taste just doesn't do much for me.

via edit:
Diet flavours I find acceptable:

Diet gingerale - better than regular
diet Iced Tea (sweetened) - works for me
diet 7-up - ok
Diet Dr. Pepper - this stuff absolutely rocks

I saw this at a collector store today for $39.99 Cdn.  I totally agree it is huge and graphic.  Pretty neat and if I was into the Aliens I'd buy it in a second. Even at that price, it's worth it.  The US price is a bargain and if you were only considering getting it, get it.  Boba Binks description is great and you should at least see this thing once.  Wow.

Don't worrry Chris, it's only me he's talking about.  I think it might be hard to get rid of a fellow mod.  Now, a lackey like me is another story.  Matt already banned me once about 6-8 weeks ago for a week ;)

The Card Bender is a myth, an urban legend created by collectors during dry spells between shipments in order to generate discussion on message boards. While there have been numerous eye-witness reports, Bigfoot is easier to photograph than the Card Bender. It is as much a creature of fantasy as the unicorn or the leprechaun or the eskimo.

(Wish I could find some new figures...)

Not true.  We had an admitted one over on snowtroopers.ca.  Turned out to be an employee too, IIRC.  I'll try to dig up the thread for you.  It wasn't pretty.

Awesome find!  Brings you back in time, doesn't it (seeing those POTF2 figs on pegs)?

Heh.  No.

One store around me still has medic droids on green cards at full retail.  Strictly openers they've been moved around the store so often.  Found some Episode I Padme Naberrie today and there's an omnipresent supply of Shmi around as well.

Dr. Szell (Marathon Man) is an excellent choice.  There is nothing in this world more frightening than a dentist and an evil, nasty one at that.  I had this guy (metaphorically speaking) as a dentist from ages 10-14.  Severe mental trauma (though not so severe as to make me like Ewoks).

Oh, like THAT'S never happened to me here before :-*

Clonetrooper, Chewbacca and Luke X-wing pilot are the next three (and last three for 2003) in the unleashed line.  See report here.

I'll grant you that's not the absolute most reliable place for it, but that site tries hard and the guy reporting it is a retailer that has great service and is pretty knowledgeable.

Watto's Junk Yard / Coca Cola Classic - Caffeine Free?
« on: June 4, 2003, 08:30 PM »
Just found Coca Cola Classic in a caffeine free form.  First time I've ever seen it.  The taste is different, but hopefully it will grow on me.  I used to drink tons of Coke Classic, but the caffeine tore me apart.

Anybody else tried this stuff?

Yeah Josh, point taken.  My first stereo in the CRX was a thing of beauty.  Harmon Kardon deck, HK amp for front Pioneer speakers, Blaupunkt amp for rear Bose 101 speakers.  Absolutlely huge sound ;D  Until it got stolen.  As did the next three.

I just gave up for the most part.  Better cars with better stock stereos.  Gotta love Nissan and their association with Bose.
