WEEK 8: SNF/MNF remains
(4-4) Minnesota Muskies 22.80 (Brady, Witten, Longwell)
(5-3) Fightin' Armadillos 59.24 (0)

And Witten scores with a half left...its not over yet

Ahhh, come on.  You're still down by 30 with just Brady and a kicker to go.

I'd just like to point out the fact that your kicker had 16 points today. It's a longshot but Scott isn't quite done yet. If Longwell were to duplicate that Brady would only need 11.25 for Scott to win.

Yeah but I've got Adam Vinatieri  :)

Scott is down 59-32 and he's not making up 27 points with a kicker and Brady.  That would be something.

Besides, my forecast there wasn't nearly as outrageous as Scott's vote against me in the prediction part of the matchup page.  He was only wrong by about 70 points on that one and I guaranteed that before the game was played.

For Scott's next prediction act, he has the Titans over the Lions in the Super Bowl.

Yes.

It would be idiotic to put Brady back in with a ginormous lead and 6 minutes to go.

Well, I'm surprised it even got as close as a 5 point margin.  Very atypical night for Brady, he normally is good for 250 and 2 scores.  The Patriots obviously had no intention of trying to run against the Vikings.

I'd like to add that the descrepency came back last week.  My 2-6, dead last team has outscored SIX of the teams in the league, the 5 directly above me, and the #3 team (Brent).

Disgusting.

Yeah, and when you outscored me you beat me, so where's the gripe in that?

Yeah the cookie does crumble that way.  I'll update that chart after MNF to reflect the last 3 weeks of games.  Hey, win 5 of your next 6, and you're probably in the playoffs.  And do me a favor, end all of this silliness and bump Brian off this week so I can assume first place in both W-L record and points.  With Colston and Ravens D already in the end zone, the ax is already dropping on Jamie (who I suspect is the PM snitch, so justice will be served there).  Ha ha, hey Scott you gonna bet against me and do it correctly one of these weeks?  You should try voting with me one of these weeks, I'll be winning a lot and you'll look smart.  With Tomlinson, Holt, McNabb, Owens, and the best kicker, tight end, and top 2 defense in the league - It's so easy, a caveman could do it.

What creative stat are you using to make your kicker the best?

Care to enlighten me on exactly what you're talking about?

Dude you're mopping the floor with Pearson right now like 63-5.  Brutal stuff.  Props.

About Vinatieri, it's not so much stats, although I could project them, it's just that Vinatieri is the best kicker in the NFL.  However, he missed 4 games and played hurt in a 5th, yet still has put up 58 points.  Project those out and he's better than Wilkins and roughly tied with Gould for #1.

Roughly tied yeah, but Gould, my kicker, isn't roughly anything, he's #1 this year.  Not a great day today though, but dem's da Bears.

It's early yet.  By middle of the afternoon I'll only have one slot left, Monday night, and Scott has most of his roster to go yet.  Point total is nice for me though.

It was just brought to my attention that Randle El is being credited witha  TD pass that Brunell threw... just a head's up, if Yahoo doesn't get it corrected (and I assume they will fix it), I'll have to see what I can do to fix that one.

Nice game by TO.  Not sure which would piss me off more if I was a Cowboy fan - the nap resulting in a penalty or the dropped pass that could have been the game winning TD.  Still, I can't be all ticked off at him, he's drawing attention away from Glenn.
