Wow, this week's matchup went in my favor... got to win my game before Hasselbeck and Kasay even played.

You're welcome.   :P

Apparently my team doesn't want to make the playoffs.  3 seed three weeks ago, now probably out of the picture.

As we enter the playoffs tonight, (well, not 'we' so much as 'you guys') I'd like to go out by noting that once again, my team scored an assload of points in a losing effort.

Enough to beat 8 out of 11 teams - but I lost.

My team will finish (regular season) 6th in scoring - but only .38 away from 5th place.

11th in the standings.

Now that I've bitched about it one last time, I'll stop my bad-luck bitching and announce that I will never ever ever again pass on LT.  He alone probably would have won me 5 more games.  Maybe I'll take the time to do the math and see what my weekly scores would have been like with LT instead of LJ each week.  Stupid.  Stupid Stupid.

Edit:  Ran the numbers, they look like this:

If I'd drafted LT instead of LJ:

Week 01 L - (-5.92 + 12.96) Remains Loss, +0
Week 02 L - (-5.68 + 16.88) WOULD HAVE WON, +1
Week 03 W - (LT and LJ Bye), N/A
Week 04 L - (-18.68 + 4.20) Remains Loss, +0
Week 05 L - (-10.68 + 2.80) Remains Loss, +0
Week 06 L - (-7.28 + 29.40) WOULD HAVE WON, +1
Week 07 W - (-19.44 + 13.53) Remains Win, +0
Week 08 L - (-32.24 + 28.60) Remains Loss, +0
Week 09 L - (-13.88 + 26.68) Remains Loss, +0
Week 10 L - (-9.56 + 31.32) WOULD HAVE WON +1
Week 11 W - (-19.16 + 32.16) Remains Win, +0
Week 12 L - (Played Rebels, Doesn't make sense to Calculate), +0
Week 13 W - (-6.44 + 20.68) Remains Win, +0
Week 14 L - (-5.96 + 23.48) WOULD HAVE WON, +1

So there you have it, I'd most likely be about 8-6, in the playoffs, and would have about 100 more points in total points putting me around 2nd in scoring.

My season was done the minute I passed on LT - same for Scott I guess.

I had no idea that Tomlinson would be better than LJ.

 ;)

Dressel writes:
RB:  Tomlinson and Dillon/Green is better than LJ who lost Roaf and can only run to one side now and Jamal Lewis and his broken hip.   If I had the first overall pick of this draft, and not the fourth, I'd still have taken LaDainian Tomlinson.

Rob responds:
The loss of Roaf is a concern, as is the loss of Hutchinson in Seattle (Alexander), but I passed on LT because of the fact that they decided to go with Phillip Rivers over Drew Brees.  As good as LT is, I think that comparatively the entire Chargers offense is going to sputter until the kid gets used to being a starter in real games.  LT will still get his points, but maybe not as many as last year.

Yes.  I was clearly, and admittedly, completely wrong on that account.

Okay, what the hell happened to Brent?  Did he go on vacation or something?  I've been watching all week to see if he was going to take D-Jack out of his lineup since we knew he was inactive for sure, and I watched right up until kickoff last night when the lineup was locked and he never benched him.  He took a 17-0 margin on the chin in Round 1 of the Playoffs, with the Alex Smith vs. D-Jack matchup last night.

Brent was last active apparently December 9th.  What happened to him?  That is really unlike him, and as long as Brent and his family are alive and healthy I'm kinda glad he slacked because he is one of the 2 people that I did not want to face in a potential championship game.

Oh my God.

It's Terrell Owens vs. Brian Westbrook for all the marbles Monday night.  I'm going to need a Christmas miracle from TO!

Dressel 43 (Owens)
Jamie 43 (Westbrook)

Winner advances to the championship game...

I'm in the championship game in another league and it's come down to this game too. Looks like I won't be leaving the couch tonight!

Don't think my team could've layed a bigger egg.  Man did they stink up the joint.

I'm moving my vacation days away from the end of fantasy seasons :o :-\  Coulda won; shoulda won, hell, I even tried to win.  I tried to get into a computer place on the Wednesday night by the hotel and the system was down.  I got in finally on the Friday (hey, it wasn't really a priority) to find out I'd lost both Jackson and Jones and Jackson had already played.  Coulda moved Driver into WR and Dayne into flex.  Oh well.

Thanks for the thoughts DR.  I think I scrambled well enough all year to be a concern.  Not bad considering by the end of the year I lost my 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks to injury for the remainder of the season.  My starting QB was benched in favor of his backup; my backup QB went down for the season.  Oh, and my first pick ended up being the bust of 2006's free agency market.  Whee!

Next year....

Where would Kevho be if he took LT like he should have instead of Tiki ******* Barber, taking Shaun and LJ were both reasonable picks at the time, LT faltered mightly down the stretch last year and had a new unknown QB...but Tiki Barber????  Come on ::)

::sigh::  Always taking shots at Kev.  2 consecutive years of making the playoffs and of him doing better than you, including a championship (where he took Tiki first, I might add).  Last season Tiki had 170 fantasy points vs. LT's 208, and like you said, unknown QB/offense this year for LT which almost put them on the same plane for the draft.  He'd come in here and criticize your picks, but it's like shooting fish in a barrel.  Do better than him, then talk.

Go ahead and criticize me Kevin, I'd be below Rob if I took Tiki ******* Barber ahead of the big 3, and again I ask where would he be with LT instead of Tiki????

Um, Tiki outscored Alexander 92 to 67.  So, what you're saying is, I don't really know what you're saying.  Because actually you'd have done better with Tiki.   ???

and again I ask where would he be with LT instead of Tiki????

Still ahead of you.
