If nothing else, this announcement-to-cover-their-butts-after the-slip makes Patrick look like even more of a lying POS. At the end of the QnA he said a certain "character" was not in fact the Black Series HasLab Project, he had some things confused in his mind, and disregard hearing that earlier because you will be disappointed when it turns out to not be the case. Except it turns out it was.

Oh what a fool.

Clocks in around $15 dollars a figure on Amazon. Not shipping til February...I will be looking for somewhere to order a case of these guys to try to knock that price down some. Edit: Found the case on EE...comes with 2 each of Kuill and Bo-Katan, which I don't really need, just one Hoth Rebel (which I want extras of) and a mystery figure. So for the same price I am getting 7 figures in the quantities I want from Amazon. Guess that is just the way it goes these days.

But at least the preorder was still active an hour in...

Oh my God, I cannot believe these madmen actually did it. Rereleases of some of the biggest pegwarmers of the entire 6 inch line! And two of the three new figures are exclusives, to Target, so good luck fighting over the 5000 figure production run.

I mean I'll admit that the new Photoreal faces look GREAT, but I'll wait for the rest of those to join their 2016 brethren at Five Below.

I think a part of the saving grace here is the Rogue One Crew will be fan channel releases like the Ghost Crew were last summer. Keeps production numbers down on the rereleases and the figure that was deemed not worthy of a run the first time around. And especially if they have bundle deals like the Rebels figures last summer, they should be able to move the sets easy enough.

I'd imagine the updated K-2SO will be the winner of the group, while Jyn will be the loser. The rest will do fine, and at least Cassian is not the Jedha version.

As for the two Target exclusives, yeah they might as well be GI Joes...

Entertainment Earth charged me for my case of these. I placed the order on 10/26/20 and when I had checked two weeks back it said they were delayed til July, but it seems like they arrived on time after all.

The package arrived today. Hasbro case inside an EE box. I'll leave it as is for now since I already got my openers, but if I don't find a 2nd Mando in the store this summer I will have to bust it open to repaint one in full beskar.

32 figures where 16 will be new and 16 will be "refresh/repack/photo real/updates" because of profit margin needs.  16 "new" figures to get spread out over 11 movies, 3-4 animated series, and the new TV Shows.  They are going to be hopelessly behind forever from here on out as the galaxy keeps expanding but the 3.75" line shrinks.

And the TVC diehards are still hurting for their ANH Luke Han and Leia...plus the rest of the 96, so forget about any new media being in focus at least from the fan POV. I hope we get a Hasbro shake-up that leads to a little confidence in dedicated lines for the upcoming projects, in whatever cost effective form they need it to take. I guess the current mode might be Mission Fleet, but that is starting out behind the 8 ball as another new scale with very little depth yet, hitting all the low-hanging fruit first (though kudos on getting a Bluurg made.)

It's going to get worse, even for the Black Series collectors, as more and more slots there get eaten up by repaints/kitbashes to maximize on costs and keep the line at only $25 a figure. The current business model is going to be a long slow death until they break out of it and approach these toys as some sort of cohesive thing again.

You are exactly right Nick--and I had fun poking every hole in his excuses when 5 days after he supposedly dropped it off it coincidentally got its acceptance scan at the post office after I got on him about it.

Oh well. I will have to settle for not leaving him any feedback, he is one of those retaliators who gives a negative for a negative (or a neutral) by the looks of his record. And calls people names like  "bipolar case" in that negative feedback. A real winner indeed.

Btw you can’t “recall” a package from usps.  That’s not a thing lol.

Yep, just another one of his lies. It amazes me that he would want to be so petty with a customer, but maybe he hates his life of selling Disney Park exclusives on eBay?

Anyway the package showed up yesterday, though it should have arrived last Tuesday. It's done, and I love that droid, it is over the top and perfect.

It was processed through his home PO today so at least it's on its way now.

Same here, I am almost positive we must have ordered from the same guy.

I heckled him a bit this morning, reminding him to check up on my package today and warning him I would follow up with eBay if this thing isn't en route like he was claiming. His response was to tell me he would go to the post office and have them recall the package so he could refund me and not deal with me. I don't even know if that's a real thing you can do, but I told him I was only interested in a refund if he was admitting he hadn't sent it yet. He doubled down on his story that it was already mailed out and got even more pissy about it.

It finally got accepted at his local post office just after that. I sent him a snarky message about that amazing coincidence, and he snarked back. Eventually he called me a crybaby and I responded that he was a lying liar who lies. He finally told me he was going to go through with "recalling" the package (which he said he had tracked to Texas somehow in the 4 hours since it had arrived at his California post office) and refunding my money to cancel the sale. Neither of which has happened yet, but eh, who knows? It looks like there are plenty out there to buy now, so either way will work for me.

It just rankles me that he printed the shipping on Friday and didn't ship it til Wednesday, then pawned it off as a post office error. It feels to me like he took the sales he made and used that money to buy the figures afterward. And that's not in and of itself a bad thing as long as it is done in good faith. I keep my own costs down by only printing and assembling an item I sell after it has sold. But I tell the buyer that is what is happening up front, disclose a 3-5 day handling time in the listing, and only print the label to start the tracking when I am going to put it in the mailbox. Maybe I took it too personal because he was "cheating" to get better seller ratings than I can by playing straight? I dunno.

Maybe the other people who bought there's for $28 didn't do so from same seller, but are you having any issues with the seller? The estimated arrival date for mine when I bought it was tomorrow. It was marked as shipped day I bought it but still hasn't made it to the PO. When I asked yesterday he said he didn't have a good box for it until yesterday and that it had shipped. Still no update on shipping tonight. I'm in no rush to get it but hate when sellers dawdle and then give you run around answers.

Because you mentioned it I looked into mine, which was a $28 one also. He generated a tracking number the day I bought mine too, it is scheduled tobe here by Friday, but when I track it the post office is still waiting for item.

I sent him a message asking why it hasn't been received at the post office yet and his reply was "idk. I don't work there."

So I asked him flat out in a follow-up if he had taken it to the post office already, and he quickly replied that he has. Supposedly he is going to ask the post office tomorrow what happened to it.

I run my business through the mail, and while I've dealt with a lot of crazy things through the USPS in the last 6 months, when I drop off a package it gets scanned in that day. Hundreds of times, without fail. When packages stop getting scanned for tracking it is usually en route. So I don't know that I take this guy's story at face value...but it's not like I'm worried about being ripped off or anything either. It is just slimy.

The TVC hardliners don't include the VOTC/VSTC figures as a part of the VTC collection because they don't have TVC numbers, even if they were on Vintage cards and really were the precursor to the TVC line itself. I don't keep track myself because  don't collect packaged figures, but for sure the original Star Wars card Han, Luke, Leia will all need redone/rereleased in the TVC line to complete the 96. I'm not sure what the position is on Threepio, he has only been on an ESB card so far, right? Artoo and Chewie made it out in TVC on Star Wars cards in 2019...I don't have a vested interest in keeping track, but the people who do have  list that they are ticking off from what I understand.

Judging by General Lando, Endor Luke, and Stormtrooper Luke (can't think of any others off the top of my head) the POTF card is not necessary for the figure to be counted as a good enough update to check off the figure as done for the 96. The Imperial Gunner is a sticky one, since he was issued on a Rogue One card. They might call that one a "needs to be redone."

It just seems like there are still a lot of figures to go to have the 96 on TVC cards, and many many many of them will be reissues of figures from the last 20 years. There is just a handful that can be classified as "never updated from the Kenner figure." Greedo, IG88, Bossk, Scout Trooper, Hoth Han need reissued from VSTC. Lots and lots need pulled forward from the modern era. Sticky points like "does the FX-7 mold from POTJ still exist? How about 8-D8 and EV-9D9 from POTF2?" make the prospect of recarding all these things muddy at best. New tooling is hard to come by these days, my mouth waters over the prospect of a new Hammerhead sculpt or Amanaman, but do we really want it used for another General Madine or 2-1B?

Sim Aloo is going to be the last one isn’t he.

I really think he has a much better chance based on sheer notoriety at this point than an updated POTF Anakin Skywalker. At least Sim Aloo is still in the movie.

I went in on this droid shipped for $28 last week too, and I pretty much never get the Disney droids. I think I have only gone in on Chopper and the Depot 5-pack previously. This one is something special, I feel.

But as Jeff stated, now ya wait for the other shoe to drop.

I may be misremembering things, but didn't Jayson find these three (The "Triangle" wave) had already arrived in the US, like two weeks ago? Hopefully they ironed out the problems of having WalMart do preorders before they have product in hand and accounted for, which seems to be where the TVC exclusives have been getting screwed up all the way back to Island Rey, and finally came to a head with the Incinerator Trooper.

Not shipping something already in their warehouse until September sounds like a good recipe to get them lost, though...

Did they specifically say that the Death Star Droid was the TLC sculpt?  I missed some things during the livestream.

They specifically said it was an updated paint job on a previously released figure.
