Am I the only one that thinks there are articulated ball joint knees on the Biggs Figure they showed on Hasbro?  It looks to me like there is a hint of an inset inside the knee?  Maybe I'm crazy (I've been called worse).

I'm holding out hope that he'll have ROTS Dooku leg articulation, or at least something similar. Articulation or not, it's still a fantastic looking figure.

Cool; just added you.  Add me and we can play sometime.

Awesome.

The only online games I have are Mario Kart and Tetris DS.

How's Tetris?  A buddy of mine just picked that up, and really likes it.  I think I'm either gonna grab that or Metroid Prime Hunters next.

Tetris is lots of fun. There are several different game modes and each one incorporates a different Nintendo game into it. For example, when you play Standard mode, as you play you can watch an NES style Mario hop on Koopas and Goombas in the background. I'd recommend it if you're a big fan of Tetris, otherwise buying it or not is your decision.

Right before I read your post I found out how to do it.

How do you get these Friend Codes? I have a DS (the original model) and Mario Kart. And a wireless connection at home. I'll look to see if my DS can have a FC.

I usually stay out of these debates but this comment left me scratching my head:

In the other sections, the sheer number of people that are around also helps to build my collection.  People are always linking auctions or talking about selling their stuff and I end up buying it.   These are areas that this site (and most of the others out there) simply can't match.  That's not due to quality, it's just due to traffic.

I don't fully understand how this makes RS better, maybe it's the way you worded everything. So what if there are people there linking to eBay auctions? People do that here, on GH, and on various other toy forums I visit. Hell, if it weren't for people here linking to eBay auctions, some of our forum members wouldn't have been able to buy the VTSC Scouts, 30AC Tin Blue Clone, etc. from that dude in China. That's helping people to build their collections, and certainly isn't a RS exclusive.

And about the collection selling... that makes no sense to me at all. Again, maybe it's the way it's worded, but your post makes it sound like RS is the only site that allows people to sell stuff from their own collection. I've browsed many a thread here with people selling items from their collections. I've even bought some stuff, and I know that there are people involved in deals here every day. Same goes for all the other toy forums I frequent, so I beg to differ when you claim that other toy forums can't compete with RS when it comes to "building your collection."

And another thing, Josh, you seem to think that EVERYONE here has a grudge against RS. That isn't true. I don't, and I'm sure there are others here who don't. But the way you come over here and only really post when we begin discussing RS issues makes me think that YOU have a grudge against JD.

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 30AC "Vintage" Figures Thread
« on: March 16, 2007, 10:30 PM »
The news about the hood is disappointing, but what I'm more scared about is the availability of the new figures. I saw an abundance of ANH figs and ESB Lando and C-3PO, but I never saw any of the other figures at retail and had to order everything online. Hopefully I'll be able to find them in stores this time.

Cool find Diddly.  I know that Qui George and some other guys scored these at a couple of Walmarts in the KC area a few weeks back (lucky finds to be sure) but I don't think I've heard of any other people finding them at Walmart yet.

Oh? I've only heard of people finding figures at K-Mart and Sears Grand stores so far, so I figured mine was the first report of figures at Wal-Mart. Kansas City seems to have magical Wal-Marts, I remember them getting the Vintage figures like 3 months ahead of time last year.

she described the package as being very cool but significantly smaller than the SAGA ones. is this true?

Vertically they're exactly the same height as the TSC cards, but they're much less wide. I'd like to say they're the same width as older style cards (Saga 1, Clone Wars, OTC, etc.) but I don't have any of those around to compare them with.

Will this one stand on it's own without the legs bending?

I'll take it back if that's the case.  And I'll buy a few.

Yes. Mine's been standing for over 5 minutes. You have to position the legs in a certain stance due to the sculpt, but it CAN stand.

An new Wal-Mart literally 5 minutes from my house opened up today, so I decided to go and see what they had in the toy aisle.

I found multiples of EVERY TAC figure in Wave 1 (except the McTrooper, I got the last one). I also saw multiple Final 22 figures, new Galactic Heroes, and the Tantive Battle Pack. TAC figures are $6.63, the same price as TSC figures, which you can see in my shot of the receipt.

Older Wal-Marts didn't have anything, but this new one did. So keep your eyes peeled, looks like these are finally starting to hit the "Big 3"...

Those are teh k00l, I like the Mon Cal the best. The Pirate is cool, but the shirt doesn't seem real Star Wars-ish. Good job!

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Astromechs?
« on: March 6, 2007, 04:21 PM »
Yeah, I figured that it'd be easy to fix, I'm just nervous about messing up the action feature somehow; this is one of the R4-G9 repaints, so the turning head raises/lowers the third leg. I'll try it later and see if it works out like I hope it does.

Star Wars Action Figures / Astromechs?
« on: March 5, 2007, 11:44 PM »
I was just wondering if any of you guys had tried boiling/popping any of the Hasbro Astromechs? The reason I ask is that the third "foot" on my TSC R4-K5 was put on backwards. I'm guessing that I could just boil/pop it to fix it, but I've never boiled/popped anything other than the "human" figures before. Just wondering if you guys had any advice/remedies for this. Thanks!
