Sorry. I didn't mean to imply that ALL young people are naive. I was trying to imply that according Erik Erikson, those from 12 to 18 face an Identity vs Role Confusion stage. During this stage adolescents face perhaps one of the most critical of crisis, the identity crisis where they try to find their identity. There are two outcomes:

Positive outcome: If the adolescent solves this conflict successfully, he will come out of this stage with a strong identity, and ready to plan for the future.
Negative outcome: If not, the adolescent will sink into confusion, unable to make decisions and choices, especially about vocation and his role in life in general.

So which outcome did GNT have according to Erikson?

ROTFL,

Chris, your cool. I saw that, just wanted to post to see where others thought that GNT is in his development. Bag might just work or hole, or . . . .

The problem with America is stupidity I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself

Ah yes, the douche.  Named for the loud sound that resulted from the unlikely collision of a truck hauling water with a truck hauling vinegar.

When I was in high school, I was at my best friend's house and went to get a snack from the pantry.  Right there on the same shelf with the snack cakes and the potato chips were not one, not two, but somewhere around a half dozen or more Massengale Douches.

There was a taunting to end all tauntings.
This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons.

Since we are talking RS again this week, I guess I should let you all know that my account at RS was banned/deleted last Thursday...

Apparently, you are no longer allowed to point out any hypocrisy that the RS Mods/Admins may posess.

The Admins over at RS were issuing warnings to forum members who have links in their signatures, citing this passage from the "official" RS forum rules:  "But using forum posts, or links in your signature designed to promote another Star Wars collecting website is not permitted. "

One admin in particular went so far as to say "If you truly respect the community you will choose to follow the same guidelines everyone else respects".

So, then I asked why at least 3 of the Admins/Mods over there all have links in their signatures that were "designed to promote another Star Wars collecting website "?  If they truely respected the community, shouldn't they have to follow the rules too?

And, as you can all guess - I did not get a straight answer, I only ended up with "Your account has been banned or locked" and an e-mail stating my affiliation with JD was the cause of my ban.    ::)

Those guys are pathetically sad over there.  You asked a perfectly valid question Jeff, about "practicing what you preach" or setting an example for others to follow, and instead of their guys saying "hey, you're right, we should probably remove all of the links from our own sigs before punishing our members for having them in their sigs", they totally freak out about JD once again.  I don't get it.  Well, I do get it, but I'm still always shocked by it...

I'm also quite curious as to why they're allowing one of their moderators to openly support both scalping and pornography in the RS forums.  Now that's really bizarre...  ???
