Anyone else picking these up? I've always been a Ninja Turtle fan but hated the first run of figs back in 1980something. I saw these new figs a couple of months back and HAD to pick some up. I've picked up Splinter, Foot Soldier, Shredder, Donatello, and Leonardo. I've still got to buy Raphael and Michealangelo.
Has anyone seen the next set of figs coming out? I hear they're making an April Oneal and a Casey Jones figure.
-
The next wave is Casey Jones, April ONeal and Hun. Boba Binks just posted that he found them in Indy! :) I have the first series, and they are very cool
-
I saw Wave 2 at Target yesterday...not interested in these toys but thought it was cool that I knew they were new!
-
What'd you think about the second series figs OCB? Did they do a good job on the Casey Jones fig? Th Hun sounds cool. I don't remember him though, is he a newer villan?
-
They looked pretty good. I thought April sorta looked like Teela from the MOTU line
I was wondering what happened to Be Bop and Rock Steady?
-
Good question. Those guys were pretty cool. I think they could do an especially good job on the figures now. The old ones stunk! I'm just hoping the Casey Jones fig looks something like the greatest wrestler of all time, STING, in the "Crow" costume. Although I am a Jericholic ;)
-
Yeah I found Series #2 at Target. April, Casey Jones, and Hun.
I also saw the new Mikey and Raphael weapons sets.
No signs of the Lair Playset with Splinter or the Foot Cycle.
-
Boba Binks, can you get us some pics of the new figs?
-
Sorry it tool so long to post this image.
I will take a pictue of them opened and on my shelf soon. It will probably be late on Sunday.

-
I need to get my bum back over to Target and pick these up. I was there a couple days ago and they had them, but didnt have my wallet on me, so I just hid them ;)
-
Thanks for the pics Boba Binks! I think I'm just gonna stick to the first series figs and stop at that. I guess I just like the turtles, Splinter, Shredhead, and the Foot.
-
Picked up Hun and April today, but no Casey :(
I LOVE the mousers! Very cool, but I wish you could make them keep their mouths in an open pose
-
More new TMNT toys are out! :)
Today at Wal-Mart I picked up the new Turtles: Leo w/ Scooter, Don w/ Bike, Mike w/ Skateboard, and Raph w/ Roller Blades.
Toys-R-Us and Meijers I have spotted the Lair Playset.
Target I saw the Foot Razor Jet Cycle.
-
Very Nice! I haven't seen any of the newer figures out here in CA. My kids would love these. My 5 year old got a ton for his birthday. The battle car(can't remember the name) is huge, seats 4 turtles and fires missles. My little guys call it the turtle minivan ;)
-
Today at Wal-Mart I picked up two new TMNT figures; Foot Tech Ninja and the Nanotech Monster (Nanobot).
Happy Hunting.
-
Are those two the only figures in that series, or are there others?
-
Just the two for this series.
Others to come out soon are-
Silver Sentry
Dr. Malignus
Clone Shredder with Claws
-
Going along with TMNT, there are two DVDs out right now for the new Turtles series. They have like three or four episodes. Two more are due in October, and also late this year (according to Amazon), there is some sort of TMNT DVD box set coming, and I assume it is the cartoon, because the maker is listed as Funimation (who makes the TMNT DVDs).
-
You are correct the TMNT dvd's are the FOXBOX Cartoons. Right now two are out with two more this Oct. The gift set will have all four of the discs and I have heard maybe with a figure (repack)- though I doubt this. I think it will just be the set of dvds.
As for more new figures here is what is coming real soon:
The Elite Guard Ninja
*From the images that I have these look like they are dresses in Sports. I am not really sure what sport they each have. They do not show the accessories.
(Sport Series) Leonardo (Hockey?)
(Sport Series) Donatello (Baseball?)
(Sport Series) Mikey (?)
(Sport Series) Raphael (Football?)
Robot (not sure of name) he is white and purple with a red light for a face.
Shredder (Removable Helmet)
*Theses are little scenes like the Star Wars sets.
Deluxe Casey Jones & Raphael Playset - includes Motor Bike.
Deluxe Donatello & Foot Ninja Playset -
Deluxe Splinter & Leonardo Playset-
Deluxe Mikey & April Playset -
Miniature Vehicles:
Raph on Cycle
Foor Ninja on RazorJet

Purple Dragon Gang Member
-
The next two DVDs are out:
- The Way of Invisibility
- The Shredder Strikes
-
Well another two waves of TMNT figures are hitting store pegs.
Today at TRU I picked up Armorized Shredder with Removable Helmet and Foot Gunner. Also in this wave is the Foot Elite Guard which I did not find on the pegs.
Also on the back of the cards it shows what I thought were a second wave of Sport Turtles. They are not, they are Fightin' Gear.
There is Fightin' Gear Don, Fightin' Gear Mike, Fightin' Gear Raph, and Fightin' Gear Leo.
So here is an updated list of future TMNT toys:
Current Wave 5: Out Now
Armorized Shredder

Foot Elite Guard

-
Today at TRU I saw a reissue vehicle. It is the Hummer Truck from the second attempt of TMNT reissued for the New TMNT. I forgot the name of it but it is priced at $19.99. I will pass on this item since I am only collecting the figures.
The Rehashed vehicle is called the "Turtle Tracker"
-
This morning I stopped in at K-Mart to blow some time. They are resetting the toy area.
I picked up a new TMNT vehicle. It is called the Shell Sub. It is a small toy about the same size box the Razor Cycle, Sew Slider, Bike? come in. This is by far my favorite TMNT vehicle for the new line. This little sub is cool looking and has many features and parts to attach. It holds one figure.
I recomend this toy for any TMNT fan.
-
The 5th and 6th discs for TMNT are out now (cant remember the titles). It looks like they have Raph on the binding.
-
Picked up the two new DVDs
-Notes from the Underground
-Shredder Strikes Back
At Wal-Mart in Plainfield this morning they had about 20 people stocking like madmen. I saw another new TMNT vehicle the Turlte Pogocopter or something like that.
-
Did you notice the two DVDs have the same binding? I was at Best Buy looking at them, and they've both got the same image. Wonder if this will be corrected...
-
Yeah the binding is fixed. The set I picked up have Raph's head. They are not the same. Cool find though!
-
I just got back from Toys-R-Us and found three new TMNT figures:
Toddler Turtles Pack – (Comes with all four Turtles) Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael
Foot Fire Mystic - Really cool Fire effect that attaches to Weapon
Turtle Titan - Mikey in his TT outfit.
On the back of the cards they show these figures:
Giant Mouser
Leatherhead
Quarry
Razorfist
Stonebitter
-Not sure if these are out yet or not. When I picked up the three today they were the last of each one.
Happy Hunting!
TURTLE POWER
UPDATE: The Evil Turtlebot is also in this wave.
-
At many Wal-Mart stores I have seen the basic figs being repacked with a DVD that has one episode on it.
I picked up Leatherhead and Razor Fist today. :)
-
Wal-Marts are getting tons of TMNT Figs. I picked up Giant Mouser and Stonebitter with Free DVD today.
-
Today at Target I picked up the new Space Hoppin' Turtles and the new DVD - Secret Origins.
Still have not found the Quarry figure which PlayMates said is out but limited. She will appear in later assortments.
-
I saw something today at Target that made me wish I was collecting this line.
It was a set of Toddler Turtles. Man, these were cool.
I had it in my hand, but I decided not to buy it. I noticed they had scads of other figures avialable, like Fugitoid, Silver Sentry, and even older figures like Casey and April. Reminded me of my TMNT heyday in 1990/91. :D I guess that's what this hobby is all about.
-
There is a $h!t load of new TMNT figures out there. I picked up Deep Divin' Leo, Mike, Raph, Don, Triceraton Warrior, Gen. Mozar, Silver Sentry, Fugitod, Baxter Stockman, Multi-Arm Shredder, Claw Shredder, TMNT on Bikes, TMNT SWAT Team. I have many of the vintage TMNT figs. I love this line. Almost more than Star Wars.
-
Not sure if anyone here is really interested and/or collects Turtles stuff, but I see there are some pics online at Previews (http://previews.diamondcomics.com/default.asp?t=1&m=1&c=23&s=132&ai=32999) for the action figures accompanying next year's CGI Ninja Turtles movie. Also, here's a larger pic of one of the figures HERE (http://i.toynewsi.com/g/index.php?mode=view&album=Playmates%2FTMNT_Movie&pic=55512DonVSMono-1.jpg&dispsize=600&start=0). Just thought I'd pass it along if anyone wanted a look. They don't look too bad really.
-
Saw the new TMNT: Fast Forward figures at Target earlier this evening. They didn't have Splinter, the one I most want, but they had all four Turtles and Casey Jone's grandson.
-
Has anyone seen the Buzzrok and Multiflex figures from the new Alien Hunters line? It debuted around the first of the year. The second time I saw them I saw one of those two figures - I believe it was Multiflex. I was considering picking up the full set for my site but elected not to at the moment, and since then I haven't seen either of these two figures. I recently checked and couldn't find any on eBay either (at least not in the U.S.). Just wondering if anyone else has seen these two at any point.

Found the 25th Anniversary rereleases of the vintage toys at Target today. $9 a whack, a DVD is included with one of the first five episodes, and they were on generic cardbacks. I remember when these were less than $4 each. As it is, I picked up Raph and Don, since I never had the original versions of those two. Odds are I'll go back and get Mike and Leo because I have an OCD for toys like these.
All that was there was two of each Turtle. I guess the villians and secondary heroes come in a different assortment.
It looks like this is the lineup- the four TMNT, Splinter, April, Casey Jones, Shredder, Bebop, Rocksteady, Foot Soldier, and Slash, who I don't remember coming out until 1990.
-
I saw them for the first time at Target today, too. Pretty funny--I didn't even know they were rereleasing them. And I only saw the turtles as well. I think I still have my set from back in the day, so no nine-dollar, 20+ year old action figures for me today, thanks. DVD or not.
-
I loved the TMNT toon afterschool, but I was way too deep into 2 Hasbro properties to go for this line. Glad you guys have a second chance at some "vintage" turtles though. :)
-
I saw these at Target this weekend as well, and like some of you, I guess I didn't even know they were coming out. I have to say I was tempted to pick up a turtle or two, but passed for now. If the funds allow later, I might pick up the four turtles and be done with it. I'm pretty sure the original turtle line was towards the end of my action figure buying as a kid, but it still holds some nostalgia for me as well. Seeing the same toys that were like $4 back then for $9 isn't thrilling though :).
-
I'll always have a special place in my heart for TMNT. They have really gone the distance as far as toy lines go. NECA has a line of Turtles
that are more true to the original comics. Just thought I would post a link to BBTS if you guys haven't seen them. I hope this is ok?

I've been looking for a set of those NECA TMNT. I found them on the Hot Topic website for $16 each, so I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I've heard they're fantastic action figures, and I'd like a set of them.
Any word on that Shredder that NECA was planning on releasing? That thing looked awesome.

Ok, a bit of an odd question I guess....but my daughter and I watched a Turtles movie this weekend on Nickelodeon ("Turtles Forever") that incorporated both the 1988 Turtles and the more modern incarnation. Anyways, for some reason, she really took to the turtles and was looking for some to play with. I dug out a couple I had packed away in storage, but I never had a ton of turtle stuff (loved the show, but didn't get quite as many toys at that time for some reason - I was 11 or 12)...and of course they don't have all their "stuff" either. Anyways, I remembered the 25th line that was out a year or two ago, and I was wondering - are these impossible to get a hold of at this point (or crazy expensive). I know they are long gone from stores, but I was just curious how possible it would be to pick up loose versions of the four turtles (or at least a couple of the others). Just wondering here if anyone knew more about the turtles line, because I can't say I've followed it for quite awhile now. Is there even a current line out there these days?
-
Not sure if anyone here cares about/collectors Turtles stuff, but I happened across these pics of the new line (that will accompany the new TV show on Nickelodeon later this year). Not too bad really:
New Turtles Toys (http://geek-news.mtv.com/2012/02/01/mtv-geek-exclusive-tons-of-tmnt-toys/)
I really only have the Turtles figs from when I was a kid, but always enjoyed that stuff back then. It was one of those lines that was sort of hitting towards the end of the toy buying kid years I think, so I only had the turtles and no one else.
-
That's a big ass, but fairly simple, playset they got there.
-
I was a big fan of Eastman and Laird's original B&W TMNT comics, but the storylines got lame by the time they started making figures and cartoons. The core four turtles shown look pretty nice with updated articulation, though I probably wouldn't shell out money for the line just due to lack of space. If I found them on the cheap at some point though... :P Definite pass on the vehicles and playsets, but they look kid friendly.
-
These new figures look very nice - both the classic and the modern versions - very nice
-
I heard that these figures are 4 1/2" tall. Not 3 3/4". Anyone seen this?
-
I am all over these...they are sweet
-
The old TMNT line was the first bunch of figures I collected religiously as a kid, so I am all over these. Here's hoping they do another series of the classics with Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang and all those other weirdos. Love it!

Me too, this, The Real Ghostbusters, and Star Trek...didn't get into Star Wars till I was 10 years old but TMNT will be my favorite toys.
-
I stick with the NECA versions i have. WIsh we could have gotten more out of that line.
-
They are also doing a classic line :o super articulated Figure from the original series here is a pics of them

also more on the site.
Oh God... I need money now :P
-
Is there any confirmation as to the scale of these TMNT figures?
I am all over this at 3 3/4" - 4". All. Over. It.
I'm not down for any at 6".

6" only, I wish it was 4" too. I will still get these and if sucessful they will do more like Shredder, Splinter etc.
-
These are all over now. I picked up the four turtles, which is enough for me, but they're really great little figures. I love the designs on the turtles. Krang and the Foot Soldier are okay. Splinter, Shredder, and April...not so much.
But the updates to the main four are pretty sweet.

Sprry what's the scale on these?
-
Roughly in scale with the vintage line. Closer to 5". Definitely bigger than 3.75". I don't have them in front of me right now, but I'd guess the Turtles are around 4- 5". In the packages, Shredder looks the biggest. He's close to 5".

My bad, Ryan--I thought you were talking about the new Classic figures but I guess you were talking about the new Basic figs based on the new show.
-
just saw this pic and now I am pretty interested...

and you were right, Michaelangelo is shorter

I always wanted to have a set of the Turtles, but missed the boat on the earlier vintage re-releases and that nice comic based box set. I grabbed a couple of those turtles at Target this week, and they are actually pretty nicely done. I saw both the regular and the "collector" (6") turtles at TRU today. I thought originally I'd want to get the collector versions, but the smaller ones are pretty spiffy too. Our daughter has been playing with the smaller version ones, and they are actually pretty nice toys. They aren't really "cartoony" like the upcoming toon look, and I kind of like the look of them - sort of comic booky in a way.
-
Ordinarily, I'd be interested in the Turtles but woud pass on them due to budget and space and stuff.
But, seeing as how I only have like 8 more Star Wars basic figures coming the rest of the year and a small smattering of exclusives (thanks, K-mart!) left to buy, I'm really tempted to pick up a set of the basic four. :-\
-
Funny how a lack of SW stuff can make a nerd collection look even more sad. :D
I actually was mapping out maybe picking up another 1:16 tank thanks to the lack of new anything pretty much till 2013... It wasn't even on my radar till the "final wave" was knocked down to online only. When army building isn't even an option, much less a longshot, it makes you look at other things to waste money on really fast.
Why not turtles?
-
I just used one of those $5 off coupons to start my turtle collection. I nabbed Michalangelo this morning for like $4.25 or something after tax - nice! I am going to go back tonight for more I think.
I have visited all of my family members to print off coupons ;D
-
and I went back tonight and purchases Donatello, Leonard, Splinter, and Krang. I used a $5 off coupon on each and did 2 at one register, left and did two at another 8)
update: just grabbed Raphael now too. 3 more to go
-
I picked up Donatello yesterday, always was my favorite turtle.
-
So, for those of you who are picking these up, are you opting for the new, smaller (from the upcoming toon I guess) Turtle figures, or the 6" collector ones (which I've only seen at TRU so far)? Both look nice in their own ways, but part of me almost likes the smaller ones better - even though the "collector" figures are sort of based on the cartoons I remember.
-
the new ones - so they are still similar in scale to the majority of everything else I collect
-
I actually picked up Donatello in both scales. I really dont see myself picking up any others (unless they do an awesome classic version of Casey Jones) so felt comfortable in knowing that my TMNT buying is done.
-
Yesterday I scored Dogpound and Metalhead.
-
I saw all 3 of the new figures at TRU on Saturday and I left them there. They wanted $10 for each of them now so I will hold off until they go on a good sale. Out of the 3 I thought the fish dude looked the best. The dog guy looked like a giant, heavy hunk of plastic - not much going on there imo.
-
I finally caught the new show and think I'll cave on the 4 turtles now - sick of leaving them behind everytime I see them. TRU had some Buy 3 get one free sale last week but they were $12-$13 a piece but comes out to about even with WM's $7.77 price.
4 turtles and I'm walking away......
-
That's what I ended up doing. I always wanted to get a set of the turtles, but passed on previous versions for one reason or another, but ended up picking these up. I think they are actually pretty nice toys. For some reason our daughter has really taken to the new Turtles show, and I picked some of the figures up for her and thought they were pretty nice (the show isn't bad either really). I won't be getting anymore most likely, but not because they are bad - I've got enough stuff to find room for the way it is :). Our daughter has already put the Shellraiser van on the Christmas list though :).
-
Just an observation more than anything else, but the Turtle stuff seems to be selling like crazy around here for Christmas and everything. Our daughter has gotten way into the new show (which, by the way, is pretty good actually) and we picked up a few things for her for Christmas (the Shellraiser, some bad guys, etc.) Most of our stores are sold out, or one day I'll see them get a fresh batch of figures and it will be sold through in a matter of days for the most part. I haven't seen the van or that big playset for a couple of months now. Our daughter wanted the playset as well, but she also asked for the Barbie dream house, so the Mrs. made the executive decision on that one :). Anyways, not necessarily news by any means, but just an observation that this line seems to be doing quite well - at least around here. If you haven't checked out the show (and like cartoons), I'd suggest giving it a watch, I think I've enjoyed it as much as she has.
-
Ya they have sold through pretty well at least at Target...Haven't really been to a WM or TRU in awhile. I did pick up the 4 turtles last month but there still in the toy backlog.
-
I don’t know if there are a lot of Ninja Turtle collectors here, but I just had to post regarding ALL the new figure lines we have seen here lately. I personally haven’t gotten any of it really, but it has been tempting. Basically something for about everyone. In the past year or so, we have seen:
Rise of the TMNT (current cartoon)
NECA Movie Turtles (Gamestop)
NECA ‘80s Cartoon Turtles (Target)
NECA Arcade Turtles
DC Collectibles Batman vs TMNT 2 Packs (Gamestop)
Super 7 Reaction Turtles (@$18 each!)
Super 7 Ultimates Turtles (MOTU Classics style, based on original toyline) - coming 2020
Probably others I’m forgetting, but whatever you era it seems like you are covered. There is a part of me tempted to collect one of the lines, just sticking to one look. Of the above, I’ve only picked up a movie Mikey. I was tempted by the Target ‘toon 2 packs, but at $50 each I just couldn’t drop $200 to get all the Turtles, and I rarely saw them and certainly never saw them at once. I know those are coming back this Fall (with the Turtles packed together this time), and adding new characters as well. If I collected any of these it would probably be the 80s toon stuff, or the upcoming Ultimates line, because I remember being super into both the old cartoon and original toyline as a kid. The movies too, to be honest, but not quite as many characters represented there.
