We can't have any spelling of Dick's last name but we can write his first name. LOL.

I guessing you don't have the "Leave words uncensored" option checked in your forum profile settings.

Works just fine for me - Van ****, VanDyke.

Not terribly famous, but Jon Paul Steuer,  the first actor to play Worf's son on Star Trek the Next Generation, passed away.

And Harry Landers who had a role in the final original Star Trek episode "Turnabout Intruder"

Star Wars Universe / Re: Is Star Wars special anymore?
« on: January 5, 2018, 02:23 AM »
Don't hold back now, Jesse.  :D

Yeah, Lucas is no Bill Watterson. (Calvin & Hobbes' creator who refused to license his creations out at all, IIRC)

I don't know if I'm a super fan. I had to step back after seeing The Last Jedi to assess how I felt about it and Star Wars as a whole.  In the end, what my dad said "it was worth seeing" sums it up. High praise, cuz he didn't care for The Force Awakens. LOL.

Star Wars is only special when it's the Holiday Special.

Okay, special? The sequels have messed up part of the fairy tale aspect of the OT, if you consider the OT to have that. Lucas considered the Empire dead after ROTJ. Not in retreat...over with. Kaput. Every post-OT thing ignored him. (So what were his plan for the Sequels?)

But what's done is done. Good, bad, meh, a new Star Wars movie every year is fine. None of us are getting younger.

Now to sign that petition to disavow The Last Jedi.... >:D

Other Toy Lines / Rampage movie toys.
« on: January 4, 2018, 06:16 PM »
Like with Kong Skull Island, Lanard will be making Wal-Mart exclusive Rampage movie toys. Some potential for other uses here. Lizzie could eat a few dewbacks! Ralph can fill in for Fenris. George has the makings of a Grodd.

Other Toy Lines / Re: 2018: What Are You Collecting?

Hopefully nothing.

Even when VOTC, I expect not find any of the figures I'd want and/or will balk whatever the price is.

But I'll come across something used somewhere and give in. Or clearance junk.

The Last Jedi / Re: TLJ 3.75" Basic Figure Line

Hasbro wised up. Why make new figures for cases that won't even appear at retail?

Was flametrooper even in the Last Jedi?

Um...he's still alive. Rose Marie who appeared on the Dick Van **** show died a few days ago.

Good-Bye Sue Grafton

Unless her next release is Z is for Zombie

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS)

Poe's got a lot of troubles, because there's just about no one left to command. No fleet. No base.

The next movie will be like Ocean's 14 because that's the number of Resistance members left.

Their distress calls will be answered...by the Yuuzhan Vong.

Star Wars Anthology / Re: Solo (SPOILERS)
« on: December 29, 2017, 05:23 PM »
We are still using Neck Beard as the description for fanboys we think we are better than? (I always picture that Jon Tron guy) What was the neck beard consensus on these recent three movies? I was never sure.  There was general audience love for Force Awakens, fanboy split. Then Rogue One seemed to be a fanboy split, general audience mixed reactions (including it was boring...). Now The Last Jedi is the same as Rogue One on a larger scale...with some denying that there's general audience dissatisfaction with the film. All the negativity is a small group of bitter fanboys! (I don't think so...)

At the Last Jedi showing there was a local Silent Bob wannabe looking guy there. Why are you wearing a backwards cap in subzero weather...to go see a movie?

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS)

I'll never forgive the film for Admiral Ackbar dying early and Grape Kool Aid Hair lady getting what could've been his heroic death.

NEVER.

Rian Johnson will find a fish head on his bed.
