Press Release from Funko (http://www.funko.com/):

"Funko, home of the Wacky Wobbler, is proud to announce an agreement with Lucas Films LTD to produce Star Wars Bobblehead products. Funko will take a unique approach with the Star Wars franchise by applying the beloved FunKo style to the lightweight PVC Vinyl bobbles. Look for icons such as Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Yoda as well as cult favorites like Greedo, Jawa, Gamorrean Guard, Tusken Raider, and many many more!

Funko will also be producing the first ever 12" Star Wars Super Deformed Style Bobble Banks, as well as Bobble Ships, Mini Wobblers and much more!

Also, Funko will introduce Chase Pieces into each case. One special limited edition 7" wobbler will be included per case that will surely add some cool collectibilty and fun to the Star Wars Funko line.

So look for Star Wars to be FUNKO-IZED this July!"

Oh.  Crap.

I already own a couple of Funko Wacky Wobblers; the evil monkey that lives in Chris' closet on Family Guy and a Frankenberry Wobbler.

Annoying to see they're going with chase pieces too.  1/36 is a pretty nasty ratio when there's only 2 versions in each shipment (presumably).

Smart company though, only two PT wobblers in the bunch and those are a clone trooper and Yoda with a lightsaber.  Obviously someone is paying attention somewhere.

Yeah, these could be trouble for me as well - depending on price and how difficult they are to pick up.  I've always wanted to get a bobblehead for the desk here, so I'd probably try to at least get the Han (and a Chewie, if they make one later).  We'll have to see, these do look kind of neat from the illustrations.

Blister (http://www.blister.jp/item/list/character/125/maker/193/) has some of these listed, the Wacky Wobbler SW Darth Vader & TIE Fighter lists as 4,800 Yen so $40. US. Reservation price of 3,900 Yen or about $33. US.

Wacky Wobbler SW Boba Fett, Clone Trooper & Darth Vader list as 1,900 Yen so about $16. US. Reservation price of 1,600 Yen or $13.40.

May show up on HLJ.

Funko usually has distribution in the US pretty thoroughly, so I wouldn't be going overseas for these in a hurry.  I consider those Japanese prices to be kind of scary high.  The $16/13.40 USD for singles is much more in line, as I'd have pegged the wobblers at around $10-12 USD.  I got my convention exclusive Evil Monkey for around $10 CAD, so these things aren't made of gold and retail shouldn't be that high.

Vader & Tie Fighter will obviously be higher, but more than double?  Nuh-uh.

This actually looks like a pretty cool little line. And $10 isn't bad either. Anyone know if these will be available at any brick-and-mortar stores?

It appears to be a Red Clone Trooper.  Can't be certain if it's a bobble head, but it's limited to 1000 units. Page 46 of the guide.

I ended up getting the 7" Vader Bobble TIE Fighter as an early Christmas present from BrentS.  This is priceless and makes a great addition to my Vader collection here at work...

I've been seeing these quite a bit at our local Targets this year.  I have the Han Solo one, but haven't picked up any others (and likely, other than maybe Chewie, probably won't).  I did see a Gamorrean Guard one today that was kind of cool looking though.  Anyone pick any of these up?  Judging by preorders on BBTS and other places, there are quite a few of these on the way (including larger ones like Han on Taun Taun, Luke in X-Wing, etc.).

My mom bought me a Greedo bobblehead yesterday. I really didn't need a new line, but I really like this Greedo so of course I have to get some more so he's not all alone! :) I'll probably only pick up my favorites (Boba and Vader are no-brainers for me), although I rarely see these at retail.

Does anyone know whether every character has a chrome-based counterpart or only certain ones?

So far I have only seen this on Boba, Obi-Wan, Jawa, and Utapau Clone and I wonder if that is most or all of the characters available this way or if they are simply uncommon enough that few have surfaced yet.

EDIT: Nevermind. I have now seen a wide variety of chrome-based characters being sold and traded in forums at other sites. I fear these shall be a pain to track down..

I'm not real into the superdeformies or the bobbleheads, but I picked up Han Solo for the collection. If they ever come out with Queen Amidala/Padmé, I'll have to have that one, too.

I'm planning to get a few of the main characters to display with my Kubricks and was wondering are all the bases the same size and if anyone could tell me how wide they are so I know how many I can get in a line !! 8)
