Wow.  That Luke is awesome.  LOVE it!

That EU thing better ship in small quantities.  My totally non-scientific observations show that the Quinlan Vos is the real pegwarmer of the TPM wave, and not surprisingly so.

I dunno...  I think the VOTC Han is pretty close in likeness...

Most retailers don't manage magazines though.  There are news services dedicated to it.

This discussion reminds me of my youth, going to the drug store to get new comics.  I remember that my mother's store of choice did not carry GI Joe, so I would have to regularly plead for trips to a different store to get my Joe on.

For media consumption,

The iPad is a wonderful device for consumption, but it is lousy (with a few exceptions) as a creative device.

I like the quality of these releases, and I wish they could have brought over all the stuff from the existing DVD (pet peeve of mine when they don't do that).  The thing that annoys me most on these is the super-clunky menus.  It is all so slow and cumbersome, just to try and be flashy.  I find them annoying.

At least you did your part for Mother Earth.

I have been with BBT since the first airing.  It is really funny.  Truly made for nerds.

My new show I have been catching up on is How I Met Your Mother.  I remember watching it when it first came on and being underwhelmed.  I really think it is funny, and it will be interesting to see if they can wrap up flash-back storytelling better than Lindelof and Cuse did. :)  I am just starting the sixth(?) season on Netflix ( the last season they have).

Goes to show you that the writers aren't afraid to kill off anyone.

Damn right.  I was shocked last week, and again this week.  The best part is that as much of a douche as Shane has been, he was dead on 100% right when he was telling Rick that Carl needs his daddy more than the group needs Rick to lead for the moment.

Manning is a huge risk-reward case, probably the biggest one ever.  It pains me as a Pats fan to say it, but the guy is elite, and an instant game-changer.  If he is healthy.

I think Indy made the right move, though I am not sure why the league never investigated their obvious tanking to get the top pick.

I think Manning ends up in Miami.

4G is nice.  I guess I just expect more, and Apple needs to know that they need to WOW! next time out or that "Can they do it without Steve" question will get louder and louder.

I think that's absurd.  You can't revolutionize the industry every 3 months.  They're absolutely still on the leading edge of all of this stuff, they are by far the most popular and profitable, and the iPhone 4s proved that even their upgrades to existing models sell like crazy.

There really aren't any "can they do it without Steve" questions by the way.  Allegedly, Jobs laid out a 10 year plan or something along those lines, Tim Cook has been in line to take over for years now, and Apple's stock is performing like crazy.

No one is really worried about Apple at this point.

I preface this by saying that I am not an Apple hater by any means; I LOVE my iPad.

That said, if you think they are on the leading edge, then I think you need to do some research.  I think that because of the nature of their platform, Android is the edge.  And while Apple is the leader, and profitable, they have lost some significant market-share to, of all things, Kindle.  They have MAJOR competition coming this year from Microsoft (whose product will be an enterprise-level solution, unlike iPad).

And people are definitely saying asking questions about direction.  I am not saying those questions are justified in reality, but perception can be reality.

Also, even if Steve DID lay out a "plan," what good is any plan that does not react to market conditions?  To me this is more of a negative than a positive.

Yay! I just got an hour of my life back next year...FOX has officially cancelled "Terra Nova".

Let's just hope no one else is unfortunate enough to pick this up...let it die mercifully. I haven't missed this show one iota since it went off the air.

Kinda begs the question though, can FOX really cancel Terra Nova, Fringe, and Alcatraz all in the same year? Their network will be weirdness-free, kinda sad.

After I fell asleep while watching most episodes of this show, I decided to stop watching a while back.  This is not surprising.

Dud.  Aside from a pretty screen, is there anything about New iPad that makes you go "WOW!!"?
