Title: Reducing Junk Mail
Post by: Rob on March 13, 2007, 04:31 PM
We probably all know about the do-not-call list by now... but have any you tried taking steps to reduce junk mail?  They must cut down a tree a week to bombard me with useless advertisements every week... so a co-worker tells me about this site you can go to to get yourself off national mailing lists.  I was wondering if any of you had tried it.

Here's where I was starting:

Seems simple enough, but I didn't like the idea of sending someone a check (regardless of the amount) and was wondering if there was anything shady about that.

So, anyone tried any of this?

Thanks in advance.

the only one i have ever heard of who really tried to reduce his junk mail was Kramer.  and, we all know how that turned out.

as for the donation, i would probably go with the money order instead of a check.  if it is a scam i wouldn't be too unhappy about being scammed for a couple of bucks as long as my identity didn't get stolen too.

This is going to end up under the classification of "You Can't Fight City Hall".  I think this is pretty much a futile effort.

"Now you want that mail, don't you Mr. Kramer."
